I watch a lot of tutorials, read a lot of “how-tos” and reviews on equipment. Always kinda figured I didn’t need one of these. I held off ordering for months (although I don’t know why, principle I would guess) and finally dug into the kids college fund to finance this shiny steel accessory. When my video doorbell told of its arrival my heart skipped a beat, I finally own a steel “L” called a square. I could not get my table saw, miter saw, tri-square (also not shaped like a square) and framing square out and dusted off fast enough. I set out to prove my many botched pieces of wood were due to faulty equipment. Oops. The two squares are, as you can guess, square indeed. I set out to check on my saws next. Now we have some challenges. After a bit of fiddling this tiny but herculean piece of precision tells of saw blades ever so slightly out of alignment. I make adjustments, finish a cold adult beverage, make some more adjustments, and lo and behold, square blades! Or at least blades square to tables and fences and stuff. This square, although tiny, is perfect for the purpose. It fits neatly into the equipment to check on tolerances and its heft makes it very stable. I have made 15-20 cuts with the saws since alignment and the cuts (with the exception of my error) are superior in every way now. Wish I would have purchased a long time ago…

I don't know why I haven't bought one of these squares years ago, they are so handy for truing saw blades and scribing cut lines on 2x4's. I checked it on a 1,2,3 block and it's true. The best thing is that I can slip it in my apron pocket so I don't put it down somewhere and then can't find it.The aging process very frustration (I said it nice).

I was a bit leery to buy this square after reading some of the negative reviews, but I figured if it was off my quite a bit i would just return it (the first one). Well I checked them with my PEC squares which are engineered to strict specifications, and they truly are square. If fact I bought two. Just like any other square make sure you don't drop it on a hard surface because it will probably get out of square. I use them all the time for checking to make sure my blades are set at a true 90 degree angle. I only wish they were magnetic so I could keep one permanently on my table saw fence, but other than that, these are great.

I make custom cabinets or what ever client wants. This little square is very handy. When I first received I thought it was going to b bigger. But what a perfect size. I used it for checking saw blades are square, corners square in drawers and so on. It's heavy and very well made

I've used mine now everyday for several weeks now. As you know, no matter how hard you try to be careful, it's going to eventually find the floor the hard way. The sign of a good engineering square is that it can take such a fall and still maintain plumb. Mine did just that and I've come trust it now ...

This little guy is absolutely perfect for calibrating miter saws and table saws. Nothing is worse than having a saw slightly off from square. This thing is small and precise so it's able to give really good readings from table to blade.

Under 1 thou out of square along the length (checked against my starret #20) and parallel to within say a half thou. For $12 shipped, not sure how much more you can reasonably expect. Plenty good enough for wood.

I use this a lot more than I expected. It seems to be accurate from what tests I can do, and the size makes it handy where a bigger one would be unusable, although sometimes I'd like to have bigger than 4 inch. It would be nicer if it had markings for measuring, but that usually isn't what I need it for.

This works great for making sure my Miter saw is at 90. Butts up against the saw blade without hitting anything. It's also a great straight edge for small pieces of wood. Great purchase and very cheap. I ended up getting 3 more

I mean, didn’t really expect much. One tends to raise an eyebrow at items of measurement that are cheap and “accurate” but having used expensive plates and other tools, this little square is actually more accurate than stated, granted that was mine in particular but I would wager yours would be at least as accurate as claimed. Good buy. Cheers!
