Does more than just coffee
I bought this item a few weeks ago and wanted to give it at least a dozen uses before reviewing. That being said, I can't yet say that this item stands the test of time. On top of that, I use this not to grind up coffee beans, but for other things. I bought this item to make powders, such as dried pepper powders, dried mushroom powders and the like. PROS: given that I'm using this for purposes not intended by the manufacturer, it's doing a good job. I like how fine my end product is. It's cheap! Even if it worked 75% as good as it does, I would say this is a steal. I love how the grinder compartment comes apart, and despite recommendations against, I still hand wash the detachable parts and let air dry for a good day. I still hand clean the main part with a dry or very light damp paper, sit it upside down and and let it dry a good day. No problems here, but again, the manufacturer (and pretty much everyone else) advises against this. I'm just lazy, and the subsequent powder gets everywhere, which leads me to the cons. CONS: this thing does a great job grinding up stuff, but it often results in a powdery smoke afterwards, which often escapes while grinding. This smoke gets everywhere including into the mechanics of the grinder. I'm hoping this doesn't cause issues down the road. Additionally, if you're like me and using this for other than coffee purposes, get a cheap face mask, especially when grinding hot peppers. The mechanism that spins the grinding blades doesn't always fit snugly and when I was first using this, it gave off a plastic burn smell. It's gone away after 6 uses or so, but it was initially concerning. That's the big summation. Despite the few issues, this item warrants a 5 star, if nothing else, because it does more than just expected and is very cost effective. If this lasts 6 months with my usage (grinding all sorts of dried things 2 times a week) then I will have made out.

Great little grinder, Great price!
This is perfect for fine grinding and I like that the whole cup removes & can be washed out. I must not have read the description right, as I thought it had a "retractable" cord - when it actually just winds around the bottom - but you pull the bottom down to unwind it and rewind it, thus most of the cord is concealed when not in use. It turns flax seed into dust in seconds (perfect for making Gundry's cinnamon/flaxseed muffin in a mug)! A great little grinder at a great price! Highly recommend!

Great for the price.
I bought this grinder mainly for spices. It does that job extremely well and the clean up afterwards is nice and quick. If you are looking for a quaility product that doesn't break the bank, this is it.

Perfect!
The cord length is perfect and I love that it can be folded up so easily. I wish all appliances had this function. The way I use this is to put a small amount of beans in at a time. Quick bursts/pulses to blend it. Repeat. It blends better with less beans and with the short quick bursts rather than holding it down. I love using this. It’s allowed me to grind my coffee every single morning. So fresh! Very easy to clean and store. Can’t beat it, especially for the price.

Very impressed!!!
I love this grinder! I always try and research when I'm interested in an item, and this grinder was no exception. I picked it because the cup at the top of the grinder comes out, making it so much easier to clean than other grinders that are 1 piece! What I didn't realize was that you can wind the cord up and store it inside the pullout base. I love this feature because I want it to sit on the counter next to my coffee machine but I didn't want another long cord making my counter look messy. You only have to pull out as much as it takes to reach the wall and the rest stays raveled inside the grinder! So genius!!! It also grinds up chia seeds easily and it's not terribly noisy which is another plus. Great little gadget!

Works Great, Easy Clean-up
I have a small area at the end of my kitchen countertop that I've made into a sort of mini coffee bar, with a lazy susan holding all of my coffee supplies. This very compact little grinder is the perfect size for this. Even the cord wraps around a little space at the bottom and then is covered by pushing up on the bottom, so only the end hangs out while not in use. The blades work great, and it only takes seconds to grind enough coffee for about 8-10 cups. That's about the max amount of beans you can fit at one time. A quick clean up is very easy with just a damp paper towel, but the clear middle blade section and the clear dome top both separate easily to clean more thoroughly. This is my first coffee grinder and I love it. I plan to buy a couple more for family members as gifts. The coffee just tastes so much fresher and better. (Measure a little more fresh-ground coffee out than you would with the pre-ground, as fresh-ground doesn't have all the fillers, and comes out sort of 'fluffier', or less dense than the pre-ground).

Good grinder and easy to clean
I have used this grinder for several months now. At first, some grounds would spill into body below the cup. However after using it awhile I no longer have the issue. The cup fits nicely in the grinder with just a delicate twist until it's locked in place. It is not heavy or noisy and definitely not a shrill or unpleasant sound. You do have to hold down the button, but I hold the grinder in both hands and use my thumb - not a problem if you have worries about pressing a button. It takes 20 seconds to a fine grind with 2 Tb coffee beans. It is easy to clean as you only have to wipe out the cup, then drop it back into the grinder and give it the slight twist. Overall it's a very good value and I'm happy with it. My former Hamilton Beach grinder lasted for years with daily use, so I looked for another HB.

Compact, Easy to Use & Clean, Consistent Grinder
I have always played with idea of getting a grinder. I am by no means a coffee snob nor connoisseur. I put more stock in the origin of coffee, and I have a varied taste, liking mild/light to robust/dark roasts. My husband and I both drink coffee most days, but I was hesitant to buy a grinder due to the extra time if would take, and the inconvenience of using a grinder. Those concerns are now gone. I accidentally purchased a bag of coffee beans, and it was the push we needed. I didn’t want to get a large grinder or one with many parts or steps for use. I saw this grinder, and the reviews and specifications lined up with what we were looking for. Upon arrival, I was impressed with the compact size - about the size of a 20 oz. thermal coffee cup. We really like that the cord can be shortened, and most of it stored within the unit. There is no prep work required for use. Just twist the main compartment back in, add the beans, and place the lid on. The grinder cup works as a measuring cup as well! Lastly, the ease of cleaning the grinder is a lovely feature. Some soap and water on a sponge or cloth can be used on the main cup (which includes the blade) and the lid. That’s it. It doesn’t get that dirty anyway, but still, it’s a positive feature. Now for the grinding... The instructions explain that the amount of time that you grind determines the coarseness of the grounds. At most, I believe a user would hold the grind/power button for 20 seconds for very fine grounds. My husband and I find that a few seconds is all it takes of us to get a medium ground consistency - about that of a typical bag of ground coffee. I have also found that the grind is very consistent. I may find the occasional ground that is slightly larger than the rest, but on the whole, each batch is consistent in size throughout. After grinding, I simply pop off the lid, untwist the cup and pour the grinds into the filter. The main cup holds enough beans/grounds for us to make 4 cups of strong coffee at the pre-measured line 6. We haven’t needed to make more than that, but there is still room left to add more beans (up to line 12). The use of this grinder adds maybe 3 minutes to my morning routine total, including cleanup, and adds lots of flavor and opportunity, as some local stores and brands only sell whole beans. I highly recommend this for those wanting to step into the grinder world.

I love the removable cup!
I admit, I waited way too long to upgrade my grinder because my old one was still puttering along. I looked through pages of affordable coffee grinders on Amazon until I settled on this one, and the main selling point was the removable cup. Oh my, what a joy it is now to use my coffee beans in the mornings because clean up is a breeze! The noise level is also way lower than my old grinder. I found the grind to be even. When I am done, I simply lift up the cup and can wash it out easily, without worrying about getting the electrical components wet. The grinder also lifts up at the bottom to have a space to wind up most of the cord. I am really happy with my purchase. I should have done it a lot sooner!

Really nice little coffee grinder
I made a mistake and bought a bag of whole bean coffee, not ground, on Amazon. It cost me around $10. Instead of tossing the bag and buying another bag that was ground, I decided to get this grinder. It was only a couple dollars more than another bag of coffee and I hate waste. Also, I would now have a coffee grinder. This grinder did a really nice job on it's first use. If you grind for the full 20 sec. you can grind the beans very finely. I could not notice a difference from the other bag of coffee I had that came already ground. The lid works as a cup to hold the ground coffee, which is nice. Also, the blade is removable from the base so you can perfectly clean it under water. Another nice feature is that the cord has a place to be wrapped around. It's a great little grinder with great design, and great price.
