This thing is awesome. Very sturdy, thick plastic. When sliding in the dividers you have to take care to really guide it through the little grooves. If you put every single divider in it would be a little bit challenging to remove small items from the very bottom. Whether that's a real con depends on what you want to store and how often you need to dig them out. We are storing lego in this right now and its perfect for that. I can see how this would be so versatile for so many things and will definitely buy more.

This clear carrying case is large enough to hold my 1" Binder, my sketch pads, an ArtBin Pencil/Utility Translucent Box, Charcoal and my technique books. It didn't cost me an arm and a leg, which I love. I spent a few moments wandering Michael's craft store and The Hobby Lobby for a fairly priced drawing kit, I didn't want to have to piece my own together, my efforts were to no avail and I ended up buying some pencil set with a coupon I had for 50% off and leaving...I scoured Amazon for the best deal on the stuff and I wound up taking a chance on the ArtBin line of accessories. I'm impressed and will be coming back for more, take a look at ArtBin, I don't think you'll be disappointed!

Great size, fits a lot of products. And durable, too. My cats knocked my art supplies onto the floor a few weeks ago. My brand new electric pencil sharpener broke, but this box emerged unscathed. The contents were a little mixed up but not harmed. I love the portability -- I bring my colored pencils with me to color when I visit my niece and nephew, and carrying it around with the handle is great. I currently store four sets of 50 colored pencils in this box along with my new electric pencil sharpener and a set of markers. They all fit, no problem.

It came broken on the corner but it's nothing to do with this excellent box. I wanted something lockable and it is. I bought mini master combination locks which fit just fine. I will probably get a lighter lock when I find one. I'll update that here. It is strong, has NO odor at all of plastic. As others have said I wish the bottom dividers were not fixed. They will however be great for paintbrushes & other art supplies like paints, etc. The items in the bottom are contained by the upper tray. I knew the measurements but still felt surprised by how large this is. I wish the upper tray were a little deeper. It will hold a few notebooks, maybe 3. Maybe it is a good size for a watercolor painting pad and also a paint pallet. ..... I will have this replaced. I will also buy another version just like this, only it has no tray OR dividers, it is just an open box. It's an excellent, very well made product with a clean design, and very practical.

I use dozens of these to organize all of my (small) tools and myriad supplies from paint brushes, to wire nuts, to Dremel tools, glue guns and all their accessories. I love many things about the excellent design but mainly that they are well made, tough (including the hinges), cannot accidentally spill open, they are nearly clear AND that they are perfectly stackable. I can put things in the small one and, as I need, upsize it to medium or large. I label them and stack them beautifully on white Intermetro shelves. Inside the cases I organize things with various sizes of plastic baggies. This allows you to be very organized without spending a lot of time on being fussy (ie: those containers with all the divided compartments.) I finally am organized, can quickly grab something on the go and can put it right back.

Our box was not packed well, should have had more wrapping around it inside, but no damage. This is a very sturdy box and PERFECT for children or anyone to store a lot in it. Kind of like a "child's briefcase". =) Has 2 very sturdy 4" long hinges on back. The "inside" measurements for storage are 15" wide X 9" deep X 3 1/2" high. This is exactly the inside size for storing various sizes of paper, notebooks etc comfortably. Others have given the depth measurement including the extra on each side of the handle, this cannot be included when storing paper. I use it for various paperwork in progress i.e. computer entry, keeps it altogether. I may buy some more for gkids Christmas gifts and for my jewelry hobby !

I have many ArtBin products -- some of which are still holding up perfectly after 40+ years -- and I go back to the product line each time I need something different. In this case (no pun intended), I was intrigued by the design and decided to purchase one as a test. It was useful and substantial enough that I bought 3 more. A full recommendation. Pros: 1. Clear 2. Solid material 3. Good hinge 4. GREAT sliding locks (2 of 'em) 5. Good handle 6. Not wildly expensive. 7. Great size for my particular need. A quick explanation of my use, which may or may not be of ANY value for anyone else to know. I have a lot of semi-sorted screws (Phillips / flat head / hex head / etc), nails and related small hardware parts. I wanted a box in which I could quickly search for a handful that matched any particular day's need -- this box turned out to be perfect for the following reasons: 1. When you lay it flat it's got enough "floor space" that I can see and spread out all the pieces. 2. The plastic is easier on my hands than my old metal tool box. For some reason metal screws in a metal box is less gentle to plow through. 3. The sliding locks are FIRM. Truly the last thing I ever want is to re-gather 400 spilled screws after my tool box came open. A hint for labeling them on the outside so that you don't leave permanent markings: I always put down a 3" strip of clear packing tape, then mark on THAT with a Sharpie, then put down a 2nd piece of clear tape over it (so that it won't wear off). Three years later, if I needed to repurpose the box, the tape peels right off and the box is unmarked again.

Amazing ! I just bought these and I am using them as Easter baskets so my little ones can use them as multi purpose toy storage for travel ! ❤️

I got this case to store my washi tape, stickers, pens, tape, markers, scissors, etc. Things I use for cards, journals, my planner, mixed media art, stuff like that. It's really the exact perfect size. The cases for my pens fit right in and don't flop around and it creates a good base for keeping other stuff like washi tape in place. It's thick enough that you can put a lot of stuff in it. I haven't even filled mine yet. And since I usually use these items together when making a project, it's great to be able to just grab this case and bring it to my work area rather than picking stuff out of my craft drawers that I've used in the past. It's surprisingly inexpensive for how great it is. I got the 14 inch which is perfect for these kinds of writing supplies but I might get another 17 inch one to store some bigger things in. The case locks well, so there's no worry about it spilling all over the place. Honestly, this is the perfect kind of art storage case I've been looking for for years, and I can't believe it was under ten dollars. If you're looking for a way to keep art supplies organized, you must get this. Highly recommended!

Great for carrying my various art supplies. this is the third ArtBin I have brought-one (the largest) contains my oil paints for travel, this Quick View Deep Base Carrying case helps me to cart around my various drawing pencils, pastels, some paint brushes, etc. The other I bought to close in my oil paints on palette paper to keep them moist overnight. The product is quite sturdy and useful.
