This stuff is great! Lather on a pea-sized amount after breastfeeding, or right before you hop in the shower. (It not only soothes, but protects.) It's baby-safe made from 100% sheep lanolin (a natural oil from their wool), doesn't have any unpleasant odor, and comes in convenient sized tubes for travel. It's especially helpful in the first week or so of breastfeeding because of baby learning to nurse properly and the syrupy colostrum that takes more work for baby to suck in the first place. I carry it with me everywhere!

I know that this is technically a nipple cream but hear me out... it works as a FANTASTIC lip balm. I've had this queued in my shopping cart on Amazon for some time now but when I saw Jonathan Van Ness recommend this product (Tan uses it as well?), I admit that I was pretty much sold and purchased it right away. I started using this product right about the same time when my skin had a major freak out as a result of testing out a new acne face wash. My skin got very dry and very bumpy (I normally have oily-combination skin). My cheeks were hit hard but my lips were probably the worst; they were slightly swollen but peeling badly and incredibly bumpy! I applied this product to my lips religiously day and night and within a few days, they were back to normal! The product is slightly greasy so now that my lips are healed, I save it for night time use only. Lanolin is actually one of the ingredients that are in the Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask so if you want a cheaper (and unscented) lip balm that sort of does the same thing, this nipple cream is the way to go!

This is great stuff. It is much thicker than Mandela, and you might like warming it between your fingers before use, but thinner than the less processed stuff. It doesn't smell like unprocessed lanolin, which is nice. My baby doesn't seem to mind the taste of it, and my nurses said I do not have to wash it off prior to feding_ it is baby safe, which puts it way above other lotions and creams. I also use it as a baby lotion, especially for her hands that she likes to put in her mouth. It makes a huge difference.

I am exclusively nursing my first baby and the first few weeks I very badly needed some relief for my chapped, bleeding, painful nipples. There doesn't seem to be a smell and the taste did not put my baby off of feeding at all. I used it for a couple of weeks while I healed and got a hang of properly latching my baby. Now my baby is 6 weeks and I don't use it every day like I did before when I first started nursing my baby but I do use it occasionally if I get lazy with properly latching my baby and my nipples get sore/bleed. This product works very well and I highly recommend it to anyone who needs to give their nipples some TLC.

My new lip moisturizer. My daughter thinks it's gross to use "nipple cream" on my lips but after my lips became resistant to Vaseline and would burn and peel I had to find a replacement coming across this salve. It works wonders and a little goes a long way.

OMG.... buy this immediately!!!! I have been having a terrible issue with my lips cracking due the dry winter air. I bought this based on the good reviews of this particular lanolin product. Who knew that a nipple cream could work for lips. True story, I am having work done on my teeth and while I was in the dentist chair the corner of my lips started to crack. The corners of my lips started to crack. The hygenist put some vaseline on the corners. It worked temporarly. but was not great and I cant stand that smell. Also, he gave me a RX and the price was $70. No thanks. I received this yesterday and immediately put it on. RELIEF! This morning my lips are so hydrated and soft. This is a must have for the dry winter heating in NY apartments. I will never be without this product. Buy it now.

This was recommended by a friend, but I didn't think it was going to be much different than Vaseline. Boy was I wrong. This stuff is AMAZING! It gives IMMEDIATE relief and lasts forever. The best part is that you don't need to use a lot at all! My nipples are so sore but as soon as I put this on it somehow goes away! The weird thing is that t doesn't just take away the surface pain it clears some of the "Aching" too. I'm so happy with this! If you find my review helpful please mark it so. Thank you!!

Without this product, I would surely have gone crazy. Pure coconut oil works really well for keeping nipples from getting dry and cracked, but when you need to use the big guns, this product is great. I have been dealing with a baby with some serious nursing issues the past four months, and this product has been a lifesaver. The lanolin is super thick and incredibly moisturizing. Just a small dab warmed up on the finger and gently applied does the trick after a nursing session. I use it every time I nurse during the day, and use the Lansinoh Soothies with coconut oil at night, and I have avoided getting any cracks or bleeding. This is definitely a must have for nursing mothers, and I love that it is one simple ingredient, and safe for baby, no need to wash before feeding.

In all transparency, I am not a nursing mother but a chapped lip sufferer. I have very dry, peeling and easily cracked chapped lips. I am on Isotretinoin (commonly known as Accutane or Claravis) and was using vaseline as recommended by my dermatologist. Saw on several accutane forums that people were recommending using 100% lanolin/nipple cream for lips instead. I’ve been on accutane for 2 months and used both vaseline and this product and let me say that this product works so much better than vaseline. Vaseline creates a good barrier on top of the lips but lanolin goes a step further and works to heal the skin underneath while leaving a protective barrier on the skin. I’ve gone as far as putting it on my face at night to help moisturize and heal it. I just purchased my second tube and there’s a good chance that even after I’m off accutane, I’ll be using this product for my lips because it’s just so effective. One note: while it’s not greasy in a traditional sense, I was being lazy one day and wiped the excess from my finger onto a pair of darkish gray yoga pants. It left what looked like a grease stain on them even after they were washed (but I had forgotten and didn’t treat the pants for the mark before washing). So just be cautious to make sure that it doesn’t wipe off on any material/fabrics.

I’ve used every chapstick imaginable. Burts bees, carmex, blistex, ChapStick, aquaphor, baby lips, nothing worked. Every single day my lips were horribly dry, peeling, and I had a habit of chewing the dead skin off, which would result in even more dead skin, cracks, and rawness. This was an everyday cycle that I’ve had for years. All it took was two days of using this stuff, and I don’t have any more dead skin on my lips, and they look smooth. When I put it on at night and wake up in the morning, I can still feel a layer on my lips. This is amazing and I’m glad I finally found a solution.
