I've used this for 2 kids so far and soon to be a third. It's not only held up but its just a great overall simple product. No frills and thrills to see here, you go in, do your business and get out. It doesn't play music or give you that lounge chair position and thats exactly what I wanted. My kids all liked it, it doesn't take up a ton of space and its easy to take when traveling (by car or camping, don't recommend taking it on flights). The collector portion easily comes out and is really easy to rinse off and clean afterwards. Nothings stains or sticks around. There is also a little lip on the back for a tiny bit of back support and position help, which I find has been much better than the taller backed version.

This potty chair worked so well for us. We did elimination communication starting at a month old. It was a perfect fit for her when she was little and it was our go to potty until she upgraded to the toilet at a year and a half. I would recommend this potty for any kid but if you are needing something a little smaller, this is perfect. I have traveled with this seat and it has really held up to some abuse. It is super easy to clean. The lip at the front was a little hard to navigate when my daughter was small but she figured it out as she grew. If you EC this potty is the perfect start to finish potty chair.

My baby is small (18 pounds at 1 year) and I had ordered the larger BabyBjorn Potty Chair and it just seemed too big. This one seems like a much better size for him. Both potty chairs are sleek, easy to clean, simple design. The bowls seem to be interchangeable. However, the Smart Potty is about an inch lower than the Potty Chair so it is a better fit for my little one. I thought the higher back/sides on the Potty Chair would make it seem more stable, but my child seems very stable and comfortable on this one. I will post a photo of the two chairs side-by-side for comparison... if I had been able to see them side by side I probably would have purchased the Smart Potty to start with!

This was actually our 3rd potty purchase when we were trying to potty train the twins, and also our favorite. It's simplicity is what made it wonderful. Our first two were potties that had lights/sounds/music when in use, but we found it to be distracting (sometimes would sing/lights go off for no apparent reason) and more difficult to clean. This is very easy to use, clean, and transport if needed. We haven't had any accidents with pee going over the lip when my son pees (although he prefers to be a big boy now & stand at the regular toilet instead of using this). We have 3 toilets at home, so potties in every bathroom, and also purchase additional ones to leave at grandma's house. Grandma's house has 2 of these small potties and one that you set on top of the toilet for 4 children under the age of 4 to share. My only concern about this one is, when the child is done & standing up to pull up his/her pants, if they are close enough to the potty, they pants/underpants can tug at the lip of the potty and can potentially cause a spill. It hasn't happen yet, but I find my self constantly reminding the children to take 1 step forward before pulling their pants up.

Bought this for my son when he was just 5 1/2 months old. He's now 9 months and this is his main way of going number 2! It's the perfect size where it's not too big for him. The only thing is it doesn't have a back to it so it's challenging holding him on it when he wasn't able to well support himself, but it's not a deal breaker for me. The pee guard has worked fine for us. Only had maybe one instance where it didn't block it, mainly because he was trying to stand up. Easy to dump and clean as well. Highly recommend this product! Update: my son is now over 2 and now that we are getting serious about potty training he's still using this and I think it helped having it earlier on since he was used to it! Not too small for him yet. It allows him to sit in proper position for better ease in a "squat" position. Still happy with this purchase :)

We have 3 different potties. This is my favorite and this is why: Pros: - smallest, lightest, most portable - easiest to fit anywhere, even in tight spaces - most versatile design for matching decor - claims to be BPA-free and recyclable (the others might be, but don’t claim it) - 7 color options - smallest and lightest insert is the easiest for toddler to pick up and empty into the toilet Cons: - I guess you argue price is a con. It is more expensive than others (but if $5 more breaks the bank, then maybe you should get a hand-me-down, garage sale or craigslist find) - some reviewers complain that the pee guard is not big enough but I’m not sure any of these have a big enough pee guard if your boy isn’t aiming down Overall: - This is our favorite. It is light and portable. We’ve had no problems with it. - I'd buy this again if I needed another potty Comparison: BABYBJORN Smart Potty - White $15 7 colors options BPA-free & recyclable made in Sweden 1 lb, 12.5 x 10 x 7 89% of 479 reviews 4+ smallest, most expensive Summer Infant Lil' Loo Potty, White and Teal $9.99 (33% cheaper than BB) 5 color options 14.5 x 14 x 12 (~30% larger than BB) 1.9 lbs (2x heavier than BB) made in USA 91% of 1678 reviews 4+ least expensive, most popular Fisher-Price Froggy Potty $11.57 2 colors 15 x 13.8 x 10.2 (~30% larger than BB) 2.8 lbs (3x heavier than BB 89% of 81 reviews 4+ (older model made in China was 1.3 lbs and had 85% of 829 reviews 4+) (Note: We have a 20lb 2.5yo girl. She is small and a girl.)

You can't go wrong with BabyBjorn for potty training! I've used several different potties for my two children and this one has been my favorite for its simple design and ease of use. For my daughter, the potty design was less important, so I didn't think about it much. However, for my son not all potties have been easy to use. I'm teaching to pee sitting down, at least to start, and some of the potties don't have enough room at the front to keep everything inside the potty unless he spreads his legs uncomfortably wide. This one has room at the front to make sure everything stays inside the potty. The potty is also easy to clean because it doesn't have too many nooks and crannies. The potties with a lid, for instance, have cracks where things can get trapped. With just two pieces this one is easy to wash.

This potty is small enough to use with my baby for elimination communication. I have been putting my baby on this potty since she was 3 months old. She sits comfortably on it. It is easy to clean out. The rubber on the bottom makes it stay put so it doesn't slip around if my baby moves.

Love this potty! My 2 year old son potty trained in a week on this thing and it is the perfect size and design! He recently used a different potty at his cousins house and got pee everywhere bc of the poor design. With this potty it has a splash guard and it is narrow enough so that he can still squat to poop. I would recommend this potty to anyone along with the oh crap potty training book. We have a toilet insert as well but the potty is much easier for him to use and to be independent.

Excellent for elimination communication! I wish I got it sooner. At two months, I started putting my daughter on the big toilet, and I would just hold her over it. Started using this at eleven months and she took to it right away. She sits on it by herself. Then I just dump it in the toilet. In my bathroom, I have the changing pad on my floor (keekaroo - it's great!), then this potty next to it. Very convenient. There are two pieces. The inside piece would be good to hold in your lap if you're starting EC as a newborn. There's a small back to it, which is helpful. As well as a small splash guard in the front which ask helps with positioning.
