LOVE this pan
LOVE this pan. We read the directions and are doing exactly as instructed: warm pan before putting food in, use oil or butter to coat pan before putting food in it, let pan completely cool before cleaning, only use a soft sponge or plastic type sponge (nothing abrasive). It cooks evenly and completely. I would highly recommend this pan. But make sure you read the instructions before using and follow them exactly.

Really Big!
This was larger than I expected, and it's heavy, too. At first, I was thinking that it was just too much for me to handle, but after using it for awhile, I've decided I love this pan. It's so big, that I can fit everything into it without crowding, and that totally changes they way things cook. Everything comes out so good! I'm finally getting a good sear on stuff, and stir-fry comes out fried, and not steamed. Stuff doesn't stick, either...pierogies, potstickers...no sticking. I clean it up with Barkeeper's Friend. Works like a charm.

My Dream Cookware
I got rid of all my old Teflon lined pots and pans and bought a few choice pieces from All Clad. Couldn't be happier. They are solid and heavy. I have found they cook well on my gas cook top and clean up is easy. Run warm water with a little soap in it after you use it and let it soak. Everything comes out easily. If I need to polish it back I use the Bartenders Friend and a light scrub. It is back shining like new. I can tell this and the other pieces will be the last cookware I ever need to buy. They are pricey for sure. But this is a case of "you get what you pay for"! Amazon has better prices on it too.

Very Happy
This pot is the perfect size for 1-2 people. It is very well made. It took a while to heat up on low heat but once it did, it worked great. It is easy to clean and left no film on the finish. Unlike the D3 fry pan, which no matter what I use, a film remains. This pot and steamer are definitely a keeper!

Great heavy gauge D5 two-person serving Steamer!
Finally, I can take away the ancient steamer that my wife used that I receive from my mom decades ago! The bottom is especially easy to scrub with either a copper or stainless (Brillo) thingy, if the are either hard water stains, or other gunk. Due to the multi-clad nature it is unfortunately more heavy, but this steamer will last forever. I am sure that I can scrub away for years without any damage. The basket part is somewhat harder to clean. The trick to cleaning it is to immerse it in a much large soapy water filled container in your sink & and scrub away with your scrubby of choice. The bottom can be used for all kinds of cooking for 1-2 people. Such as browning & then making a small soup. I also bought the same bottom with a lid & ladle at the same time on Amazon. Buying All-Clad pieces one by one, rather than getting a set, really enables you to get a smallish custom set that is just big enough for two people. They can also double as great weapons! Getting smaller pieces really cuts down on excess weight & is more handicapped friendly. I have a fused spine & my wife is recovering from Cancer surgery & should not lift more than ten pounds for now. The other cheaper Steamer All-Clad (which I also bought & sits in the garage to be gifted to my Chinese in-laws) E8979064AMZ 2-Tier Steamer is way too large for us, but will be great for multi-level Chinese steaming! We also have a cheapo white non-stick set from Amazon for other types of cooking. BTW- After tons of research, it is not worth spending more on cookware. All-clad's copper line is over-priced. I also have a very heavy expensive French copper set, that is way too heavy & stick to food like crazy glue.

Great pan!
Love love love my all clad pans! Yes, they are expensive but you will never have to buy anything to replace it! This pan is perfect for cooking big meals for my family. Pretty easy to clean, goes in the dishwasher most of the time. Well worth the money.

Excellent product!
I bought this item used. When I looked at the bottom pan, i immediately saw why the item had been returned to Amazon. There were ugly white spots and bluish discoloration. I took a tablespoon of vinegar, swirled it around and it now looks brand new. The steamer insert also fits the 2-handled soup pot. I love everything about this pan!

All Clad is amazing!
A friend, who is an amazing cook introduced me the incomparable All Clad products. I had , of course, heard of them but never realized the quality and the difference they can make in cooking. I purchased the 5 quart pan with lid, fell in love with it and bought one for my daughter, who loves it too. It's beautiful and functional. Food cooks so evenly in it. I just love it! Yes, it's a little pricey but considering it's almost the only pan you need , it's totally worth it. Will by more for home and for my daughter!

Amazing Pans
I love my All-Clad 3-ply pans. They are the stainless but they clean up like a nonstick pan. I am pleasantly surprised that nothing sticks. I made scrambled eggs this morning. Let the pan soak in hot water for 10 minutes and wiped clean. They truly are amazing pans.
