An Easier Reach Than Other Brands

I bought both these and also another brand, but definitely like Platypus better. They are just a smidge more narrow, so that I can get them under the wire more easily. I can get under all the wires but one, with these. In photo, Platypus is on top.

Braces are no fun, but these flossers make it easier.

These flossers are a life saver, or at least a time saver! As an adult braces user, my teeth are VERY sensitive, but these are pretty comfortable to use. When my braces were first put on, there were several teeth were the wires and brackets were just too tight, but a couple months in, I was able to use them between all my teeth. For reference, check out the picture comparing a platypus and plackers flossers, the one with orange being the plackers brand. I highly recommend the platypus brand; the other brand is thicker, and I can't fit them under the wire in several teeth.

These were super helpful for my daughter to clean between her brackets. So much faster than string floss.

Makes flossing with braces great again

I just got braces for the first time as an adult. The thing I was dreading most was oral hygiene, especially flossing. Using threaders seemed like it would be super time-consuming. But then I discovered these. It took 3-4 uses to get used to them but now I can't imagine living without them while I have braces. I feel sorry for the poor souls that are still using threaders. Maybe this is gross to some people but I find that if I wash them thoroughly I can use them for at least a week each, making them a lot cheaper than they seem.

Kid tested, kid approved

My 11yo daughter got braces a couple weeks ago. The orthodontist gave her some of those thready loop things to aid in flossing and told her to floss every day and I smiled and nodded and remembered back to when I had braces and can probably count on no hands the number of time I flossed. I don't even remember being told it was an option. It looked tedious and cumbersome and I was not looking forward to asking her to do it. She was actually super diligent about it it for about a week, and then she started asking for "ortho picks." I looked them up and they looked promising and easy to use but I also came across the platypus brand and I ordered these because they looked quite similar and I love platypi. (Not saying that's a GOOD reason but it's a reason) My daughter loves these. So much easier then threading floss under the wires. I had thought we would try both brands and compare, but another user posted a side by side pic and the Platypus ones look as though they will fit in tight spaces better, so I think we will just stick with these. These seriously eliminated the part about braces I was most dreading - asking my kid to floss. (Well, the part aside from the cost, I mean...)

Recommended & worth every penny!

My daughter was taking at least 15 minutes just to floss her teeth every night after getting braces. We got these for her and she was so excited and has not been disappointed. They work great, and they do not break as other reviewers have noted. The floss has to pass through tight spaces (thus the need for braces). She has been using them for about 2 weeks and not a single flosser has broken yet. I would highly recommend these to anyone with braces. They are worth it!

I hesitated buying these because they are a bit expensive but I am glad I did

My son just got braces 2 months ago. He likes to keep his teeth impeccably clean. He tried every kind of orthodontic flosser there is but complained they were all very difficult to use. His teeth are very crowded so it is hard to get floss between his brackets. I hesitated buying these because they are a bit expensive but I am glad I did! He loves these flossers and begs me for them! I wish they weren't so pricey but they worked well for us. It is very important to keep teeth clean while wearing braces and these definately make the job easier.

ACTUALLY work with braces!

Life with braces sucks. As you'd expect. But these make it just a little bit easier to keep everything clean while also not taking 15-20 min to clean your whole mouth like it does with the floss fish or any other floss threading methods. The flat side intending to go through under the wire ACTUALLY fits (except for the tightest teeth but then I just use the pick side for those so nbd). Sometimes the knot of floss on the side meant to go behind the wire gets slightly caught but it's likely just because I've pulled forward too much while it's on its way out. Would definitely recommend over the other flossing methods out there especially if you're an adult with braces and you just don't have the time to spend 20 min flossing (but really should be).

These work fine

My 13 year old just got braces in early July. His orthodontist recommended these. He likes them and he can quickly floss with them. He doesn't experience any discomfort while using them. Once he got used to them, flossing is a quick and easy task. Certainly quicker than having to manually get string floss around the brackets. Overall, he's satisfied with the product. The only ding I would give this is value. These are expensive relative to the price of other flossers. I know they are specially shaped, but that doesn't explain the price. Otherwise, these get a thumbs up from me.

Genius

My daughters gums are growing down over her brackets so the orthodontist told me to start flossing up near that space to prevent it. But threading floss through her wires was a nightmare. So I wet searching for something and found this. This is genius and perfect and works great on her tiny mouth!
