Purchased this product as a gift for my grandson. I find it amusing that I had one of these to play with as a child, now I am able to purchase one for my grandson to play with as well. He absolutely loves it. This is a great toy. I absolutely recommend it to anyone with a child. My grandson plays with it for hours on end and runs to show me what he has done. This is lots of fun for both of us.

GREAT PRODUCT
I just wanted to give it 5 stars and be done with the review, but they require a description on Amazon...so I'll post my mom's secret chocolate chip cookie recipe here instead (not so secret anymore, is it, Mom!?): 4 cubes butter, softened 2 heaping cups dark brown sugar (packed, then heap that shiz) ½ cups white sugar 2 tablespoons vanilla 1 ½ teaspoon salt 1 ½ teaspoons baking soda 3 eggs 6 cups flour 1 bag chocolate chips (semi-sweet or sweet) Mix BY HAND all ingredients, except flour and chips (mixing by hand makes them taste better, trust me). Then add flour and chips and stir BY HAND. Bake @ 350 for 9-11 minutes on ungreased cookie sheet. Enjoy the preciouses. Note: makes a buttload of cookies, so you might want to halve the recipe.

Easy to play with lots of fun
How many Mr. Potato Head have I owned over the years?? We love Mr. Potato Head! The interchangeable parts make play more interesting. The ‘butt’ compartment holds all the extra pieces not in use. My son is able to change out the pieces easily-I think he may be leaning towards Picasso-esque artistic ability. Will continue to purchase Mr. Potato Head and friends as long as we keep adding children to our family.

A Favorite Toy in Our House
I bought this Mr. Potato Head as a Christmas gift for my 2-year-old son, and it's been a big hit. It was only $5 when I bought it, and I can't think of many toys that are such a great deal. As with any Potato Head, the parts can be a little difficult to get in and out of the holes, but that also means the parts will stay put when they're placed. (It also means it's a toy that will "grow" with my child -- he'll be capable of playing with it in different ways as he ages.) My set came with all the pieces shown -- hat, eyes, ears, nose, mustache, teeth, feet/pants, hands, tongue, and glasses. Unlike what some other reviewers have experienced, our set is plenty sturdy and I can't imagine any of the pieces breaking. And fun fact: In the beginning, Mr. Potato Head toys used REAL potatoes (or other fruits or veggies) as the base. In 1964 Hasbro introduced the plastic potato.

Rediscovering a classic toy...
I never had a Mr. Potato Head as a child, so when Amazon had it as a deal before Christmas, I pounched at the opportunity to buy one for my 18-month-old twins. Surprisingly, I think I have played with it and enjoyed it more than the littlest ones. I love how all the parts fit inside the guy. Still a great, simple toy not requiring batteries :)

Affordable!
Bought Mr. Potato Head because he's the most affordable character in the Toy Story franchise... simply because he's independent from the movies (like Etch-a-sketch, Barbie and Ken, etc.); Playskool makes him and Disney and Pixar can't claim him (it's a good thing too, because that makes him continue to be affordable to the consumers). Anyway, saw someone trying to sell Mr. Potato Head for like $40... don't fall for the scam! Mr. Potato Head is still in production from Playskool and he's still under $10 even after all these years.

Classic toy at a good price
I love this classic toy but the nose had a smudge on it that I can’t get off. It was a gift for my daughter and at two years of age she doesn’t care much for the smudge but I use these toys in play-based speech therapy so I hope it holds up as well as the older model. My daughter enjoyed pulling off and put on the body parts. She labeled vocabulary while she played with this toy.

My toddler LOVES it! Favorite toy now!
Wow!!! I knew my son would love this, but I didn’t realize it would become his absolute favorite toy!!! He’s 2 and loves it! I’m thinking maybe I should’ve gotten the one with more parts... but he seems perfectly happy with what he has!

Classic fun
Purchased this classic toy for our daughter. I think the toy is recommended for something like 3 and up, but we let our 1 year old play with it, generally supervised. I don't want some little kid choking because of my review, so follow manufacturer recommendations. I dont think any of the parts were actually really small enough for her to swallow though. She first had fun with the opening in the back that you could take parts in and out of, but eventually kind of got the hang of it. It was really fun when she could figure out the proper holes to put the parts in rather than the potential freaks of nature you could design. We purchased the Mrs Potato head version. I comes with blonde hair instead of a wig and no mustache. The only negative thing I could say is that for teaching a tiny kid body parts, the tongue looks too much like the ears, and can't be used at the same time as the mouth, at least not in the proper mouth location. We would get the entire t hing properly assembled, and then the tongue would be left over. That was a bit confusing for my kid, but I'll admit that is a pretty dumb complaint.
