Excellent
I'm very happy with this scope so far. An interesting thing happened, in my case. The picture shown here on Amazon, and the picture shown on the Amscope website, and the scope in the video on the Amscope website that shows the operation, all show the lighting controlled by two rocker switches, one is on-off and the other selects whether top light or bottom light, no intensity control. The scope I received is the same model number, but instead of the rocker switches, it has two rotary switches, one for top light and one for bottom light, and each switch rotates from off to high and controls the light intensity of both lights, and, if so desired, both lights can be on at the same time, though I can't imagine when I would want to do that. But it was a happy surprise, I suppose they have updated the model, but they haven't changed the pictures, even on their own website. Interesting. Anyway 5 stars. So far. One small amendment: Those tiny screws you have to remove and replace to change the eyepieces are a pain, However, it's a small price to pay. Still 5.

I am using this for insect identification in my entomology masters. It is absolutely clear enough for my needs and it's so handy to have it wireless.

Good fun!
This little microscope is good fun! I should have bought one sooner. I have an older Nikon high-power microscope, so I wasn't sure why I would want a little stereo microscope, but this is more useful for me than a high-power microscope. I look at food, insects, little plants, things found around the house. It is great! The quality of the microscope seems fine. It is lighter than the professional Nikon, which isn't a surprise. But I'm not using it in a commercial environment or a laboratory, so I think it will be fine. all parts move smoothly and the optics seem good. I am enjoying it immensely!

This is a great scope and I'm enjoying using it very much
This is a great scope and I'm enjoying using it very much. I have not used a 3D microscope since biology class in high school very many years ago. I had forgotten what a thrill it is just to look at common everyday objects super up close. The only downside I can see to it is that you need to use a very small Phillips head screwdriver on tiny set screws in order to loosen the eyepieces and replace with the different Power eyepiece. I wish you did not have to use a screwdriver to switch the eye pieces in and out.

So amazing for kids!!!!
We got this stereo microscope for our 5-year-old, and it has been an absolute hit. WAY better quality than the “kids” microscopes by AmScope – 100% metal and superior optics. My daughter also loves that she can put anything on the platform to look at, instead of just small flat things to put between slides. LOVE THIS!!

Nice!
Great scope for the house or school. Helps get the young ones into science. First time my granddaughter seen a lady bug at 60x she freaked a little, but we have looked at hundreds of things since.

it has a third magnification setting and can be used in the field because its light is LED and batteries is all it takes for great illumination away from wall 110V
I had a stereo dissecting microscope for several years and gave to my son for his 4-H teaching. The new scope that I just bought is lighter, it has a third magnification setting and can be used in the field because its light is LED and batteries is all it takes for great illumination away from wall 110V. I am very happy with this AmScope product.
