A STURDY, QUALITY, WELL-DESIGNED AND DURABLE DECK BOX.

Before you begin assembly, go to the Keter website > outdoor storage > deck boxes. The style or model you are looking for is GLENWOOD. Go to assembly instructions, download and print. They are correct to a T. I found no problems or issues whatsoever. Unpack and identify each part according to the parts list and instructions. Each plastic part is stamped with a large part number on the inside corner like PB, PF, PLP or PRP to simplify assembly. The two sizes of screws (SCW0 & SCW7) are in separate ziplock bags and clearly labeled. The small parts are clearly identified by accurate illustrations. Using a small variable speed cordless screwdriver with adjustable torque and a standard Phillips bit, assembly takes one person less than an hour. An adjustable torque screwdriver will help prevent over tightening and stripping the plastic threads. The larger screws (SCW0) used in the wall assembly require more torque than the floor screws and will not strip easily. Your bit will probably bounce and skip on the screw head before the plastic threads strip. However, the smaller SCW7 floor screws will strip the plastic threads if you are not careful. If that happens, a small dab of Liquid Nails will secure it forever. The big box home improvement stores sell wall board foam insulation in 4' X 8' sheets for about $14.00. Once assembly was complete, I cut a section to fit in the floor for reinforcement in case something heavy is dropped inside by accident. This deck box is not air tight. There are holes in the channels on the upper side of the back wall panel for ventilation. Perhaps this is a safety precaution in case Little Johnny locks little brother or Fido inside and forgets about them. Even though ventilation helps prevent interior mold and mildew, the holes will allow water to enter in a blowing rain storm or when cleaning with a pressure washer. Think outside the box and you'll do fine. I sealed the seams and holes with construction grade Liquid Nails which cures much faster than silicone sealant and is 20 times stronger. Keter deck boxes are made in Israel and the sturdy quality and design is far superior to most foreign-made products we see on the market today. I'm looking at an even larger Keter Deck Box for Amazon deliveries.

Love this deck box

Love this deck box. Wasn’t the easiest to assemble but worth the time. Looks great and I like how it opens and closes effortlessly. Would recommend to anyone looking for a box like this.

Great Deck box

I ordered this deck box to store 6 cushions for my patio set. It is plenty big, bigger than I expected actually. Assembly was fairly straight forward. Directions were good and all parts were labeled. A cordless drill will make it go faster. Assembly took me less than an hour. Quality seems good. The bottom is fairly flimsy so I would avoid putting anything too heavy inside but it is sturdy enough for a couple adults to sit on. I have had it for a couple weeks not and we have had a couple heavy rain storms and the cushions inside stay dry. Great deck storage box for the price.

GREAT BOX! after reading previous reviews I was a bit worried, but turned out to be quite pleasantly surprised. 1) the instructions were clear and accurate. 2) all of the hardware was packaged and labeled correctly. 3) with a single screwdriver, assembly was straight forward. 4) the finished product is sturdy and holds all of my pool hoses, chemicals, tiki fuel, pool toys, and pool related odds and ends in a tidy, weatherproof, and aesthetically pleasing way right on the pool deck where they belong. I'm very happy with this purchase and would like to recommend that anyone who would like this box on their deck to buy it and look over the included instructions and proceed from step one through the end all in about 90 minutes. It's a great product.

Keeps my pool towels dry

This sits out uncovered on my deck and the beach towels are always dry. Some discoloration has occurred so I would recommend covering it. Happy with the purchase after a year.

good quality for the money

good quality for the money. easy assembly. the instructions are all pictures. not sure i would use it as a bench. when i sat on it it bent in the middle with only 134 lbs. can not imagine that it would support 500 lbs. if you are looking for a bench/storage this is not the one. if you are looking for a good affordable storage box then this one is perfect.

Just what I needed for my garbage pick up

Great. Just what I needed to put out by the road for my garbage pickup. I live in the country and it closed tight. I put a lock on it at the beginning so wind and dogs would not get in. but it closes tightly and I do not lock it now. I did get 2 of the end panels identacal - sent an email to the seller. They me the web site to Kebber. They replaced it quickly no questions asked. Easy to assemble.

Was easy to put together (I think it took about 20-30 minutes) and looks great on my porch. We don't have much storage inside or outside of the house and this was a great way to hide the clutter and get it out of the rain. I've added before and after pictures of my deck.

Very Nice

Very happy with this storage solution. The bottom is raised some but manages to hold the weight of a small generator without issue. Construction is sturdy and the lock part on the front should deter most people or animals. Great size for the price.
