Does the job

Bought for my parents who live in Assisted Living. For some reason, the toilets there are the low ones, which make no sense. This lasted about 3 years before we had to replace it due to a cracking issue. The problem is that there is a cleaning issue underneath between this and the toilet. It is anchored with bolts and it cannot be removed to clean underneath. So when it was removed and was replaced, nasty!! Very hard to remove the bolts, well just about impossible. Needed to be cut off. So regular cleaning is impossible. Otherwise, great product.

Working for her

It was a little difficult to install but we eventually got it. This, of course, goes UNDER the seat that is already attached. My elderly aunt is using this and she doesn't like the handles attached. We are hoping she gets used to that - rather than try to grab a handle that isn't there (we can't attach one to the wall). sigh.

Glad I took the chance.

I was hesitant to purchase this since I read a few reviews that stated this shifts around. I'll be honest, I think people might not be purchasing the right one for their bowl because once installed it's pretty solid. It's been a lifesaver for my husband after having back surgery and knee issues. So definitely recommend but make sure you get the one that will actually fit your specific toilet.

Better than the hospital

I had back surgery and had a great deal of trouble using the toilet in the hospital because there was just one grab bar on the side wall so I needed assistance on the other side. I didn't know how I would manage at home but my daughter bought this seat and easily installed it. What a blessing it was. Easy to get up and down unassisted, so much better than in the hospital. I hope this review for the Carex Toile Seat helps someone else like it helped me..

Great purchase

Works great for 'easy sitting' after back surgery. My only complaint was that I've noticed it's moved around a little after two months use - probably due to the apartment toilet I have. Once removed, I'm not sure the old snaps that go over the bolts holding the toilet seat it will work but not going to worry about it. It's nice that the old toilet seat cover can be shut right over the top of this.

raised toilet seat

I bought it to make getting up off the toilet easier. It does tend to slide a little bit, but that might make it easier to clean. I bought some Johnny mops to clean the toilet with so I put on some Works and wipe off the toilet underneath after sliding it over to the side a little and then to the other side.

Perfect Height

I have so many leg and muscled issues and sitting on the lower style toilet really causes me a lot of pain. This height is perfect. The only problem that was encountered is that the handles make it difficult to clean your tooshie. So, I simply removed the handles!

Works great

This has been a lifesaver. Just had back surgery so needed extra help getting up and down. This is just the right height and the bars on either side help me get up. I am not a very large person so works well for me, but if very big probably would be too small for you.

Safe and strong

I bought this for my mother and it has worked great. She had a portable one with legs that went over the toilet seat and her feet would get caught up on the legs causing a fall hazard. This product is much safer.
