• Cleans almost all types of silver jewelry
  • Includes a basket for easily removing pieces left in solution
  • As all types of jewelry cleaners, this should not be used on pearls

I learned of this product through an eBay seller. I bought a hand made vermeil wire and fresh water pearl strand from her and unfortunately it had tarnished without having been worn more than a couple of times. I wrote to ask her if it could be salvaged and she recommended this cleaner. While she said it is not recommended for pearls she said she had used it successfully to restore such items. Hoping for the best I bought this and the same company's regular jewelry cleaner that is safe for pearls, thinking I would try that first. Well, the "safe for pearls" formula did nothing to remove the tarnish. Since I had paid a lot for this piece, and could not wear it, I figured why not try the "silver only" formula. Happy to say IT WORKED MIRACULOUSLY!!!. My beautiful necklace was saved. Emboldened by this, I decided to try it on a NOVICA Carnelian and Silver double strand necklace I have that was tarnished beyond recognition. Again, I figured since I couldn't wear it, what did I have to lose. Miraculously it did work. I am attaching before and after pictures of that piece. Wish I had taken a before on the pearl strand but did not but have provided the "after" shot to show the pearls were unblemished by it. I wish I could buy this stuff by the gallon for my sterling flatware. DO NOT SOAK, just dip and count as you dip, one, two, three. So just three dips at a half second each. Watch to tarnish melt away. Rinse and dry, better than new. No damage to the pearls or the carnelian beads. LOVE IT.

For silver jewelry, you will probably get better results using this cleaner than using a sonic jewelry cleaner. Soaking in the tray, provided in the container, for less than one minute removes really bad tarnish off of silver jewelry. Then just rinse with water and pat dry. When I saw how well this cleaning solution worked, I cleaned all of my silver jewelry. So I had nothing left to do before and after pictures with. Then I thought of an old tarnished tray I had put away as I couldn't remove the tarnish off of it in my previous attempts with a polishing cloth. So I used a toothbrush to scoop out some of the solution onto the silver tray and rub away the tarnish. Admittedly it took a little bit of time to clean the whole tray (about 15 minutes) but the tray now looks like new.

This worked amazingly! Cleaned several badly tarnished items with success. I'm impressed. I even used it on my Grandfathers handmade bracelet to my Grandmother with no concerns.

This stuff is so good that I cannot say enough about it! Again, it has saved me from dozens of hours of tedious hand-cleaning for several hundred of my hand-crafted, jewelry pieces while readying them for sale in multiple upcoming fall craft-fairs... Because I didn't want to do the spring or summer craft-fair circuit, several of my sterling silver pieces had "sat around" for months in their open-air display boards & cases where they became extremely tarnished and would have literally taken me no less than an entire week (or more) to hand polish them all back to their original beauty... Instead, yesterday, this product cleaned about 450 sets of earrings, necklaces, and bracelts within a single afternoon and not only did it faster, but did it FAR BETTER than hand-cleaning ever could besides! Pros: 1- It is FAST... I typically put 1 necklace or up to 4 earrings in together for about a count of 10 seconds... I suspect that it didn't need even "that long" to do the entire job because I pulled one out after only 2 seconds thinking I'd dropped in something else-- it was already tarnish-free! That's how FAST and how effective it is! 2- It works on even silver plate... I don't use a lot of silver plated metal in my designs, but I do use it for "price-point" designs to be able to offer some items at a lower price for those who love the designs but not the price tag of my higher-end pieces. Plated silver tarnishes the same as Sterling & fine silver so it must be cleaned sometimes too. The "normal way of cleaning plated pieces is by using the (terrific) polishing cloths and polishing the tarnish away... This method, however, reduces the life of a plated item significantly because to remove tarnish, it also rubs off some of the plating while cleaning it. So this is an amazing product because not only is it suitable for plated metal, but it actually works without reducing the "life" of the plated item... (yes, I tested it out by deliberately tarnishing and then cleaning a particular item I sell repeatedly to see how LONG it would stand up... It's been 35 cleanings and I cannot see any noticeable removal of the plating !! 3- It can be used on copper, silver, plated metal, brass and even jeweler's bronze! 4 - It appears to be safe on Swarovski crystals, Czech & regular glass, natural stone, fancy finishes including the "stardust" sometimes put onto silver beads. I would NOT use it on pearls, opals, or any delicate, porous stone-- the jar clearly says NOT TO and it would likely harm it. 5- It is cheap enough to use all the time, even for someone like me who needs it for thousands of pieces of jewelry & metal jewelry supplies on a regular basis. 6- It did NOT harm the glossy finish on my natural oak table when spilled on it. 7- It did not stain a white, cotton towel used with it. 8- It did not damage an artist's quality sheet of high-end, matting board when dripped all over it off of vinyl gloves... (it was diluted with water--- I cleaned it up quickly-- but there's no sign of any damage to the matting from the experience) 9- It rinses off quickly in water... 10- NO rubbing required at all! 11- There was no degree of tarnish that it did not immediately remove! 12- The 8 fluid ounce jar is likely enough to last for several years for the average person... Cons: 1- Once opened, the jar tends to leak a little if not closed VERY tightly (but then again, ALL of this type of product tend to do that... Make sure to remove ALL of the plastic seal from the edge of the jar so that the cover can reseal itself without any leftover plastic causing gaps that might allow a tiny bit of leakage if tipped over accidentally... (Learned THAT the hard way!) 2- The only other con I can think of is that the label says that you shouldn't use for "factory-antiqued" metals or it **might** take off the antiquing process... However, it's not really a "con" as THAT is really a given since antiquing is usually the process of deliberately tarnishing an item, which this is MADE to remove... --------- NOTE: *** However, for my own benefit, as I'm apt to accidentally toss something in that shouldn't be in without thinking, I wanted to know what might happen if I used it on one of them... So, to test it, I did an experiment with one item that was created from factory-antiqued copper with what I presume is a "permanent antiquing process (vs just being allowed to rapidly tarnish naturally)... I dropped it in for the usual time (about 10 seconds) and it did NOT remove the factory antiquing at all... It shined it up, but left it with ALL of the antiquing it came with. So, it IS safe to use on "factory-antiqued copper" done with a permanent antiquing process, or at least the kind I purchased from FMG... DO NOT assume that means that it will work on your stuff and remember, I ONLY did it with permanently factory-antiqued copper, NOT on silver... and not on an antique piece with NATURAL oxidation antiquing... If you don't want that to be removed, don't use this product for that item! ADDITIONAL NOTES: --- Wear vinyl gloves if you have an expensive manicure, that just makes sense! However, I accidentally tried it without gloves while wearing a set of those "acrylic, stick on French manicure nails" and it did NOT harm them in any way nor affect the glue that holds them on. Not sure if it is safe with salon applied acrylic nails rather than the stick on type, so test it out first! Or just wear vinyl gloves... --- I always used Connoisseurs brands and liked them, but this is BETTER and FASTER... --- This product is NOT meant for gold and probably wouldn't hurt diamonds, but it's not made FOR them either... For diamonds and gold, (and very dirty jewelry with built up, gunky stuff between prongs) I'd still reccommend "Connoisseurs jewelry cleansing gel and brush for travel or purse" (in the 5" long, red tube) as it is THE most amazing product for cleaning diamonds, gold, and dirty settings that I've ever used! --- BUY IT, you won't be sorry... !! (and NO, I'm not affiliated with the product in ANY shape or form, it's just THAT good... (-;

OMG!! I had tried to clean the Pandora charm bracelet and charms my future-mother-in-law had gotten for me with the whole "salt/Dawn dish soap/baking soda" cleaner I've seen all over Pinterest. Almost died of shock when everything came out HORRIBLY tarnished. One of the all-silver charms was almost BLACK. I was devastated. So I decided to give this a shot in hopes of saving them. Popped the whole thing in, let it sit while I washed my hands, pulled it out... SPARKLING PERFECT SILVER AGAIN. I had to sit down and write a review immediately!! I almost wish I had taken a before and after picture. The only downside is it smells horrible. My hands still stink after washing them. But who cares?!?! My treasured bracelet is saved!!! Could not be happier with this fast-acting, life saving, stinky product!!!!! :-D

This stuff its amazing! I cleaned all my jewelry in under 20 minutes. I read a review that said this stuff doesn't work and that it ruined a watch, I believed they left the watch in the liquid for too long, when I tell you it's 5 seconds, it's 5 seconds, if you leave the jewelry for more than that, It will be ruined.. this stuff works wonders. Also, the smell is awful. smells like rotten eggs! but it works! I had bought a bunch of ALEX AND ANI bracelets that are cooper and after a little while they look awful, I was very disappointed because each bracelet is about $35. I have like 10 or 12... you do the math. So i said what the hell I'm throwing them away anyways! i submerged them for 5 seconds and MAGIC!! for the silver and gold tone ones as well. Hope this helps.

Holy cow - this stuff is magical!!! When it says a few seconds - they are not kidding. I could not BELIEVE the difference in my bracelet. I don't know how this works, but I'm very very happy I bought this product. I wear my silver bracelet ALL the time, even shower with it and go to the beach. It basically does not come off my body. All I have to do about once every 2 months is put it in this liquid for a few seconds and I have a brand new bracelet!!!

I originally purchased a different product that was useless on silver even though it was marketed as such. Decided to try this and WOW!!!!! It literally worked in seconds and was so efficient, I cleaned every piece of silver I owned because I was so amazed. Attached a picture of 2 necklaces that myself and my daughter each have. They were equally tarnished but you can see the amazing difference following the use of this stuff. I will never use anything else!! Stuff is awesome!!!

I'm very impressed with this cleaner. After reading the reviews that listed some unpleasant side-effects, I was sure to only try it out on jewelry that was either going to be cleaned or junked - nothing sentimental or expensive. It's not perfect, but it's a hell of a lot better than expected. A few pieces took seconds to look new again, and some of the more tarnished pieces needed 15-20 seconds. I did have a few pieces that yellowed just slightly after use - for the earrings (pictured), I was able to wipe the yellow away with a dry cloth, but the necklace is stripped to the base metal (which I think it was beforehand, to be fair - it's just cheap, plated stuff). One of the bangles (pictured) has a SLIGHT yellow tint now (and a few faint spots that remain), but it's been sitting in a jewelry drawer for years, and it was almost black before cleaning, so I'm not terribly concerned. With everything else, it went from hazy or black to a bright, clear silver tone. Now that everything is clean, I'm using Alchemy Jewelry Spray to coat them and (hopefully) prevent further tarnishing and skin discoloration. This is an excellent investment for only a few bucks, just be aware that it's not a miracle potion: it can't guarantee that all plated jewelry is going to look like new, expensive silver at the end, but for a lot of it, it will do just that!

I had some highly tarnished silver jewelry, and this product shined it right back up. I would recommend wearing plastic gloves when using it for those of you with sensitive skin. My fingers were a bit itchy after dipping. You might also want to consider rinsing your jewelry afterwards to get the smell of the product off. None of my jewelry was ruined after using this cleaner. It works great. I will keep using it.
