I bought this unit back in 2013. I have only used water in it. I carried it to school with me every day as I had a problem with drinking sodas all the time and there was rarely any decent water around. I upgraded to the wide mouth straw cap a year later. I have left water in it and put it in a hot car all day for almost 2 months one time. As of today, there are no rust spots and barely any dents. Its got scuffs, its got scratches, but none of that matters. The vacuum seal holds like a champ! I just filled it with hit water from a coffee maker to the brim. Not a single part of the outside was even remotely warm. The only complaint I have is with the straw cap itself. It developed mold on the bite lip as the container isn't leak proof. But here is where the 5 star shines through: customer service. Since everything is lifetime guaranteed, they replaced it without a hitch. Didn't even have to pay for shipping! They say this is the same for the growler itself, so everyone with a 4 star or below rating complaining about the product needs to talk with customer support. I went through their online site and filled out a form and a week later I had a brand new straw lid with a different plastic piece. The 64 oz is kind of bulky, but if you're looking to keep things hot/cold, i highly recommend this. Try to catch it on sale because as of this posting it seems its at $65 when I got it for $30.

i've had this for a year now and i use it every day. originally i purchased the 1 liter but found that it didn't hold enough water to make it through the work day so i purchased the 64 oz. i can leave it in my car in the blistering heat of a mississippi summer day and after work it will still be the same temp as when i filled it. a week after i got it i went to the beach and really gave it a good testing. i would fill it with water and put some ice in it before heading to the beach. then i would put it outside of the shade of the umbrella in the direct sunlight. it would still have ice while everyone else's water bottle (that was in the shade) would be too hot to drink. they also take a good beating. i have dropped it more times than i can remember, but it still holds the temp even if it is dented and a bit deformed. i can't really say anything about the lid that comes with it because on all my bottles i use the straw lid. i love it. upon opening the straw after a hot day in the car it doesn't spit up water from the pressure buildup like others can. so far i own the 64 oz, 32 oz, and a few of the pint mugs. i take the 64 oz to work while i use the 32 oz for home use since it is easier to use with one hand.

Stop the presses and buy ! I purchased a 21oz hydroflask in 2013, after a recommendation from a Disney travel blog. It was literally everything the company advertises (keeps water cold for 24 hours, which I tested in the Deep South, in July, leaving my bottle on the dash of my black car.. Doesn't sweat like other bottles.. Keeps hot beverages hot ! I actually recommend the travel mug-looking one for coffee/hot chocolate). I bought this 64oz in January 2014 to help get my daily water in. I finish 2 per day. When full, it's about 6 pounds, and I wouldn't trust holding the plastic loop to carry. Practice your running football hold ! My lid had slipped off before due to the weight of the bottle. In about 8 months, my lid started cracking in the loop, but it's covered under the lifetime warranty (you'll have to go to the hydroflask website itself for a replacement). I can't say enough great things about hydroflask, and have had family purchase 5 bottles after seeing mine. The price hurts a bit, but if you calculate in the lifetime warranty, the features, and how many cheap bottles you go through, worth every penny.

I've become a Hydro Flask nerd. I have several of their products, including the great travel mug, beer "glasses" and this growler. I invested in the growler based on my experience with the travel mug and beer cups: they keep things cold or hot incredibly well. My local grocery has a growler filling station that flushes the bottle with nitrogen and dispenses the measured amount. Unfortunately, this bottle doesn't fit, so no nitrogen flush, and the clerk has to hold it under the regular tap. This takes longer because he has to let the head settle or drain it off several times. He didn't mind, but he did comment that it's inconvenient. I took my first growler on a road trip, so I didn't get around to trying the beer for about four hours. After riding in the trunk of my car all that time it was still delightfully cool. I'm scrupulous about keeping screw caps tight on carbonated beverages. The beer stayed fresh enough to produce a head when poured for the next couple of days.

I'm rarely impressed by the things I buy online. I usually hope to have it meet my expectations, so I have to set my bar kinda low. But holy cow, this water bottle is fantastic! I bought this as a replacement for a shattered Nalgene. 90% of the time I'm using a water bottle to keep me hydrated at work. The only way I could have ice cold all day was to fill the Nalgene halfway and freeze it. I know, I'm not supposed to do that. I did. Sometimes they expand, and they shatter. Cost of doing business, so I thought. Then a friend showed me the Hydro Flask. She showed me ice that had been in her water bottle for almost 48 hours. I was skeptical, thinking maybe she had trouble keeping track of time. I bought one anyway, and put just a few ice cubes in it before work. 10 hours later, this water is still frigid (though the ice has melted). If you want your beverage cold, for longer than you thought possible, get this.

This thing is awesome for beer. I really wanted a miir carafe with the hinged stopper top because i was convinced it had to hold the carbonation in better, and I'm still secretly hoping hydro flask will make one as an add on for this unit... but these desires are unfounded. This unit has no trouble keeping your beer fresh. The top keeps in the freshness with 0 problems. This this is just all kinds of awesome. I only use it for cold things, but its been to breweries, its been to the grand canyon, its been to the deserts of Ca, its been to the beach, and its been abused all along the way. But it doesn't complain. It just hangs out in the back no matter how long the car ride is waiting to make me happy. It just stands there looking all shiny, reflecting sun and keeping my beverage cold, waiting to make me happy. The only real negative about this unit is that a) you have to buy the hand holds/loops separate and b) no matter how many times i beg and plead and explain and stuff cash under its lid it can't seem to figure out how to refill itself with beer =(

This is the best water bottle ever! First of all, it is huge. And when full has a hefty weight to it. But it keeps your beverage cold (or hot!) all day long. Even when you forget it in you car in the hot Florida summer days the bottle may feel hot to the touch on the outside, but rest assured you have a nice, cold drink waiting for you inside the bottle. I use it everyday at work as a water bottle and also use it as a growler for Nitro Coffee, amazing! I'll even sneek in the occasional growler of beer at the local brewery. It's versatile, sleek, classic, and best of all, it does what it says it will.

These are rugged and will keep liquids cold for quite a long time. I bought the large one because I take a lot of long road trips and cold water (the mouth of this container is wide enough to put even the largest ice cubes in) and often, a roadside rest stop often calls for a swig of just plain cold water. You can also use the extra space in your cooler to put other foodstuffs in, like adult beverages and so forth. Being made of stainless steel, they will not absorb odors or tastes from whatever you carry in it. It rinses/washes easily - just don't put it in the dishwasher.

I keep this flask in my car filled with extra water as refill for my Eco Vessel Boulder Triple-Insulated Stainless Steel Water Bottle with Screw Cap flasks which I drink from in the Summer and even winter. The water stays pretty cold for days in summer and is protected from freezing in the winter. This thing really insulates - both ways. I keep it in an insulated bag in the car and the water stays cold for quite a few days. It is made of a really good stainless steel material too. My water remains tasting very fresh for quite a long period of time - even weeks later. Hands down this is the best thermos I have ever owned (or even saw). I remembered my dad's old glass thermos's he used to take to work with him and decided I wanted one at least as good. I found that this one is way better! I'm sure Pop will be jealous of mine. :-)

Best growler on the market. Very tough metal construction. Lid seals well and beer stays really cold. Easy to fill and wash. Can also be used for coffee for the morning after (it miraculously knows when to stay hot or cold). A guy name Mark Craig is even trying to make a CO2 pressurizing and dispensing lid that will fit it on Kickstarter called Trailkeg (I'm not promoting this but it looks like a cool gadget). Another great thing about this growler is Hydroflask will donate 5% of the cost to a charity. All you have to do is go to their website and put in the serial number then select the charity of your choosing. Pretty cool thing for a company to do.
