After years of hoarding patches with hopes of putting them on my backpack, I found Badge Magic and had them mounted in less than 30 minutes. I had originally tried to sew them on, but the double layered backpack with internal zippered pockets made it almost impossible. Not wanting to use glue, I ordered a piece of Badge Magic and gave it a try. The badges are secured quite well, but if you forcefully try to peel them off, they will peel. It does take considerable effort, so I have confidence they won't peel off from daily use. To install, just trace the badge on the paper and cut it out. The paper printed side can be difficult to get your fingernail under to start peeling it off. Once you have one side removed, line it up and press it firmly onto the back of the patch, then remove the remaining side and very firmly press it onto the surface. Work it over with your hands, pushing down on all areas of the patch. You can probably get about 12 standard sized patches out of one sheet.

I have 3 daughters in Girl Scouts, which means there are a lot of patches in my life. Those lovely iron on patches just don’t iron on, which has left me sewing on patch after patch, and replacing sewing machine needles after they break from the thickness of some patches. My youngest daughter just got a sample of this Badge Magic....and guess what....it really is Magic! Voila, I trace, cut peel and attach, and they stick. I have yet to wash the uniforms since I’ve started using Badge Magic, so I cannot speak for washing yet. I’ll update my review if I lose any patches or if they get loose in the washing machine. For now, I’m a happy mom, because I don’t have to watch their uniforms like a hawk waiting for patches to fall off, nor do I have to drag out my sewing machine every time they earn a new one. I also think the price is very reasonable, a $10 sheet saves me HOURS of time & frustration!

My daughter has been a girl scout for 3 years. I can hand sew and have dont this for a few of her badges. It isn't easy and does not look the best. Some badges are iron on which I can tell you from experience fall off. ( I know they fall off because once I ironed one in the wrong spot and I was able to pull it off the vest pretty easily to fix. Enter the magic of badge magic. Trace, adhere, press to vest with the handle of the scissors. Easy peasy. No ironing or sewing. I usually save the scraps from my tracing pieces as they can be used for smaller badges. Badge magic is a pricier product but I feel it is definitely worth it for the quality and time savings.

A friend of mine made me a beautiful badge/patch using some of my artwork and I wanted to put it on my coat without having to stitch it into place. This worked perfectly. It's been months, the jacket has been washed a few times, and it's still firmly adhered. The adhesive is thin and doesn't bulk out the area it's used. It's been more secure than the iron-on adhesive on some patches. My patch hasn't come up at the edges. Happily recommending it to friends.

I bought these after hearing about them from a friend. I backpack a lot for fun, and one of the ways I like to commemorate my travels is by getting a patch of the flag from the country I went to. I was able to quickly and painlessly stick these patches onto my backpack (Nylon). They seem secure even after going through rain and rough terrain. I would highly recommend it.

I didn’t dislike anything about this product. I used it to attach my daughter’s Girl Scout badges to her vest. It is extremely simple to use. It’s 100% better than trying to iron-on badges or sewing them to the vest. It’s actually kind of fun to cut out the badges on this. This is much faster, and it really works. Those badges will not come off unless you want them off. The instructions state that if you dry clean the garment all of the badges will fall off. But who ever dry cleans a Girl Scout vest? This is truly a huge time saver. I also used it to use it to hem some of my pants. And I used it while making my daughter’s Halloween costume. There are so many ways to use this product. It truly is magic and a life saver if you need to attach a bunch of badges to some garment.

It really does stick things well. I use it to put merit badges on my scout's sash. I also use it to adhere patches to the official uniform shirt, and haven't had the need to sew anything on. Have put the garment I used it for through the washer and dryer several times, and the patches stay stuck right in place! Had to remove a patch, which was a pain in the butt. Had to use "goo gone" (as is recommended by the makers of badge Magic.) Even with Goo gone, it was difficult to get the patch removed. I know when I put on a patch with this stuff, it is going to stay until I take it off.

Badge Magic isn't cheap, but it's necessary if you have many badges to affix, like I did with my daughter's Brownie (and now Daisy) vest. It takes a little getting used to and a steady hand with the scissors, but once you have it down Badge Magic will make you wish you had discovered it sooner. It basically affixes badges to clothing without the need for ironing or sewing, two things I dislike doing. So far I've found that the Brownie vest and all its badges wash up quite well in the laundry, and none of the badges have dislodged. This is a must have for the parent who can't sew and for badges that claim to be iron on but are clearly not. Badge Magic definitely has been a major time saver for me.

I needed to put a patch on my nursing school uniform but didn't want to have to fight to sew it on or pay to have it done. I found this solution and was skeptical at first but so far this has been the best solution yet. I have yet to wash it, which will truly test its efficiency, but I have a feeling it will hold up well. I think what helps is that there was a plastic backing on the patch itself which will help hold onto the garment. My only qualm is that there was only one sheet.

My daughter's badges did not stay on well through a wash and I was getting annoyed breaking out the iron every time that happens. She needs her uniform every week! This badge adhesive was the perfect solution. Just cut out the size/shape you want and peel, press and ta-da! No more badge issues! She got 3 badges at once last time and I got stressed just looking at them....
