Works great. Big improvement over the stock one. Pay no attention to the comments about it being too short. They did not read the instructions. You are supposed to adjust the bracket that attaches to the tie rod to center the steering stabilizer. The directions mention this in steps 12,14 & 15.

I installed this stabilizer on my 2007 JK Sahara Wrangler with 115,000 miles on it. I have a 2.5" lift kit and larger 33" tires on the rig since about 10,000 miles. I was experiencing death wobble that seemed to be showing itself more and more as time went on. So I did the front track bar bolt replacement (to larger bolts, no drilling required!), search for "Jeep Wrangler JK Track Bar Bolt Suspension Upgrade Kit" on Amazon. That fixed the death wobble but I still had pretty bad bump steer on the roads, the worse case being between about 40 and 50 mph. Once I got the old factory stabilizer shock off, I quickly figured out the factory one was shot!! It looked fine but once off the Jeep I could feel that the resistance / damping was not there with any significance, I think the fluid was mostly gone inside the shock is how it felt. The Teraflex was firm throughout the stroke and I could tell before I installed it that this was going to make a difference. Since I have a 2007 Wrangler, I followed the directions and removed 1.5" from the dust cover. This was easy enough to do by marking with painter's tape and then using a utility knife to cut it off. I also used the painters tape along the body of the shock so I could mark the extremes and find the center for proper installation. My Jeep did not need the tie rod bracket to be modified / shaved in any manner. I did move the bracket more towards the passenger side by about 1" to accommodate the center point of the new Teraflex shock. No big deal, that is in my case 4 nuts that a 13mm socket easily loosens up. I took my time with this and the time for the install was about 1.5 hours. The steering quality over bumps on the road now is so much better!! Thanks for a great product Teraflex!!

Installed this on my 2014 Jeep JK and reused factory hardware. Install took 5 min with end wrenches and 3/8" impact and woble knuckle adapter. Then drivability was greatly improved! I'm on 35x12.50 tires and the stock stabilizer had me all over the road. This fixed my issue and makes driving my jk pleasurable again. Best bang for buck mod yet! And the fact it took so little time to make such a difference is impressive! Recommending this to my jk friends.

I have a 2012 Jeep Sahara Unlimted, 100% factory, no mods, low mileage for the age of the vehicle (60K in 8 years)., mostly highway. Started to get the infamous Jeep Death Wobble about 3-4 years ago and it progressively got worse. Would avoid roads I did not normally go on to avoid a pothole or bump that sent the Jeep into the wobble where the front end feels like it is going to fall off untill you lower rate of speed to under 20 mph. No big deal until you are on highway and fear someone is going to rear end you at 60 mph as you slow down to stop the vibration of the fixed axle. Made complaint to NHTSA and Fiat Chrysler, they act like not an issue, just google "Death Wobble" #1 search result. Bought this part, incredibly easy to install, took about 45 mins, needed a 15 and 18 mm wrench and a white marker to mark the steering maximum stops to ensure I did not exceed them. No lift needed. Easy fix. Best $40 I have spent in years. In two months, have not had an issue, even intentionally hit potholes to see if resonance starts but it does not. All I can say is that shame on FCA for not fixing this or recalling thsi obvious safety issue. But for $40 and a 45 mins, you can do yourself.

For 2007-2009 JK Wranglers, Step #3 instructs you to mark the travel limits of the shock. Step #4 instructs you to cut 1.5" from the edge of the dust shield. This is for allowing clearance on the support bracket on the axle side. Actually, these 2 steps need to be reversed! It didn't dawn on me until I was testing the travel limits after installation! If you measure the travel limits BEFORE cutting the dust shield, your reference points will be 1.5" off, AFTER cutting the dust shield. Also, I used the 1/4" large washer on the tie rod side to allow for extra clearance from the U-bolts for the tie rod brackets. After re-adjusting for the 1.5" difference, the steering stabilizer looks and works great!

I had a small death wobble in my 04 TJ with a 4.5 inch lift running 33x12.5 tires. I checked the suspension and all seemed good so I started with the stabilizer. I liked the price and look of this one and the fact it had the shield over the arm. It went on with little effort and took maybe 30 minutes including getting tools and then cleaning up. It has really improved the drive and I have not had another death wobble. I think with time I didn't realize how bad it started to drive but can certainly feel how much better it does now with this new stabilizer. In the box was everything I needed and going on the TJ it basically bolts right in. All the needed parts were included and the instructions were easy enough to follow.

Easy install and I suggest checking out the YouTube video as you may need to adjust the end that attaches to your sway bar. Also an easy adjustment. I can tell a difference as my jeep drives smoother on highway and dirt roads, I am not fighting the steering wheel any longer. I believe this is the most upgrade you will need unless you have some death wobble... you will need to look into your jeeps geometry if you have death wobble.

Had to fight my frame side connection pont to install the bushing seemed about. 1/4" too thick ( i pryed the opening with a pry bar to fit) the upper connection point was easier even with having ruffstuffs 1 ton steering and and non traditional install point... Note i did not buy this to try to eliminate death wobble. My old stabilizer has seen over 100000 miles and was on there when i bought the jeep.

Installed 2012 Jeep Jk Unlimited 4door. No issues installed clears easy from stock near tire so no adjustment required from center bolt. Alignment still center, guess I’ll know how it lasts in the coming 40K miles right? Also, they shipped this Next Day and I didn’t even expect to get it standard 1 week.

Installed this on a 98 Jeep Cherokee. Installation was a piece of cake and went without a hitch. Great product and would buy again when need to. Got rid of the wobble, which is what I was looking for. My Rancho unit was shot.
