Great customer service

My 7 year old loves this globe! When er first received it, the base was missing from the box. I contacted the seller through amazon and had a whole new globe within 3 days! In time for an early Christmas! Great customer service! The globe itself is amazing. Beautiful colors and the kids love to light up there room with it. Recommend!

Exactly what I was looking for

This thing is amazing. I was looking for a globe that didn't have a cheap feel to it but with a light inside. If you don't want to spend hundreds of dollars that's actually pretty hard. I spent a lot of time looking closely at lots of different models online and ended up purchasing this one and I'm very happy with it. I bought this as a gift but I'm lucky to be able to see it all the time because I'm tempted to buy another one for myself. The light bulb gives off just the right amount of glow. With this as your only light source you can delicately illuminate a room in a beautiful soft light that is good for late nights and early mornings. This is such a good basic staple item for any home, especially homes with children or people who love to travel or for anyone who is curious about Earth and its geography.

Exceptional and Beautiful

This globe is so beautiful that pictures don't do it justice. I am finishing my master's degree and took it in to a class one night when I was giving a presentation (since we represent a large portion of the countries on this globe). Everyone loved it. The globe is up to date, the elevation on the globe is so well done, and when it is illuminated it is amazingly beautiful (and educational for those of us still figuring out where everyone is in relation to the United States). This is one of my best buys on Amazon ever!

Inspire a Love for all Nations!

This globe is amazing! As a homeschooling family, I wanted a nice globe that showed mountainous areas as well as political boundaries. This gives both! My 7 year old daughter has been obsessed with it, looking up every country we come across. It's definitely worth the money!

Glow is the way to go!

Not only is this globe informational, but it also functions as a beautiful accent piece to our living room. The glow of the globe is subtle like that of a night light. It illuminates the fine details and I prefer to view the globe with it lit. I was teetering between getting this one or just a regular non-glowing model. I am extremely satisfied with this purchase. Some reviews complained that the globe was not aligned correcting (top piece and bottom piece) but it is not an issue with my globe. It is not as sturdy as I pictured, but should not be a problem if you don't plan on throwing it around. The globe itself feels solid, but the base could use some bottom weight. I recommend this globe especially for its details.

Great for showing kids where their family lives across the world

I researched globes for a while before finding this one. I knew I had to have one that was updated and one that would look nice in my home. This one is both! And I LOVE that it is illuminated. It's really beautiful.

daughter loves it and it is a great size and lights up well enough for a light night if she wishes to use it that way. You can feel the mountains. She is happy with it. She needed a globe and the fact it lights up is a great bonus. Screw the base on and turn it on. Easy. Great size, others were smaller. Must check sizes when buying. This is 12 inches, perfect.

This globe is great. Note that it rotates but you cannot change the tilt of flip it upside down. This is not a defect - but but my error thinking it could when I ordered it. I still gave it 5 stars because the maps are excellent, it looks good and even better when the light is turned on. The picture in the add is deceptive advertising as you can't see the cord in the ad, but you canNOT hide the cord - it's going to show. If you understand the above - it's a great globe.

Beautifully illuminated 12 inch globe.

This is a good sized, 12 inch diameter, globe with mountainous relief and blue oceans. It is quite easy to read however when illuminated it is even easier to discern countries, towns, etc.... My 4 and 6 year old grandsons absolutely love it and use as a nightlight also. Comes with plug so no battery. Very happy with this purchase. Delivery was prompt.

For this price, is a great value. Not cheap or chintzy. Equator is slightly off but requires up close inspection to notice it. Level of geographic detail is great an provides for excellent conversation with my 2 children (6 and 8). The light is pretty bright, and while my son requires we have it on at bedtime as a nightlight, I turn it off after he falls asleep as it keep the room too light for sleeping.
