Most ear plugs, no matter how tightly I squish them, have already expanded beyond the size of my ear canal by the time I can actually get them up there to insert. These expand slowly, and squish down smaller, so they are inserted easily; in fact, I have to hold them there for a sec until they've expanded enough to stay in by themselves! Obviously they have their limits in what sounds can be blocked; and snoring seems capable of transmitting through the materials of pillow, mattress, and earplug, so you just get a different range of frequencies than the ones that go out through the air. But I think that's sort of an un-solvable problem, when you get down to it. These do all that a set of squishy foam plugs can be expected to do, and they do it more comfortably than any others I've tried.

finally i found the perfect ear plug for sleeping, my snoring wife, noisy hotels all are no match. the soft foam plugs fit well and are easy to wear. it took trying many different brands to finally find the correct ones. i have by the side of my bed and never leave home without them.

Figuratively and literally. I work night shifts. The first day I wore them to sleep my wife tripped the house alarm system which has a loud indoor speaker. Once she saw that I didn't flinch she proceeded to talk to me and make faces to see if I was fooling around (she doesn't do night shifts). After two minutes she stopped because she realized these were in my ears and figured it out. I didn't know that this happened until two days later when I reviewed my email and saw that the alarm had been tripped and she confessed. The slim fit is great, it is what makes them great. Other sound blockers of whatever sort put pressure on different parts of the ear which becomes uncomfortable and wakes me up. Or, they are large headphones and I can't lie on my side. I figure a pair will last more than a week of use, probably 2 and would not be surprised at 4. Having said that, they are so small and so are the kids so they disappear. Glad to have a box of 50 pair. Wish I had these 20 years ago...

These are awesome! I used to use those cylindrical earplugs (terrible!), then discovered Macks. Macks have been my favorites for years, but I just noticed this "slim fit" version. I took a chance on them, and they are my new hands down favorite. I hadn't even noticed that the regular Macks were too wide for me (since they were so much better than the others I'd tried), but these are a big improvement for me. If your ears are ever even a little bit sore after using earplugs, do yourself a favor and try these.

I have had problems with several different brands and types of earplugs. First off, my ear canals must be fairly narrow. It has been a challenge to get the rolled up plugs properly inserted in my ears. Worse, I am apparently allergic to, or at least sensitive to latex. I tour on a motorcycle and after long use, the plugs become itchy and irritating, then go all the way to broken skin. While these plugs don't say "latex free", the FAQ on the website says they have no "natural" latex. I'm not exactly sure what that means, but these plugs are not irritating my ears. I have not done a multi day tour using them yet, but a 5 hour stint was trouble free. The (slightly) slimmer design does fit in my ear better and they reduce noise at least as well as anything else I have tried.

I love these earplugs! My spouse snores. Loudly. I'm prone to insomnia and snoring severely impacts my ability to sleep. I've long ago accepted I need to wear earplugs to bed. For years I was using the regular Mack's earplugs, which worked great but irritated my ears. They were just too big, and after 7-8 hours, my ears would ache in the morning. The Slim Fit by Mack's are perfect for me! These fit perfectly in my small ears without sacrificing any of the sound protection I know and love from Mack's. There's 50 pairs (100 individual plugs) so these should last for awhile. I would highly recommend these ear plugs to women and men with smaller ear canals that need to block out sounds.

These ear plugs have been integral for getting a good night's sleep in a noisy apartment. I used to struggle with sleepless nights because of the noise from my roommates or dogs in my apartment and spend all day feeling like a zombie with a headache. White noise machines and box fans would not drown out the loud noises that kept waking me up. Fit: I finally decided to try ear plugs, but normal sized ones would feel like they are stretching out my ears from the inside. I decided to try and give these soft and slim fit earplugs a try, and they have been awesome! Since these earplugs are slim fit I am able to comfortably keep them in my ears for 8-10 hours without them feeling painful. It took some practice to properly get them in my ears. I found that it's best to roll them super tight, place them in your ear and then wiggle the top of your ear back-and-forth with your hand until it fully expands. Noises: I have used these ear plugs to get much needed rest against: snoring boyfriends in a queen bed, noisy hotel neighbors, loud roommates in the hall and kitchen, dogs pacing and barreling down the hall, garbage trucks and cars outside, birds at 5am, worried parents trying to clean the house at 7am before Thanksgiving guests arrive, airplanes taking off, and vacuums. These earplugs however will not block out: fire alarms (which is good), phone alarms and calls (if your phone is near you), barking dogs in your apartment, and doorbells. I'll definitely keep buying these earplugs as long as I'm a light sleeper! They have saved me from many interruptions in my sleep and I'm so thankful for them.

I have sensitive ear canals that swell up and these work great. They don't seem to irritate my ears and they fit without being too much. I am able to sleep soundly when it's noisy thanks to these. I have tinnitus and I pair these with a loud white noise app on my phone. These earplugs block out annoying sounds like dogs and washing machines but I can still hear white noise to block out my ears ringing.

I use these to sleep. They don't have the highest sound rating, but they're perfectly fine to block out traffic and other noise from the street or people talking quietly in my apartment. I've been sleeping with earplugs for over a decade and my inside of my ears can get quite painful with other types of earplugs. I've been using the Slim Fit ones for over a year now and I never have any ear pain; periodically I'll use a different earplug, because I still have some left from before I switched, and I always have ear pain after one or two nights. I'm a relatively small (5'1") woman and I suppose my ear canals are correspondingly smaller.

I worked in industry for almost 30 years.. Worn all kinds of ear plugs.. These are the best ever... I have a small ear canal and other plugs were difficult to insert... then they would work out... and the noise was not stopped..... First thing I noticed, after inserting the plugs, was how quiet is was.. They inserted farther than other plugs had.. They sealed TIGHT in the ear canal and man was it quiet... These plugs are keepers... I will order them again...
