Bought this to melt candy melts for cake pops. This works SO much better than the Wilton Candy Melt Melting Pot. Don’t waste your money buying that...get this instead! Helpful tip for anyone looking to make cake pops: Use melted Crisco to get the candy melt to a runnier consistency. Food coloring didn’t work well for me with the white candy melts. Instead go to your local craft store to get the correct color candy melt.

I have had this just slightly less than a year. It's gotten very light use (about once a month or less). I have so far only used it for chocolate and caramel desserts and cheese. The unit overall looks nice and has a compact footprint. It heats very quickly and holds a consistent temperature. The variable temperature feature is very useful although for chocolate or cheese it's probably best to use on the lowest setting or the slightly above that. If it's much higher and/or not watched closely they will burn. I imagine the higher settings would be better for clarified butter, broth or oil for cooking meats. Clean up is a breeze. The base wipes up quickly. Even after badly burning two separate batches of chocolate in the pot it cleaned very well and looks just like it did when I bought it with no staining or residue. The 6 forks are color coded which is convenient and are long enough for use for myself and my children. However, I think the prongs are a little too wide and flat for juicier fruits and less-dense baked goods to stay on well especially when dipping in thicker liquids. The prongs are also starting to show rust even though I typically hand wash and dry them quickly; I have put them in the dishwasher only once. You may want to purchase replacement fondue forks or wooden skewers if you decide to buy this so you have them on hand if you run into the same problem I have. The size is perfect for a small dinner party or small family meals but I don't think it would work well enough for groups larger than 5 or 6 people depending on what it is you are using it for. I plan to use it this year for making chocolate dipped holiday goodies to give as gifts and see if it works better than a double boiler. Overall I'm very pleased with this purchase and plan to get much more use from it in the years to come.

I recently used this to make a pot of cheese fondue and it works great! Will be using it again. I purchased this because I didn't want to cook with the aluminum fondue pot I had, and a teflon lined second pot. This is a versatile pot that I used to put meatballs in for a Christmas house party I attended. They kept the meatballs nice and warm & everyone enjoyed them. Will be recycling the other two pots since this one fits the bill!

i was hesitant. i didn't want to buy my wife a gift that became a hassle for her. besides, she cooks terribly, so this was a stretch. to my delight, not only can she do quite a bit with it, but she really likes it. the pot is a great size for a 6 to 10 folks. she likes that the pan can be cleaned easily. the quality appears to be intact thus far. it will get warm enough and can be regulated easily to accommodate cheese or chocolate dishes and all in between. i'm looking forward to brines, but we haven't tackled that one yet. thus far, this has proven to be a really nice addition to our kitchen and social group. i would have no reservation recommending it based on the experience thus far.

I make cheese fondue on the stove in a double boiler then transfer it to this fondue pot. The fondue comes out perfectly creamy and well blended and this pot holds it at the right temperature and consistency. Works just as well for chocolate fondue.

I loooove these!!! I went to Melting Pot because I never had been before, and then shortly after, I wanted to be able to do fondues at home. These are awesome for that. The little pokey sticks are a bit flimsy, and the cord is only maybe 2 or 3 feet (so probably, you'll want an extension cord to do this at a table)...but other than that, the fondue pots work as expected, it's REALLY simple to operate, and it comes with a recipe book as part of the manual! :) Worked well, easy to clean.

Bought this electric fondue maker, after reading the reviews. AWESOME! I had some friends in last night for dinner. Made a simple fall squash soup, heated up the fondue, sliced some bread and apples, threw together a salad. It was so easy I am going to do it over and over again forever! Guests were delighted! And I was free to do all of the other things I needed to get done. No smell from fuel, no concerns about controlling the flame. I am so happy with this machine I plan to give one to each of my adult kids for Christmas! Did I mention it was AWESOME!

Our friends group decided to have a fondue party and I had no clue what I needed besides the ingredients in the recipe and a fondue pot. I looked locally and searched Amazon and realized that I could spend a lot of money on a fondue pot when I had no clue what I needed. I took a chance on this pot and I think it did the job well. The perfect blend of price and features. It worked beautifully and everyone was impressed at both the price and quality. Others had ran out and bought crockpots for nearly the same price, but weren't impressed with how they performed with fondue. I am thinking of getting a second one.... because the price is perfect, it performs well, fondue is fun and why not have two fondues instead of one. Some say it is on the small side, but it was party perfect in my opinion and the adjustable heat setting makes adding to the pot as you go an option. If you decided you new needed a larger one I think this one would be perfect for chocolate (people don't seem to take as much per dunk than they do the cheese fondues).

My husband and I read lots of reviews about certain 3 or 4 mini crock pot sets working out to be great fondue pots. So that you can have 3-4 different pots of cheese and dips all at once for fondue night but its not true, crock pots no matter which ones, do not ever get hot enough to hold dips to cook things. Some get hot enough to cook but not to this level so after much frustration of finding a fondue pot that worked well we came to this one. We tried a few fondue pots and one or two triple dipper crock pots and this one ended up being amazingly our favorite. It heats up fast doesnt burn and cooks evenly. We had an old fondue pot from the 70s and when we had our first fondue night with this new pot it was our best fondue experience. The cord is long enough to set it up so you can have fondue on your coffee table in the living room with a great movie if you want to do this. Also we like wine sauces, cheese sauces, soy and other sauces some that tend to be easy to accidentally burn and have tons of smoke int he house and with this new pot we had no problem heating them all up to their various heat levels without burning or smoking us out. Great fondue pot!

Pretty cool! It has many heat settings, so whether you are doing cheese or chocolate fondue, you always have the perfect temperature. When it is on the higher settings, it heats up really fast. And it has an indicator that lights up when you turn it on and turns off when the set temperature is reached. The cheese forks that come with it are a bonus
