They stop the wine. At first I only trusted them right side up, but have stored them a day or 2 on their side in the wine fridge and never had a leak. Simple and effective.

These work great. I was a little worried as a reviewer stated that it just popped out of the bottle. We make our own wine and occasionally there seems to be a little gas is some of them, but we have had no issues with that happening. If anything, sometimes I may have a little difficulty removing it. It's not high from the top of the bottle so it fits in my fridge well, when using with white wines. Have been using them for several months now and have no complaints.

these are awesome & exactly what i was looking for. i like how the bottom part is graduated in size, so it really doesn't matter how narrow or wide the opening of your bottle is -- the stopper goes in as far as it needs to, and keeps your wine fresh. I had a bottle of red that i had opened about 3 weeks ago, and put in the fridge with one of the stoppers inserted. then i got sick with bronchitis, so wasn't about drinking wine for some time... well, i just tried a glass tonight to see how it had fared, and found the wine tasted as fresh as when i had originally opened the bottle. these stoppers do what they are supposed to do, keep your wine/beverages fresh. very pleased.

These are great! I’ve been able to put the bottle on its side without leaking. Sits more flush with the top of the bottle so some bottles now fit upright in door.

I bought this product looking for a few things: a strong seal that won't leave wine into my fridge, a short profile that let my bottle fit into a specific spot in my fridge, and something that is non-existent toxic and easy to wash. This product hit every one of my criteria completely. Plus they look nice, the colors are darker and don't draw a lot of unneeded attention. And for those interested, they come in a nice little package, perfect for a gift.

I'm very happy with these and am glad I gave up those corks and vacuum pump stoppers. Corks can have their issues and I had problems with vp stoppers losing their vacuums. (Or maybe they kept their vacuums and the wine still didn't last that long.) But when I combined these stoppers with gas aerosol spray, my wine kept its fresh taste for the several days it can sometimes take for me to finish a bottle. I also like that they're easy to wash and reuse.

How excited can one get about wine bottle stoppers? Enough to give a 5-star rating. I used to think about getting wine stoppers every time I opened a bottle of wine and had trouble re-inserting the cork. I finally found this product on Amazon and decided to give it a try, knowing I could return it via Amazon Prime if it didn't work out OK. These stoppers work in wine bottles and champagne bottles whose openings turn out to vary in size, even when the bottles come from the same manufacturer or even the same case. They are simple to rinse and clean. We always have at least one or two bottles of wine open at a time so having four of these in the package is a good number for us. I plan to buy another set of four for our summer cabin.

EXCELLENT fit and quality. I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical about being able to lay the wine bottles on their sides with these stoppers. So what I did was filled an empty wine bottle with water, inserted one of these stoppers in it and left it on it's side overnight with a bowl under it to see if any of the water would leak out. Surprisingly, not one drop of water was in the bowl. I was sold and knew I have made a wise choice in buying these. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Where do these things disappear to? These stoppers are much easier to use than the ones that come in the bottles. They work well for white wine, but they don’t allow for evacuation of the air that is needed for red wine.

I bought them to "cork off" beer and soda's that I don't finish. They work awesome for that purpose. I finished off a beer a couple days later and it tasted just like when I opened it a couple days before, the same with soda's. The soda still had the same amount of carbonation to it as before. I haven't found a bottle that they didn't fit, but I would imagine that they are out there. Your average beer or soda bottle works great.
