Nice sharp little tools.

Exactly as advertised, good quality, and each one is different from the others. Some are quite sharp, and the ones that do have caps look to be temporary for packaging, so I would plan on tossing the lids and keep them in something sturdy they won't poke through. (I foolishly put the wrong cap on one that had a longer tip than its mate, and easily stabbed it right through the plastic cap and into my finger - in my book that makes them another great quality tool I really have no business playing with.) I'm not a sculpter, but I feel like I got a really great deal on these.

Perfect tool kit for beginners

Everything you need for sculpting clay. I purchased this for my 11 year old niece who has just recently began sculpting clay. The tools are somewhat sharp, so I would not suggest smaller kids using these, but for anyone just starting out sculpting clay these are perfect! I've included a picture of a clay sculpture my niece made, the tools are perfect for smaller details as you can see in the photo.

Nice wooden sculpting tools!

I got these tools to use with polymer clay. They are probably not the best choice for making miniatures since they were designed for larger scale projects using heavier sculpting clays, but even so, they are high quality tools and I find myself using the needle tools every time I work with polymer clay. The other tools not so much for my needs. I like the fact that they have protective plastic tops on the ends so you aren't constantly stabbing yourself with or damaging the end you aren't intending to use at the time, however the plastic caps are very cheaply made and do not stay on well. Overall I think these tools would be great for a sculptor and I am pleased even if I only use a few of them.

These are my first exposure to sculpting tools and I liked them.

This tool set is perfect for a beginner

This tool set is perfect for a beginner. I joined a Ceramics workshop at a community center and bought it on Amazon after the first session. Everyone at the center said if they had seen this before they bought individual tools at an Arts store. Much more expensive to buy them individually. Also the folding case keep all the tools together. I am glad I found this on Amazon and bought it at such a great price..

These were inexpensive and I was wondering what kind of quality I would get - but they are wonderful! They are just as good as any other company and the tool tips are ENDLESS! There's a tool for anything! The wood handles appear to have been finished as well so they are water resistant. I am a new potter but I am very pleased with this selection. I have bought other items but this set makes up most of what is needed.

It works wonderful on pumpkins too!!

I ordered this item to carve the kids' pumpkins. They were not sharp when they came in, but I sharpened the ones that I used, and it wasn't a problem. These tools worked like a charm! I have never carved detailed pumpkins before, and with these tools, they make my work look like a pro's work! I carved my kids' favorite characters on their pumpkins. I did not cut through the whole thickness of the pumpkin. I just just carved out the skin and shaved some of the pulp out both from the inside and out. The tool set also has a "shaver" that is normally used for small clay pots. I used that small shaver to shave the inside of the pumpkin to make it thinner so the light will shine through the carved out pattern. The result was absolutely amazing!

A great collection of tools for any sculpting and pottery artist.

I bought this to use with sculpting clay and various other sculpting products. I am very pleased with this set of tools and cannot wait to explore all the possibilities that I can create with this set. The set includes a variety of pieces for shaping, texturing and making unique lines on your work. I love that the pieces are double sided so you don't only get 11 tools you actually have more than that because each side has a different tool. The quality is great, the handles are smooth and comfortable and the blades are sturdy enough that if you do have to use any pressure they will not break.

Very Nice

My husband and I have just started using air dry clay and needed a good assortment of tools. This handy selection in its own carry case us perfect for keeping things tidy. The sculpting tools are good quality. I think they'll last us a while. Would recommend to anyone looking to try out sculpting. A lot of fun.

Good tool set

First sculpting tool set I have purchased. I will update on use, but these tools are nice for the price. Lots of variety and small bits to really get into nooks and crannies if you're looking to sculpt intricate pieces. I would recommend. Very excited to get started with these. Comes in a nice traveling case where it holds all the tools for easy storage and access.
