Good transaction, very satisfied

This machine came fairly quickly. Be warned though, I got a random text from a third party carrier about scheduling a drop off with no indication on what the product was; so I thought it was a spam text. Later, I got an email from the amazon buyer that I’d be contacted by a third carrier. This machine arrive attached to a crate . You’ll need bolt cutters to cut the metal strap that locks the machine down to the crate. It’s mainly assembled, you’ll just have to add the machine oil, place the machine in the table, and wrap the belt around the motor. Runs like a quiet beast! I love it! The manuel that cones with it is slightly confusing, and is mainly for how to fully assemble the machine, I’d watch a youtube video on how to put together a mostly assembled machine!

Sadly, over the years Singer has gotten a bad rap, however their industrial machines are still top notch with the release of this series. I have sewn with this machine and the machines series it replaced and found them all to be solid workhorses. The price is great for those looking to get their first industrial (or industry professionals) and find my machine every bit as smooth as my juki. If you are looking to make clothes from light materials get the 20 as this machine is purpose built for denim and canvas and will eat any light cottons, silks and the like. If you are looking to make jeans, over garments (heavy tweeds, meltons etc), canvas bags, this machine is for you. I can not recommend this machine enough as it is solid and even the design aesthetics harken back to the old singer industrials. The only way they could have made it better is to bring back the black japaning and gold letters. For those say this machine is too fast, the art of manipulating your pedal takes practice but you'll have it in no time at all. As the singer rep says above, it's like driving a car. You may need to do some adjustments to the clutch motor spring or the pedal linkage to find that sweet spot that works for you to have full control. However, if you have the option GET a servo. They are smoother, speed adjustable AND only draw power when you need it. I am currently saving my chips to get the 20 as well as I have been so impressed with this machine.

I use this machine to sew heavy canvas and some of my seams are 4 thickness of canvas and this machine rolls right over it! Servo motor makes no noise. Am very happy with this machine. I also have an artisan industrial with servo motor. Both excellent machines. Both run 8-10 hours a day! Artisan has to be retimed about once a month. Still a great machine.

I had too send it back! The shipper say's it was too heavy! Very disappointed!

I have my own sewing business. My machine runs anywahere from 2 to 10 hours a day. My old singer of 35 yrs. finally gave up, so I was pressed into emergency mode. From order to sewing again, it was a little over a week. It came fully assembled except for the bobbin winder and thread tower. My new machine runs like a dream. EXTREMELY happy.

The article is as expected

Yes it's also a wonderful sweing machine
