Works and smells great :)

Used it today and I'm happy with the results. O lathered and rinsed 3 times since I use a lot of products often. It got the residue on my scalp off so I don't have flaking any more. Thought it was dandruff or something but it wasn't. While I was in the shower I could feel the squiky cleaniness of my hair. It does leave it feeling kinda rough feeling compared to my regular shampoo, but that's because I didn't use anything else. I have mixed enthic type hair and it gave my hair a lot more volume.

Good product for most

I first used this product about 20yrs ago. Lately my hair had felt kind of weighed down. I use high end shampoo/conditioner (I’m a licensed professional). I didn’t notice too much of a difference, so clearly build up wasn’t my issue. That said, if you use grocery store product lines, this is the addition you’ll need weekly to keep your hair care routine spot on. Those products tend to be high in wax which is what gives that appearance of shine. This will strip that wax out, so use extra conditioner as to avoid tangling.

Amazing clarifying shampoo!

I bought this because of the low price but it is AMAZING! It smells heavenly, it clarifies my scalp thoroughly and definitely gets rid of build up. I use it once every two weeks. You HAVE to follow up with a very moisturizing deep conditioner, let it sit for a while then comb through your hair. It's a new staple for me.

Great Job!

This does a great job getting the build-up out of my hair. I have flat, straight oily hair naturally; it gets very stringy very quickly. Also, I think there are some minerals resulting in hardness in my water that is causing build-up in my hair. I don't use any hair products other than shampoo and conditioner, so I don't have an issue with mousse build-up or anything, so I can't attest to if this works on that. I have been using this once a week for over a month now. It always leave my hair very clean looking. My sister bought some too after I started using it. She has much more volume in her hair, and she does use hair products. She says it leaves her hair clean and bouncy after her weekly use. However, I did get my hair dyed this week. My stylist reviewed the product and ingredients and said not to use it anymore unless I wanted all the color to leave quickly.

Excellent to reset your hair regardless of hair type

I love this shampoo as for once-a-month use to remove excess products such as leave-on conditioners etc. I have dry, curly hair and need very moisturizing conditioners and leave-on products, but those can build up over time (even washing hair three times a week). This anti-residue shampoo resets the air and makes it feel so light and clean. I've been using it for over two decades. Unfortunately it's really hard to find this in mortar-and-brick stores nowadays for some strange reason (and I live in a big-ish city) so I'm happy to find it on Amazon at a great price.

I've been using it for a long time

I have very greasy hair with some occasional dandruff problem. I read that using a clarifying shampoo once a week can help with the problem. I've been using this shampoo once or twice every month for more than two years. To be honest my hair is still greasy and I still have occasional dandruff problem, but my hair does feel nice, fresh, and light every time after using this shampoo. I like the scent of this shampoo too. It smells nice without being overly strong. My hair does feel a little dry after using this shampoo, but considering that all residue is removed it is kind of expected. As someone with greasy hair it is actually nice to feel dry hair once in a while. If your hair is dry already you should probably use it less frequent.

Removes buildup of hair products

Great product! This shampoo removed months/years of product build-up in my hair that I didn't even know I had. After just one wash, my hair felt lighter, finer, more voluminous, and I needed less styling products to achieve the same results. But be careful not to use this too often as it can dry out your hair. I have long, dark fine hair and I use this about once every 2 weeks, or once every 4-5 washes.

Really works!

This stuff takes out the chlorine from swimming in pools. My husband swims at a gym several times a week and the chlorine changed the texture of his hair - it was stiff and coarse, and felt like it was permanently coated with hairspray. Even when he took a break from swimming for a couple of weeks and washed his hair daily with ordinary shampoo, the "coating" remained. His barber told him chlorine does that to hair and he didn't seem to think there was anything that could be done about it. I gave my husband a bottle of Neutrogena anti-residue shampoo, and after a few washings, his hair was back to being soft and fluffy.

Great weekly shampoo

I absolutely love this shampoo. I have thick but fine, curly hair. I get a lot of build up because of the products I use to define my curls and control frizz. Curly hair is very dry so shampooing daily is a no-no. This shampoo is perfect because I can use it on my roots once (sometimes twice) a week to cut down any build up. I highly recommend for anyone who uses a lot of products but isn't able to shampoo often. The scent is VERY strong. I don't mind it much anymore but it does linger all day. If you're prone to headaches from strong scents, this may not be for you.

Great shampoo but it can be a bit drying

Bought this to make a vitamin C hair mask* to fade my hair color so I could do a color correction on it after it came out too dark for my liking. As with most clarifying shampoos, I found it to be drying so I did a conditioning mask on my hair afterward because conditioner itself didn't feel like enough. It claims to be gentle on color-treated hair but I wouldn't use it unless I was actively trying to fade the color or dry it out. *I mixed a small amount of the shampoo with about 7500mg of crushed vitamin C tablets until it formed a paste and applied it to wet hair for an hour and washed + conditioned like normal to lighten my hair by several shades.
