Great for manicures
This item is actually three packs which each have 170 precision tip cotton swabs - 510 total - which means this is a great price! I can't even find these at my local grocery stores (and I live in a good-sized college city), but normal Q-Tips are considerably more expensive locally. These are just like normal Q-Tips, but have pointed tips. They're not as firm as something like a marker would be, but they are noticeably pointy which makes them great for detail work. I got these to do at home french manicures. They are very precise and easy to use for making clean lines (I paint on a color for the tips, and then use the precision Q-Tips dipped in nail polish remover to create a clean line). I've tried several other methods, but these Q-Tips are by far the fastest and easiest method.

These qtips are much better than the regular ones
These qtips are much better than the regular ones. I would compare this to Frans and I will say that for quality precision with your makeup mistakes, especially the eyeliner wing, Frans would be best. But these qtips can also do the job, better than the regular qtips and much more affordable than Frans. You get more for your money. I bought these and Frans and I use both for different purposes and level of precision tip I need.

Best idea ever!
Love these q-tips! I'm not very good at doing my own nails and always manage to make a mess, these are perfect for clean up and touch ups, the smaller tip is easy to use without taking off half the polish on my nail.

Useful and Multifunctional Q-Tips
These Q-Tips are perfect for removing excess amounts of mascara. They are also good for refining eyebrow pencil applications or perfecting lip lines. If you're traveling and forgot your eyes hadow brushes, these will make a good substitute. Another use for them is to apply minute amounts of cream medications in precisely the right spot. I like the fact that, the tips stay pointed and the fibers don't spread out. I've even used the Precision Tips dipped into nail polish remover for manicures; removing any polish that is on the skin and not on the nail. If you need to get into very small spots for cleaning, this is a very handy little swab to have on hand. It helps with cleaning crevices when polishing and getting the hard-to-reach areas under the handles of a pot.

and I know they will be great for that
These were just delivered today. I ordered them to use when I polish my nails, to wipe away any smudges that get onto the skin around my nails, and I know they will be great for that. Today I used them to touch up my eye makeup, and they are just wonderful for that as well! Will always be sure to have a supply of these on hand, they are THAT good! The cotton tip is much denser than regular Q-Tips, the stick is sturdy and doesn't bend as easily as regular Q-Tips. The cotton tip tapers down to a nice, thin, pointy peak, which is perfect for fixing eyeliner smudges, or tapering down the width of the applied eyeliner. It's going to be amazing on my nail polish smudges.

Buy 'em.
I thought these were silly for the longest time. I didn't believe they could possibly be much different than the regular, round-tipped Q-Tips. Is anyone else periodically amazed by their own ability to be crazy, super, stupid wrong? Q-Tips are an essential part of my makeup application, as I am a long-time devotee of the black liquid liner cat eye/wing ("long time" as in "since high school," about which I will not elaborate, save to say that two digits are required to express the year span in question). I finally decided to give these a shot a few months ago, and they are outstanding. They really do help to create a sharp, straight line to the wing. See, drawing it right in the first place has never been my method. Instead, I attack my eyelid with ink and hope for a good result. I almost never get one. So I go back with a moist Q-Tip and fix whatever wonky cosmetic atrocity I've inevitably created. As well as the round tip Q-Tips work for this, these pointed ones are leaps and bounds better for creating that elusive crisp line. They also precisely remove lipstick from non-lip locations and polish from areas more finger than nail.

Great gun cleaner
Got to clean my smith & Wesson shield. The pointy tips help get into tight spaces and clean easier. Also when applying the oil helps target specific areas instead of globbing it on.

These are a must!!
Excellent for small arts and crafts, and even better when cleaning small devices or reaching into small spaces. I primarily use these to clean my firearms and all the components that make them up. The precision tips are so great when trying to apply a small amount of lubricant to a very specific surface. I will continue to buy these again and again and again.

Hands-down the best
Absolutely love these! The price is so much better than the little pack of Swispers you get in the beauty section. Let’s see, 3/pk. Of 170 ct./per box for less than $8? Thats a total of 510. Or you could spend around $2 per pack for between 75-80 ct. of an inferior product. These are the real deal. They’ Q-tips brand so you know they’re good. Plus, I like the fact they’re paper, not plastic, so they bend, yet not to easily. That’s a no brainer!

Great tip shape
I like the shape of these. Point is just right for doing a bit of precision makeup work - can dab a bit of extra makeup over a blemish or dark spot for better coverage, use the point for cleanup of mascara on upper lid, smoothing of your eyeliner, use the flat edge to roll under your lower eyelashes to clean up any residue you don't want...I'm sure you can come up with your own uses. On the Q-tips I received, one tip is a little flatter than the other, don't know if that is a manufacturing thing or one side got smushed a bit, but I happen to like that as it gives slightly different points to do different jobs on my makeup. With regular Q-tips, I would pull off some of the cotton ends to make them thinner and then use them under my lower eyelashes, but these work better. Do not poke these in your ear, as the shape is narrower than the regular kind and you could do some damage.
