I love this one :) Ive had many hand blenders and this one by far is the best one I have owned. Its very powerful and I've made everything from smoothies ( without ice) to creaming my cauliflower for " mashed potatoes" and does it all in seconds on just the low speed :)

Purpose for purchase: I have no space in my teeny kitchen for a blender, and my Magic Bullet gloriously failed after minimal usage. Pros: 1) The price can't be beat! 2) The ease of use. It's got only two settings and requires very little set-up and cleaning it is a breeze. 3) Puréeing food is quite easy once you get the hang of it. Cons: 1) By design, food will splatter on you if you don't keep the bottom part (where the blade is and where the oblong holes are) under the liquid/food line. 2) I don't regret buying this, but there were a few moments when I wished it were cordless; the cord got in the way sometimes. Summary: I use it for puréeing foods, not for smoothies, crushing ice, or anything that a high-powered blender can do. As long as your needs for it are limited to puréeing or emulsifying soft foods (soups, vinaigrettes, mayonnaise, etc.), this KitcheAid hand blender works just fine.

I have used this blender every day for the last 6 months and it's been perfect for making Bulletproof Coffee! I also bought the 22oz Thermos Vacuum Sealed Mug and this fits perfectly inside of it so you can use your coffee mug as the container in which you blend your coffee in....making clean up even that much easier. If you make Bulletproof Coffee....this blender is AMAZING!

I use this once or twice a week just to make mayo: 1 egg room temp; 1 cup light olive oil; 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar; 1/2 tsp salt; 1/4 tsp ground mustard seed. Put all in the cup and mix. That's it!

I'm a kitchen gadget fiend and freely admit it. There are some items that I buy and then realize they aren't as useful as I thought they would be. Others becomes indispensable. This blender definitely falls in that category! I've had it for 8 years and it's still working as beautifully as it did on day one. This little guy is a great deal - great brand which has well made products and easy to use customer service if you ever need it. This is a good price on a stick/immersion blender, and it comes with a very handy container with lid to blend/store in. Although you can blend in any container it can be hard to find ones with nice tall sides to help prevent splatter. Mostly important if you're working with something hot or something that might stain! I use this most often to correct lumps in my frosting or white sauces. I also use it to quickly thicken up soups by partially blending them. It may not have the power of my Vitamix but it does an amazing job and it very quick/easy to pull out AND clean up. Nice long cord to reach all the way into the pot on the stove from wherever your outlet may be. My only complaint is that food can build up along the edge of the rubber seal on the inside of the metal area covering the base of the blades. I normally use a toothpick to clean along this edge and once in a while run a knife under the lip to make sure all the gunk gets cleaned out. Other than that I love everything about the design of this blender and wholeheartedly recommend it!

I recieved an old Cuisinart smart stick that I absolutly loved from my aunt when she replaced hers. It was 10+ years old when I got it but served me well for another 3 years. It finaly gave up so I went on a search for a new one. After seeing the terrible reviews on Cuisinart's new model due to the safety button I decided to try the Epica because reviews were great and it was cheep. Im sure it would have been a good blender, but the blades on the one I recieved had not been sharpened. I believe this was just a manufacturers defect but I did not want to deal with that again so I returned it and bought the Kitchen Aid. I love it!!! Kitchen Aid generally has good quality products and this one is no exception. It is well built and feels like good quality. The shaft is solid stainless steel and the blade is sharp, it has 2 speeds, though I doubt that I will ever need the higher speed as the low one is plenty for most jobs. At first I didn't like the button as it is set deeply into the handle and a bit hard to reach with my small hands, but now I see the reason for this. You can't accidently activate the blade when you grab the hadle. I did that all the time with my old one and it occasionaly resulted in food splattered everywhere. Not so with this one. My only complaint with it is the thing is really heavy. This is, of course, because they use quality parts and metal instead of plastic. It is only a problem if you have a lot to blend or, in my case, if you are short and have to hold it high in order to use in on a normal height countertop. I solve this but placing things on my dining table to make it easier for a shorty like me. Overall, a great product and one I would highly recommend. Note: I read many poor reviwes due to the shaft separating from the body durrig use which is why this was not the first one I ordered. Those reviews are ridiculous. There is a dash on the shaft that lines up with a dash on the body. It clicks firmply into place and, when properly aligned, wont be going anywhere. It is a bit stiff but this is what keeps it from coming undone. If people would just follow simple directions those reviws would not exsist and this product would have a higer rating.

Got this for a friend who kept borrowing mine because she liked it so much! I use mine for pureeing soups and making smoothies mostly, comes with a cup that has measurements on the side and a lid for the cup so you can take it with you or store it in the fridge. Very easy to clean as long as you don't let things get dried up on it, just put in a bowl/mug of soapy water and turn it on and the blades will clean right up.

This blender is a good value for the money. I got it on Amazon for about $30 and it works fine. I like that you can detatch the blade from the motor to clean it. Also, believe it or not, I like the fixed blade rather than some models I have had (like Bodum) that have interchangeable or removable blades. I really never had a reason to change the blade on it, and it just made one more thing that could come off and get lost. There are two speeds to work with. We used it at Thanksgiving to puree some cooked squash, and it worked great. A stick blender is not something you might use very often, but when you need one (like blending soup on the stovetop or pureeing vegetables in the pan) it's the best tool to get the job done.

I really love this. It's so easy to use and clean. I just pop the end on, turn it til it clicks, and press a button to use. When I'm done, it twists right off for easy cleaning. And I'm really lazy when it comes to cleaning, so when I say it's easy to clean, I mean it. Fair warning, for those of you who have never used one of these things before (like me) - don't get distracted and bring it to close to the surface though - it will make a mess! And like I said, I hate cleaning... so.... But I've learned my lesson and I love this thing. Originally purchased it to do a cheddar broccoli soup, but I've also used it on frozen solid fruit for a smoothie and it's powerful.

Here is some great fresh hummus made right in the jar you see here with the aid of my wonderful KitchenAid Immersion Blender. A great tool, no more long cleanup of the food processor, this cleaned up in 60 seconds. Great easy food!
