I bought this as a gift, and let me day this thing is great. It's heavy and not flimsy, but not overly heavy. It's well made and very slick so even a guy will use it, which is who I bought it for. He's words exactly...."It's Awesome" and he's not that easy to impress. So thanks Kitchen Aid for living up to your standards because I honestly bought it because it was a Kitchen Aid product. For the price....you get what you pay for so I'll be buying myself one too. To anyone shopping for a tenderizer this one fits nice in anyone's hands and well....it's worthy to be used on any kind of meat...

High quality meat hammer. This thing is all one piece and corrosion resistant. Kitchenaid knows how to make kitchen tools...

Best tenderizer I’ve ever had. Powerful and sturdy. This is the only one you will ever buy. This will last a lifetime

Just what I was looking for. A mallet that was smooth on one side and raised on the other! Nice heavy weight which works well on thicker cuts of meat!

One piece construction means the thing will never break. Previously, we had a meat tenderizer where the head was mounted as a separate piece from the handle. Eventually, the head broke off. We've had this for about 10 years now and love it. We recently bought one as a gift for a friend because we were so happy with it.

Sorry, but after getting this tool with just the right feel and heft I can't resist tenderizing and flattening every piece of meat I see and grilling it in under 5 minutes on my panini press grill. I even tenderized a filet of mahi mahi the other day and it was great!

Just the right weight and feel to make chicken cutlets. I was using my wife's granite rolling pin, but she didn't care for that. So I shopped and found this. It's perfect.

The last time my mother tenderized meat, she used a can of peas. She completely destroyed that can. I decided the right move was to get her a tenderizer for Christmas. The first time she used it, she beat the $%^& out of that chicken. It worked so well, that meat was unrecognizable. I think it may have a learning curve... ha!

wow, I should have bought it a lot earlier. I can make easily "schnitzel" by pounding the meat the perfect thickness; and on top, I really love that it easy very easy too clean: simply hold it under warm/hot water and wipe it with a bit mild soap and rinse. Love it

Great product just as advertised. My kid now 20 is learning to cook and needed to pound some meat and never even knew that was the thing. I surprise the kids with one of these is been nothing but great dinners ever since. High-quality easy to clean and has a very good feel to it it's not cheap
