Fixed vibrations

Given the price and what this product can do, there’s absolutely no reason not to buy it. I used this on my 2006 GMC Sierra 1500 2WD 4.8L. My original mount looked ok but it had cracking that was very hard to see unless you took it out. I opted to go with an Energy Suspension trans mount at first, but it was way too rough because it’s made of polyurethane. If you’re doing normal driving and want a quality ride, stick with the original material which is rubber. It should last you 10 years at least. Anyways, this mount fixed all my vibrations that I was feeling from the engine, transmission and driveline. Couldn’t be happier. Tip: If you haven’t replaced the trans mount before, make sure when you’re installing the new one to install the two trans bolts first while the trans is jacked up before you install the nut to the stud. You’ll never get it to line up correctly. Raise the trans up and install the mount to the two trans hole first then lower it down into the crossmember slot.

After having the transmission in my Trans Am WS6 rebuilt many years ago (100k+ miles ago) I needed a mount that would take the vibration out of my ride and still hold up ok. The racing mounts vibrate the car something fierce. This car being my daily driver - I didn't want that. I tried all kinds of auto parts store models and they all failed within a couple months. These DEA's were recommended by the transmission shop so I purchased one. A year later it broke. That was a record for this car. I ordered up 6 more and keep them on stock. since they are so cheap and durable. The rebuild was high performance and the car shifts very hard with all the upgrades the transmission shop put in it. These mounts hold up for me. When if one breaks, it takes 30 minutes to install a new one. Nice to have on hand.

Fits 2004 Tahoe

Old one was toast, this one mounted right up pretty easy. Just jack up the transmission high enough to get the old one out and new one in. There is enough play in the drivetrain to do this without disassembling anything. Pretty easy change out.
