Perfect topper to a baby shower cake with the theme of "woodland critters". (We just used Mom, Dad, and baby.) Then afterwards, the package is given and little one will have to play with as she grows, in the meantime with the option of adding other items such as furniture, house, car, etc., so inventory so over time when she is ready to play with them, she will have quite a nice setup. This is an affordable way to start a collection.

My daughter loves them. She has several families. They are the perfect little, hand sized, well made, quiet toys that travel anywhere!

I got these for my friend's kid's 2nd birthday. They are cuter in person than online! All 4 of the "family" members have fully jointed arms, legs, and heads (unlike some of the sets in which a baby might be in perma-crawl position). They clothes are of higher quality than you might expect for a made-in-China child's toy. My little girl (2 years old) has another set and loves these, albeit after being taught to respect them a bit more than her other toys because they probably shouldn't be thrown across the room or crammed down the register grate. The little baby deer is so super cute. I would buy these again for my own kid.

Great quality and super cute family. Since the 'dad' deer doesn't have antlers (like how the cow family dad has horns), I like to joke that its my lesbian deer family. However, the girl deer have hearts in their ears and the dad dose not, so its not exactly true, but I still totally think the dad deer is dressed like Ellen Degeneres and will never stop pretending that they are an adorable little lesbian deer family.

Absolutely stunning. Our 4th set of calico critters and its everyone's favorite. The clothes are also very nice.

This Deer family is so cute, the Sandy Cat twins in the photo did not come with the deer family but all these critters are amazing. I'm starting to collect them and I love displaying them on my dresser. These toys are unlike most toys, they're very well made and have a lot of character in my opinion.

With 4 granddaughters close in age I purchased 4 different sets of Calico Critters. I think they’ll enjoy having their own unique set and playing with them in my old playhouse as they all visit this Christmas. Really looking forward to the fun!

I bought these for my 3 year old grandson because he's jealous of his sisters Critter collection and wanted his own. Oh, my goodness!!!! These are too cute! He has flipped out over them! They have been pulled in and out of his pants pockets, taken a bath with him and look none the worse so far. He loves them and now his sister is jealous!

I got them a while ago and keep putting off reviews because I just don't have a proper display set up yet (plus I'm very forgetful and tend to buy a bunch of things at once) but I love this family! They have warm brown fur and lovely blue outfits with a variety of styles that makes them individual while clearly being part of a group (something I love about Calico Critters in general.) I especially love the little heart shapes inside the ears of the ladies and I'm addicted to the CC babies so I appreciate the articulated baby who comes in this set. That also makes this family more unique! (I feel bad for the lack of recent boy children but enjoy the variety in the more recent families.) Btw I'm crossing my fingers that I get the deer baby from the upcoming Baby Shopping blind bags series. Then I'll have twins! :)

My 11 year old just renewed her love of these toys after playing with a freind. She has a set of Labrador and panda twins and the penguin triplets from years ago and needed a family to care for them. These are adorable and well done. Still appropriate for tween girls who enjoy imaginative play. Next is the cozy kitchen for some sweet miniature foods.
