My cats have a very old skanky catnip banana exactly like this one that's their second favorite toy, but as I said, it's quite old, VERY skanky, and the catnip has lost some of its "oomph." Still, when the cat toys get cleaned up and put back in the cat toy box, Banana is one of the first things they pull out. I got their old Banana at PetSmart, and have been looking for a new one each time I go back, to no avail. I finally thought to look on Amazon, and lo and behold... there he was, big as life and twice as ugly!!! Needless to say, I immediately placed an order for two Second Bananas (and also for one of their very favorite toys, the catnip filled fish, made by the same company). It was a glorious day when Fishy Jr. and the Second Bananas arrived!! (If anyone wants to call their band Fishy Jr. and the Second Bananas, please be my guest.) The cats had an excellent new cat toy party, then they conked out and took naps with Fishy Jr. and the Second Bananas. A fine time was had by all.

She loves it. I got the banana actually, but it got lost in the mail or something. I never received it, but they refunded my money so I got the cactus. This is Sativa May's favorite toy, which used to be a red ball. You can smell the catnip when you open the package. Wow! She just licks it! It's sopping wet. She fell asleep on it, too! It seems quite sturdy. The material is almost canvas-like and it's sewn well. I suppose I could restuff it if it loses its pizazz, but it would require cutting it open and re-sewing it. Or I could just buy another.

I have 2 large male cats. They are both about 16 but still very active, indoor cats. Over the years, I have bought them many toys. Since my babies are big, they can really tear apart some cat toys! I love the chili pepper and the banana because they are well made, stand up to scratching and licking, and they are a great size for them to run around with, or just cuddle up beside. Anything with strings, feathers, glued on garbage, cheaply made, etc, they destroy and sometimes ingest!!! These Cosmic Catnip toys are well-made, last a long time, and my cat LOVE THEM!!! Here's a good tip: I have been known to refill these with catnip! The seams weaken and break eventually (literally about 6 months to a year later). I empty the toy completely then give it a good wash and let it dry, pull out some of the stitches to make enough room to get a funnel into, then refill the toy with fresh catnip and stitch it back up. This extends the life of it for a bit.

My kitties have EVERY Cosmic Catnip toy that I can get my hands on. I guess for a cat nip toy you could call them pricey, but they are worth every cent. They have the banana (nip nanner), the carrot, the fish (nip fishy), the chili pepper, and the discontinued orange mouse was just thrown into the trash after 3 years! It was totally empty. The snake (nip snakey, of course) arrived today and they love it. What I love about these toys, and why I don't mind the price, is first and foremost, the cats love them and play with them for hours. Second, they are quality canvas. It's thick and can withstand bites and claws. The nip comes out I guess, because they have emptied several, but you never see it. It's gradual. You'll see little teeth marks like a tiny vampire got hold of it, but you'll never see a tear or hole. Also, the catnip smells of good quality (minty, and an easily detected scent to my human nose, unlike some cheaper toys) and each and every toy of this brand has always been packed absolutely full of it. I have only seen these sold in one major pet store chain, and the price on Amazon is the same, and the variety is better. Treat your furry ones to a toy they will love.

What is this sorcery in the shape of a carrot? I needed the classic 3 dollars item to get free prime shipping and decided for a toy for my cat. I have THREE cats but 2 of them are mummies. 8 years old black cats which show ZERO interest in anything that moves unless is a mouse or a bird. My maine coon is much more satisfying, at least he appreciates my attempts of being a good mom cat. Anyhow. Got my carrot and with not much hopes threw it on the floor. MAGIC exploded immediately. Orange cat went NUTS on kicks, licks, snouts, breaths, drools and more kicks. For THREE HOURS. The other black boy pather came back in from his hunting outside and found the carrot. AGAIN huff puff, roll and kick. Ok this is good stuff. I came back and bought 2 more dark magic imbued carrots. They arrived today. And for kicks i gave one to the ice queen. A scrawny tiny 6 lbs black female witch cat. Cold as stone. No feather, no tail, not wand, no catnip mice EVER caught her attention in our 8 years together. Well tonight i hear huffin and puffin and scratching, i turn my chair and.. i have to double check. The ice queen is going nuts with the carrot. Yep. THis is certainly dark magic.

My sweet Spanish cat Mimi doesn't enjoy toys at all, but she goes crazy for this banana. She's had one for about 3 years, and it's now old and nasty and dirty, and all slobbered up. I find her sleeping on it, sleeping with it in her arms, and licking it like it was her kitten - soaking it with slobber. Then she soaks her own head with slobber by rubbing all over the soaked banana. For some reason it didn't occur to me to buy more for her until today - so I'm ordering 3 more. Hopefully she'll love them all as much as this old dirty one, so I can toss it in the garbage on the sly. ;) Luckily she doesn't speak English, so she won't read this review.

I originally purchased one of these to send in a “crazy cat lady” swap box, and my cats went absolutely nuts trying to get it out of everywhere I tried to hide it to keep them out of it, so I ordered another one for them! They promptly both attacked it! Throwing it around, pouncing on it, scratching it with their back legs while they held it, and ultimately rubbing themselves all over it! There is no stuffing, it is completely FILLED WITH CATNIP!! It’s an amazing toy if your kitties like the nip! Quick tip: buy more than one!!

I wasn't sure if my cat would play with this carrot you but as soon as I put it down, she attacked it and started kicking, biting and licking it. I knew I had to buy her a second one. Now she only plays with these two carrots. She also loves to sit and lie on them.

My cats ADORE this banana. They play with it constantly and it was an instant hit! We found a stray outside (whose previous owners tossed him outside). Thankfully he was microchipped so we found out his background. This toy allowed him to open up and be his playful self. He was extremely reserved and didn't know how to be social with people or other cats. He's like a different cat when he plays with this toy. It's a plain, well-sized banana (doesn't have the cosmic catnip patch shown in the picture) and it's more dull... but that doesn't affect that fact that my cats love it. They bunnykick, chew, lick, and love this banana! For $3, you can't get a better toy! *My cats love these catnip filled toys!! They go crazy for the OurPets catnip. I have 3 Carrot, 3 Banana, and 5 Chilli Pepper toys from OurPet.*
