5 stars
We had an appointment with a pediatric PT due to head development for our 5 month old. The therapist had placed differnt toys in a circle on a tumbling mat to see what our bany might gravitate too. Once our baby was put down, he instantly went for this toy. He spent the entire evaluation holding and engaged with it. He barely noticed the neck and shoulders exercises being done, because he was so enamored by this rattle. The appointment went great, and we placed the amazon order for this toy that night. He still goes directly for this toy regularly. Feel free to click the "helpful" button so I know if my review was beneficial. Not just for babies
Initially we bought this toy for our 10 month old because it was a favorite at the children's museum. Balls are hits in general. This one stands out though compared to other balls or even other Oballs. The open sides make it easy to grip. But it's the rain stick in the middle that really makes this toy special. It makes a delightful rattling sound when rolling or shaken. It's loud enough to delight the child while quiet enough to not annoy people who dislike noise. As with any rain stick turning this rain stick ball upside down just to watch the beads cascade adds yet another entertaining element. Even our almost 5-year-old enjoys playing with it. Overall the ball is well worth the price. Highly recommend!

GREAT TOY
Instantly drew the attention of my 4-month-old niece. She enjoyed rolling it around her on the floor. The large holes made it easy for her to pick up and shake with her tiny hands. Her 5-year-old sister and 10-year-old brother also took an interest in it. I spent several days with the family and noticed that even the adults (including myself) were attracted to it. At nearly all times, somebody was holding it, turning it over and over to hear the gentle "rainfall". There was something soothing about the sound that seemed to appeal to all ages.

Easy for baby to grab!
My twin grandsons love the Oball Rollin' Rainstick! I gave it to them when they were 5 months old and neither one had any problems grabbing onto the ball and holding it. The color is nice and bright and easy for them to track when the other twin is playing with it! They've had this ball over 2 months and still gravitate towards it and I have a feeling that they will continue to enjoy this ball for quite some time to come. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Love the way this sounds.
It sounds so relaxing, a nice change from the typical rattle/toy. It's a little big for a first rattle. They make smaller balls, with regular sounding rattles, that I like as a first rattle/toy better. When your child is a bit more coordinated, this is nice. Think 5-8 months over 1-4, for a minimum age. It was just too big & clunky for a newborn in my opinion, although my newborn was mesmerized by the balls dropping down & the sound when I turned the ball over. Better for an older baby and toddler, versus some oballs other options that I love for wee ones. .

Colorful ball. Good to develop dexterity. Not fir tiny babies but they’ll grow into it.
Baby amuser. This is a large size. Bought for a 5 month old 20 lb baby. The colors are bright and the center tube with cascading rattles will catch babies attention. Little fingers can easily grasp this ball anywhere. It’s good to use fir rolling games with babies who can sit up. It’s not so heavy that an large baby can’t pick it up and wave it around while lying on their back. Easy to grasp and pass from hand to hand. Barefoot babies like to use their toes to grab it too.

My baby loves this toy
My 5 month old loves this toy. His grip on it has been improving as he is maturing but this was one of the first toys that he was able to hold with his limited ability at the time I got this for him and that’s because it’s so easy to grab it. The sound keep his attention and I’m not sure if he can see the little balls moving on the center but he seems to be looking at them when I move them around. They cascade down which is kind of cool. I liked this toy so much I gifted one to a friend who has a baby the same age as mine.

Big fun
Our 6 month old enjoys the ball. It’s not soft all around due to the rattle built in the center. But there middle room for your little biter. It rolls so puts up a good chase for our crawler

Grab and chew
I got this because I wanted my LO to practice "catching". I wanted to have something for her to reach for and grasp it. Well.. this little toy allows my LO to grab with her little hands a use of the holes. It is a soft plastic so it bends a little. She likes to chew on it, which is BPA free.. so all in all win win. LO is 4 months Oh and it's colorful and grasp the attention of LO. Makes rattle sounds too :)

One of my son's favorites! Great little toy!
This is one of my son's top 5 favorite toys for the past few months. He absolutely loves it, and likes to play with it on his own or have someone shake it for him. We are fans of Oball in general but this is my favorite out of what he has (we also love the football and the car). He gets so excited whenever we take it out. For the price and considering that it's non-musical and easily portable, I think this is a must have.
