I was on the search for the perfect booster seat for my child and compared multiple options, but when I saw this one, it was love at first sight! It reminds me of my child's old Bumbo seat that she had when she was tinier, so this one works perfectly! It's the exact height I need for our table, it's comfortable for her, the color is perfect (I got the hot pink) and most importantly, it's easily cleaned! No crevices or holes for crumbs to fall into and the material prevents the seat from shifting around on the actual chair. Even though the seat doesn't have any straps, I don't worry about my kid falling off because of the "guardrails" along the side of the chair. It's very much a bucketseat type of seat! Do not hesitate to buy!

Great booster! I have been using this with my 4 year old for nearly a year now. Before I bought I waffled back and forth between several boosters for a few weeks, not wanting to buy the wrong one and regret it. I am so glad I ended up deciding on this one - no frills and no fancy doodads, and perfect for what it is designed to do - boost a kid up to the table. It was the perfect choice for my 4 year old who was too small to sit up in a regular chair by himself but too big to keep strapping him into our old one for mealtime. It does not hook onto the chair, which I really like, and so does he - he gets to change where he sits around the table when he wants to now. The mobility also makes it easy to clean when necessary, just pick it up and take it to the sink. It brushes off easily and wipes off easily when needed. It is some sort of a soft coated foam, but don't let that description deter you. This thing is hardy. There is no ripping, squishing, squashing, stepping on or sitting on it the wrong way that will change the shape or cause it damage. It also seems to be much more comfortable than a hard plastic one. It has a low rim all the way around, which can help keep your child in when he is sitting in it and the chair is pushed in. I say help because it is still possible to climb out of it. I purchased this in charcoal and I have found that it is very inconspicuous at the table, and when the chairs are pushed in, it is hardly noticeable. I would recommend this for a slightly older little one - old enough to climb up and down by themselves but too young or too short to sit up to the table on their own. I would guess that we will use this for at least another year or so, until my son gets a bit taller. I would purchase this again without hesitation!

WE transferred to this booster seat when my son was shy of 18 months and I am SO glad we did. He had started fighting the high chair and being strapped in. This seat allowed him the freedom to sit at the table in a chair like his mom and dad, but still have the height needed to eat. He also doesn't try to get out of it - he sits better than he did in the high chair. I also was impressed with the seat not slipping or sliding around in the chair. Because there was not a strap, I worried it may - nope! STays put. It's also super easy to clean. I HATED cleaning the straps and cover, etc. on our high chair - just a hassle. I can quickly spray and wipe this seat down after dinner or spray it off at the sink for extra messy situations. HOpe this helps you in this decision - but go for it!

So comfortable and great padding for your "in-between" toddler. I bought two for both of my grandkids that have outgrown the highchair but still need to be bolstered up to the table. The padded seat make both of my grandkids very comfortable and so they don't slip out nor are they pushed under the edge of the table as they were in the highchair or booster highchair seat. LOVE THESE!!!

Our big boys (2 years old) loves his booster seat. He can sit at the table like a big boy now and see his food. The seat is very durable and has grippers to ensure it does not move while child is seated. My only complaint (and it is a small one) is that the seat is a bit difficult to clean. The seat itself is textured and anything that gets ground in to it does not wipe away easily. Overall, a great purchase!

Just what our 3 year old needed. Out other booster has straps which she didn’t need. This seat stays put on our wood chairs. I have to remind her to make sure the seat I’m centered before she climbs up but it mostly stays in place. Our daughter was getting out of her chair and wondering during meals. Not anymore. She stays in place and she really likes “her” seat. It gives her the height she needs to comfortably eat at our table. It is also super easy to transport. We took it to a restaurant last night and took it to Grammys house too. Cleaning it so far has been a breeze. As with anything else, it’s easier to clean sooner rather than later but we never had any problems. Just buy it. You won’t regret it.

I actually like this item more than i thought. I was planning to go with a cheaper cushion but i am glad that i spent the money. I use it on a wooden chair 1. Super easy to clean. I can just wipe it down or clean it in the sink for heavier mess. No cracks or hard corners to clean. It's round so food does not get stuck. 2. Safe...it does not slide on the chair. My toddler climbs on the chair on its own and stands on it too (when i look away) and the cushion stays in place. 3. Lightweight...my toddler can carry it on and off the chairs ...no problem... it is big but if space is not an issue, you could easily travel with it. Its not cumbersome. 4. It does not have straps which i love. I just wanted something high enough for my toddler to seat on so he can eat comfortably at the table with us. 5. Sturdy.... with proper use it should last a few years through several kids. I would buy it again or another one if needed.

My two year old grandson has decided he wants to eat at the table and not in his highchair. Because he is only with us a couple of times a month, I didn't want to have to deal with a booster that had to be strapped onto the chair. This booster sits nicely on the chair, raises him up high enough to eat comfortably, and cleans up so nicely. We can easily move it from one spot to another, and now my grandson enjoys eating with us at the table. Love this product!

Bought this right before vacation for my almost 3 year old. Thought it would be good for the place we were staying and for any restaurants. I was right! I spent sooo many hours researching booster seats. Did i want straps? easily cleaned? so many have tiny spots for food to fall and i REALLY wanted to aboid that. i also decided since we never use straps to buckle my daughter in currently, I didnt really need those. I was worried about the seat not strapping around the chair but we havent had any issues and it's one more thing you have to worry about. This seat works great on all types of chairs - wooden, cushioned, bench seats - I love it! I got the brown color and as others have stated it is greyish- which i just love! i thought it might be poop brown the way the fast food ones are but it's not! it's a nice color, lightweight, and very soft! So far has been a breeze to clean as well. Very happy with my choice and the price! I will be taking this wherever we go from now on.

***UPDATE 10/2017*** Upgrading from 3 stars Having used this chair for over 2 years now (it is now kid #4's chair), my opinion of this chair has grown a bit. Going off my quick list from the original review: 1) there is absolutely no odor anymore 2) I have never had any hint of a problem with it sliding around or wanting to fall off, so while I still hold that the bottom of the chair has less substance that it could, I have to concede that it is enough 3) ... no change here--I still think the Cooshee feels better to the touch 4) I don't know what was originally mashed into the texture of the chair, but for most things, it cleans up just fine. Also, I would like to point out that kid #3 hasn't been able to make a dent in this thing--it is still holding up very well and is still practically in a like-new condition. I cannot say the same for the Cooshee which has been taped, glued, and taped again, but to no avail and now only a fragment of the side remains. Another note: although kid #3 was originally assigned to this chair and does still sit in it from time to time, kid #4 routinely chooses this one over the Cooshee when presented with the choice. That may just be because the Cooshee is all torn up on the sides, but it also proves that as a chair, it is perfectly comfortable to little bottoms! I was going to make this a 4 star review simply because I do still like the Cooshee better and if *I* was going to sit in one or the other, I would choose the Cooshee, but with kid #4's endorsement, I went ahead and gave it all 5 stars. Revised summary: if you have the cash and a gentle kid, the Cooshee is still the better chair, but if you want to save some money and/or if you have a kid who is hard on things, then this PL is the better choice. *************************** ORIGINAL REVIEW: We've had a "Cooshee Classic" for years now. It is now seating it's 3rd kid and we have LOVED it--best "high chair" solution we have found for any kid that is about 1 or 2 to about 3 or 4 years (depending on how tall your kids are). Unfortunately, "kid #3" is... shall we say, very hard on all his belongings. We were surprised when our Cooshee's side got ripped--we had thought it would last forever, but then when we thought about all the other things kid #3 has destroyed, we were a little less surprised. At any rate, kid #3 is still short enough that he'll be needing a booster for a bit longer and kid #4 has just decided that she refuses to be the only one in a high chair--she wants to sit in a normal chair like the rest of us. "OK," I thought, "I suppose I can understand that" and I headed over to Amazon to get another Cooshee... "$50??!" Yes, that's right--a real, BabySmart brand Cooshie is about $50 which is quite a bit more than I had remembered or guessed it would be, seeing as it's essentially just a chunk of foam. I started to explore my options. I saw that on a certain online auction site, you could get a used Cooshie for about 1/2 that (at least, that was true when I was doing my searches), or for roughly the same price, I could get this "Prince Lionheart", Cooshee knock-off brand new here at Amazon. I went with my second choice-partly because I like Amazon and partly because I like new. Now I'm thinking I should have gone with the auction site (no negative reflections on Amazon--this is purely based on the product itself). Here's why... For those of you who like the short version, the Cooshee: 1) smells better 2) is more stable 3) feels better to the touch 4) is easier to clean For those of you who like details: So, yeah--the first thing I noticed when I took it out of its bag was that this thing smelled awful. Like chemicals. Holy cow! Fortunately, after washing it was warm, soapy water and leaving it out in the hot summer sun all day, *most* of the smell disappeared. Relief. I've attached 4 pictures to help illustrate my next points. Let's start with the one where we are looking at both seats side by side. It appears they are nearly identical in size and shape and, indeed, they are very close. A toddler sitting in either chair will be boosted about the same height and will have ample room for their little diapered bums to sit comfortably. Note that the texture of the chairs is different. I'll talk more about that later, too. Next, observe the picture of the underside of the chairs. Again, the size and shape looks very close. You can see that the Cooshee is a solid piece of foam with little "suction cups" cut into it for better "traction" on smooth chairs (and it actually works, too). Prince Lionheart decided to cut manufacturing costs by leaving a bunch of empty spaces--which is fine, it's stiff enough that it doesn't really need to be filled in. However, it is noteworthy that material is actually a bit slippery, so they had to put those orange dots on--that's where the friction is that will keep the booster from sliding off the host chair. I personally found those 3 pegs sufficient, but only just barely. I would have really liked it if they had doubled the number of those pegs for better stability. The next picture shows my hand squeezing the chairs. You can see that the Cooshee is more squishy than the PL is, but that both are at least a bit squishy. I don't know if that's really an important point or not--since the bottom of the Cooshee is solid foam, and since kids are so light, they aren't going to be *squishing* down into either one. HOWEVER, you can also see that the texture of the material is different. Both feel smooth, but the PL is much smoother (at least on the arm and back--the seat part is textured). You can't tell by looking at a picture, but it is also a bit slippery and leaves sort of a slippery residue on your hand if you touch it too much. I'm hoping that washes off over time, but I certainly don't like it for now. As I was mentioning before, the fact that the material the PL is made of is slippery means they have to add friction points to the bottom, but the Cooshee did not need to do that because although it is smooth, it isn't at all slippery. Which brings us to the last picture: the texture of the seating area. Obviously, a slippery chair would not be good for little kids to sit in, so they textured this thing up on the seat. Personally, I don't like the way it feels to touch, but just about as importantly, it's harder to clean. Little bits of food get mashed down into the texture and then it's very hard to get it back out. You can see some in the picture I've included. It's been scrubbed with a dishrag, but I think we'll need a stiff-bristle brush to get that out. The Cooshee Classic is clearly a superior product and arguably worth the extra cost. NOTE, however, that BabySmart doesn't appear to sell Cooshee Classic anymore--they have changed the design to the "Hybak" model. I don't know if this new model is as good as (or better than) the classic--hopefully someone else can fill us in there. However, if you're on a budget, the PL is probably good enough, though I'd recommend that you first check that auction site and see if you can't get a used Cooshee Classic, instead.
