Perfect thanks install and great quality, except for the exhaust tip clamps

I converted my stock single side exit exhaust to this. If you have the single outlet exhaust stock, you will need to pick up the OEM exhaust hanger, bolt, and two hanger insulators for the left side of the exhaust to be supported. The hanger gets bolted on top of the rear crossmember. The clamps seem heavy duty. All the piping fit snug, not too loose like some systems. Clamps hold everything down securely. I had mine tac welded for safe measures. I love that you can choose dual exit side or dual exit rear. If you do dual exit rear, you need the bumper with the cutouts to look nice. The ONLY issue I ran into was that the relief cuts on the tips weren't enough to clmap the tip securely to tailpipe, and that bolt isn't that strong. I cut another 1/2 to an inch of relief and upgraded to a grade 8 bolt the same size. No leaks, holds very securely now!

I bought this from CC Auto Shop for a great price. I did a lot of research on aftermarket exhaust kits and I decided this one was best for me. The 50 series muffler seemed to be the better route. No fiber glass or filters and expected truck performance increase. I had some skepticism because I know there are fake Flowmaster Mufflers out there, and the price had me worried. I contacted this seller and made them aware of my concerns. They reassured me that this wasn’t a scam and that the entire product was authentic. It arrived 4 days after I ordered it and it took about 3 hours to prep, remove my factory exhaust system, and install this exhaust system. All without jacks or a lift and just hand tools. I tightened the last bolt and fired up the truck. Let me say I was surprised with the level of noise, pleased that it was noticeable and with that patented Flowmaster sound. I had to test it out. There is a minor change in the throttle response and power at speeds less than 50mph. However, when I took my truck on the interstate, I knew I got my money’s worth. There is greater acceleration and power at higher speeds than with my Mopar exhaust. It was like my truck could finally breathe (I also have a K&N intake, which seems to perform better with this exhaust). It sounds great and turns heads when you accelerate. But it’s not overwhelming. The only con is at 2000rpms at 60mph with MDS off there is a noticeable drone in the cab. In a few years, or on a different truck, I’ll have to try the super10 muffler (outlaw), but for now, The American Thunder kit is one of the best upgrades I’ve made to my truck. We’ll see if the boated improved fuel economy with this exhaust can balance out what I lost with my leveling kit.... if I can manage to not floor it out of ever stop light cuz I love the way that 8 cylinder sounds!

Easy to install (on a brand new truck)

This exhaust kit is exactly what I wanted. Easy to install (on a brand new truck), and it sounds awesome. I went with the dual out the side configuration, but it comes with straight pipes to go out the rear if you want. Solid product.

Thunder indeed

Sounds so good. Not bad to install. I never welded it. It comes with incredible clamps.

Spot welding recommended

Fit together well but the clamps by themselves are the weak link. The band clamps are only good enough to hold in place while spot welding the exhaust to keep it in place. The exhaust tips come with bolts to tighten onto selected rear/side exit choice but do not secure snug enough not to be tight.

Great muscle sound

Great sound. Pretty quiet while in idle which is nice if it’s your everyday vehicle.

Near Perfect Fitment

Install on 2009 Dodge Ram SLT Quad Cab. All the hangers were almost dead on, only minor adjustments were needed. Vast improvement in sound, system sounds almost stock at idle, nice bass around 2000rpm.

HEMI Power

This product is great. The added power is awesome. The throaty sound is well throaty.
