The temperature, comfort and looks

I love, love, love it! It took me 2 weeks of looking and researching over 20 saunas before I decided on this one and I'm glad I did! The delivery came on time, (10/2/2018) and the delivery guys brought it into my home (not curbside), 3 pallets all securely packed. My husband (73yrs old) and nephew took them to the basement and assembled it. Everything was marked so it was easy to assemble in about 1 hour. the hardware was neatly packaged with everything needed to assemble. Once I turned it on it took 10 minutes to heat to 100 degrees and about fifteen minuses to reach 123 degrees. I was kind of disappointed it did not reach 130 degrees after an additional 15 minutes. I noticed the floor panel and back panels were not heating up. After checking my husband realized the panels were not plugged. After he determined and plugged the panels up in less then 10 minutes the temperature was 140 degrees. After I was in the sauna 5 minutes I was sweating like a hog over a hot pit! The next day I turned it on it was 138 degrees in 15 minutes! in 17 minutes 140! The sound systems is great, and the lighting is great! 5 STARS!! Spacious enough to seat 2 medium built people. However when my daughter joined me last night who is 2 1/2 my size (I'm 140) we still had room! lol! I have spent 1 hour at one time and my towel was drenched with sweat. It is a beautiful additional to my woman cave, even though the picture made it look like darker wood it is almost a blonde wood. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this sauna to my family and friends.

HIghly Recommend This Sauna

First of all, I've never written a product review on Amazon, but felt compelled to do so for this Sauna. It's fantastic and I highly recommend it. Having been recently diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer, I needed to find a good sauna for my detoxification therapy. I researched the various types available and thoroughly read many reviews before deciding to buy this one. Allow me to explain the reasons for my 5 star rating. Delivery - The sauna arrived by semi-truck on the scheduled day. It was neatly and securely packaged in multiple boxes on a pallet, i.e. the manufacturer took care to properly package the sauna so that it would not get damaged in transit from China. Opening the boxes, all parts were labeled for easy identification. One complaint against the private carrier is that they sent one guy with a manual pallet truck to move this 400lb shipment. A friend and I had to help him push it from the truck to the garage. They should have at least told us this. Assembly - Place the base on the floor, set the back and 2 sides in place, snapping the latches together along the sides. This was very simple, and the latches aligned perfectly. Install 2 heater panels and the seat inside the sauna, then assemble the front panel to the sides snapping the latches together. Set the top in place, plug the cables together, add accessories inside the sauna and you're ready to go. Contrary to other saunas, this one has 4 of the heater panels pre-mounted, and all the wiring has plugs for simple connection. The wiring is neatly done (i.e. safe). Regarding the instructions for assembly and operation of the sauna, they are adequate. Operation - This sauna heats very quickly, going from 66 degrees F to 136 degrees F in approximately 25 minutes with the temperature set to 140 deg F. Once it reaches 140F (only a couple of more minutes), the controller cycles between 140F and 136F, swinging through this range every few minutes.. This is perfectly adequate to get you into a good sweat for the recommended 30 minute period. I don't know why other reviews have said it takes much longer to heat, but I can say that this unit, assembled properly, heats rapidly. Regarding the control panel, it is really convenient to have one on both the outside and inside. When the timer counts down to 1 minute, the alarm starts beeping. It's easy to stop the alarm by adding more time to the timer or simply pushing the Power Off button if you are done. The lights are LED and plenty bright enough for reading in the sauna, and again, it's nice to be able to control the lights from inside or outside the sauna. Suggested Improvements - I could have given this sauna only 4 stars because of what I will say in this section. However, I really love how well it works as a sauna, so these things are not deal breakers. First, the radio loses power when you disconnect the main power plug as recommended, so you lose preset stations that you may have set. Second, the backrests included with the sauna are very comfortable but they need a board added to the bottom edge to keep them in a slightly back-leaning direction. Otherwise, they tip forward against you when you lean back. I screwed a 3"W piece of wood to the bottom and that worked great. Third, I feel the magazine rack is unnecessary and out-dated. Instead, I fabricated a small L-shaped shelf to hold my tablet so that I can watch TV (over the wifi), Much more enjoyable and eliminates the need for listening to the radio. Lastly, the instructions that came with the multi-color light panel and the ionizer leave a lot to be desired. They should improve on them. If you are trying to decide between the 1 person and 2 person sauna, I definitely recommend the 2 person. While I use it alone, it's nice to have the extra room to shift around and towel myself off while sweating. Lastly, the sauna looks really nice and can be placed in a room like a piece of furniture. We put ours in the corner of the guest bedroom (see attached picture.) Also, notice that the front door is all glass and the sides have side light glass. This eliminates that feeling of sitting inside a box that you may get with other saunas.

Definitely 5 or even more stars! Easy enough to install for such a product of that size and features. You just have to make sure that before you engage in an installation step you carefully look at the related picture. I had the occasion to deal with customer support. No problem, they sent me the replacement part. You can count on them. As for using the product, just how well I feel after a 30mn session at 130F reminds me that I made the right decision in buying this product. There is no way I could exercise to the point where I would release so many toxins by sweating, and in a so short amount of time! I wanted to complete my review of this sauna now that I have used it for quite a while. I try to use it at least four times a week at 130F and + for 30 mn; for that I have the temperature setpoint at 140F and start the 30 mn count down when it reaches 130. Drinking water and toweling during the session are essential. I think that water should be at ambient temperature with no ice because ice would defeat the purpose of the sauna session and limit its benefits. These are personal but not expert opinions or recommendations on how to use this sauna. I'm so glad I bought this sauna and I confirm the 5+ stars.

Feeling good

We did a lot of research, shopping and comparisons before buying this unit. Based on our findings and recommendations received, we knew we wanted a unit made of hemlock wood and carbon heaters. We finally picked this sauna. We were not disappointed. The unit is the perfect size and provides the added "bells and whistles" - inside and outside lighting, colored mood lighting, controls on the inside and outside, AM/FM/auxillary sound system and back rests. We couldn't be more pleased with our purchase. BW Products communicated with us about the shipping schaumburg schedule and it was delivered safely and on schedule via UPS. It took my husband 3 hours to put it together with no problems and we were relaxing and enjoying the unit. We are completely satisfied and believe we have exactly what we wanted for less money than we had originally anticipated. We could have gone through a commercial retail store but it would have cost more and not provided all of the amenities. Based on the benefits of a dry sauna and our experience with this purchase, we are totally rested and satisfied!

I am glad I did

I bought this sauna based on price and the reviews. I am glad I did. The sauna performs as advertised. It heats to 140 degrees in 20 to 45 minutes depending on the room temperature it is in. Maintains heat. The assembly wa not well documented but intuitive enough so that it could be installed without too much frustration. I am 71 yrs. old and put it together with some effort in about 2 1/2 hours. The effects of use are so beneficial. The muscle relaxation,stress relief,bloat reduction make this a no brained of a purchase. One thing I noticed after about 3 weeks of usage.is reduction of joint pain. My knees have not felt this good since I can’t remember. One last thing, it says curb delivery , but the driver gladly placed the large pallet in my garage.

Awesome deal. Easy to assemble! I assembled mine in about an hour. Shipping was solid no dings. For the money this sauna can't be beat. Reaches 140 degrees in around 20 minutes. Follow-up: after having this sauna for a year I am still very pleased with its performance. I moved it from a second story room in a townhouse into a second story bedroom in a new house and it disassembled, transported and reassembled beautifully. The only caveat being that I recommend taping the glass door because if you are carrying it by yourself and are not careful the door may open and it is really heavy, so it will shift the weight dramatically and could cause a drop. Other than that I have had no issues. That issue was my negligence. I would like to respond to some of the negative reviews: There are two I want to assist with in particular. 1. The lady who gave a one star ⭐️ because of cleaning being an issue; I recommend using a steam cleaner. I have a McCulloch steam cleaner that works great on those floor elements. The cleaner evaporates the sweat spots and the pressure is strong enough to blow any debris out. 2. The review about it taking too long to heat up. This sounds like a defective component and I'm sure there is a warranty to exercise in this situation.

Great Product

I absolutely hate to write reviews unless something is wrong,but this product is awesome(at least for now) . It was Packed extremely well,and everything fit as it should. There maybe a few miss aligned areas,but overall it seemed to be of high quality and extremely easy to put together. I turned it on and it came up to temp.(130) in about thirty min. Everything worked as it should, including the radio, which is way better than most. I highly recommend this brand. I had looked at quite a few and decided on this one because of the shipping and completeness of in factory assembly It really cut down on the guesswork during onsite assembly. Overall Awesome!

Truth in advertising.

Had the chance to use the Sauna several times since I got it and really love it. The video that describes their product and the assembly process is very accurate. I put it together with no help until setting the top in place where my wife helped push the three plugs thru the holes. Heats up to 140 deg and maintains that temp. I did notice on one usage that the temp only got up to 126 and wouldn't move past that point. Then realized that I had left the vent open. When I closed the vent it went on to the 140 mark. Radio has a USB slot and I can download Music playlist from my PC media player to a USB stick and if works great. Can't think of anything I would do to improve it.

Blue Wave Radiant 2 person 6 carbon heaters Hemlock Sauna Model # BSA2409

Very very happy, I had one before but left it in the exercise room when we sold the farm. I did quite a bit of research, I knew what I wanted and the size. I found this one that has everything I could ever think of. I have room to sit sideways and rest on the backrest in a comfortable position, (Just can't lay down. I'm 5'4".) It was shipped and delivered within 5 days. It took ONE hour to get it off the trailer and carry the pieces to the place I wanted it. The next day my husband and I put it together. It took about 20 minutes to get the walls up then with the roof and all the little things, ( towel bar, magazine rack, 2 cup holders, CD/Radio/ mp3 port, therapy lights, Oxygen ionizer and air vents for fresher air and 2 back rests it took a total of 2 hours.( but we are in our 60's and 70's so we not as fast, LOL) I relaxed in it already last night making sure everything worked. Worked wonderful! It was 70 degrees in my room and it heated up to 132 in 25 minutes. I let it go to 140 and wow I sweat, (My last sauna used to reach 130 and then as soon as it reached 130 it turned off and began going down in temp. I never like that as I was resetting it 2 and 3 times.) This sauna reaches up to 140 and what ever you set it too it will stay at that temp until your timer shuts off Then begins to lower the temp. When your sauna comes it is a radiant sauna but the manufacturer is Blue Wave. I panicked that they send the wrong one.( One tiny thing I ordered this from Amazon on Nov 3, shipped Nov 4th and that night the priced was reduced to by $127.27. It was $1275.26 and reduced to $1147.99. I will be contacting Amazon to see how I can be reimbursed. However I love love love my SAUNA.
