Use for dogs skin and ear issues!
This is awesome stuff! It has saved me so much in vet bills. I add to water so it looks like a dark tea and bath my dogs in it. I also use it in there ears. I have 2 labs and they were always having ear infections and skin issues. It was getting expensive taking them to the vet all the time and having to put them on antibiotics. After using this for months now it has healed and now prevented any issues we've been having.

Cheap, effective way to help with sore and itchy dog paws
I saw a video of someone using this for her dog's sore and itchy paws and figured I'd try the same. Our poor dog has been plagued with allergies this summer, and a few of her toes got sore and infected in between the pads. We fill a plastic tub (one of those low shallow ones that could be used for storage under the bed) and have her step in it, and then we give her a little bit of cream cheese in a cup to lick as a distraction. We are able to do 3-5 minutes several times a day and have seen a huge improvement. Prior to this, we'd been trying Hydrogen Peroxide or Epsom Salts and neither seemed to do much of anything except sting her.

Iodine has so many uses
Killing fungus on skin, disinfecting a sore, even a squirt added to liquid hand soap bottles gives me the comfort in knowing a broad spectrum of germs and fungus are being eradicated. This product is actually cheaper by Amazon prime than it is in my own local drug stores. I'm a fan. Added to water of dubious sources, shaken and bottled, iodine can make water safe to drink. I also use it sparingly in a weak tea on my dog's pimples and once he had a hot spot that I treated with this iodine tea after his bath. Vet said it was a wise, non prescription choice and the dog's hot spot cleared up in about 2 weeks and never returned. I hear people use it to soak their feet when they have athlete's foot but I really don't know if it's effective, never having had to use it myself.

Helped a little with my fur baby's irritated paws
It did help a little bit with my fur baby's irritated paws. It is a good sized bottle at a reasonable price. I will definitely order more if I need it in the future.

Everyone Should Have Some in First Aid Kit
Exactly as described! I use it for cleaning skin prior to skin tag removal, dermablading, and prep for pimple-popping. Good for prevention of bacterial, viral and fungal infections, and protozoal infections. I have also used it to maintain oral hygiene before and after dental surgery, and for cleaning incision site after discectomy/laminectomy.

Outstanding product for the money
This is a large bottle of Iodine prep solution for the money. Good quality product, thicker than some of the lesser quality brands. Works great diluted in water to a light tea color and used to treat my dog's skin allergies or infections. I use this full strength on myself as I spend a lot of time in the woods and frequently return with cuts and scrapes. This works great to prevent infections. This is for external use only, so it can't be used for water decontamination or for thyroid protection.

This prep solution is great to use at home to clean out any cuts ...
This prep solution is great to use at home to clean out any cuts or open wounds. Although you have to be careful not to stain your clothing, this medical grade solution is perfect to keep around the house. My husband is a surgeon and he uses this all the time at the hospital so he was surprised to see me use at home, but it's nice to know that it's something that is frequently used in hospitals and medical offices. I've found that this is good for my dog as well if he has any skin infections or rashes. Instead of taking him to the vet, I have found that using this regularly saves trips and money spent at the vet. It's definitely a great product to have around the house!

Great First Aid Item to Have On Hand
I found this iodine to be helpful in treating a furuncle my dog had developed. I made a weak solution of this product in warm water, and soaked his foot for 10-15 minutes. I also added Epsom salts to the tea colored solution for extra drawing. This gave my dog a lot of relief, and his bump went away. Consistency would have made it fully disappear more quickly, but my boy wasn't in love with the idea of standing in a tub of water. The instructions I found online suggested that I NOT rinse my dog's paws after soaking, but the first time I used the soaking solution, he didn't feel well the next day, so I would highly recommend rinsing thoroughly after use. I didnt have that problem again. I can't positively say that the soak solution is what caused his tummy ache, but I won't chance it AGAIN. To reiterate, DO rinse thoroughly! I'm glad to have found this iodine for a good price, and I'll keep it in my first aid kit.

Perfect For My Dogs Itchy Paws
This year my adult Wiemeraner has suffered with itchy feet which he was was continuously chewing at. I looked on line and this product (or variety of) was suggested as a bathing solution. Delivery speed was respectable, and well packaged with no leaks as others had posted. A mix of Dynarex and water, I let my dogs soak in a shallow tub with all 4 paws for about a minute then gently rubbed between his toes to help it get to all the nooks and cranny's, then patted dry. Worked a treat! Doing this twice a month seems to keep his feet clean, and seems to stop bacteria forming making his feet itch. I'd recommend it.

Do it all medication
I bought this on the recommendation of my vet. My Bull Dog Lou had yeast issues between his toes so he is always chewing his feet. He would chew so much that he would get infections and be miserable. I tried all kinds of medication but I was informed by my vet that iodine could easily get rid of his foot problems with regular soaks. I give him a bath and then at the end I remove all but an inch of water and put in the iodine. I let him soak for a few minutes then take him out. There is no need to rinse and it is even safe for him to lick. I am already seeing an improvement. I am so happy I was told about this amazing medication; antimicrobial and anti yeast. This is a life saver. Now its good for the dog but its also great for us. Any wound would benefit from an application of iodine. Hey if its good enough for surgery prep, its good enough for any injury you can get at home.
