it is easy to assemble
If you level the ground where it is to be placed, I built a floor for it to sit on, it is easy to assemble. As far as the "3 hour" assembly time it took me longer and I had all the prep done prior to its arrival. The storage unit is attractive, sturdy and looks like it will last many years.

Practical & cute addition to our backyard!
Two of us were able to put this together in an afternoon! (Wish we could have said THAT for our daughter's very complicated shed that had been taken apart & put back together several times). This Suncast shed came perfectly packaged (2 very heavy boxes), on time and had all the parts & pieces required to easily put it together. The secret is in the "foundation". If it's level you'll have absolutely no trouble putting it up. We've added a couple of Steralite shelving units and we're ready to "fill 'r up"! We'd definitely recommend this shed.

Great shed
As the other reviews said, it is critical that the base is level. I made mine out of 16"X16" pavers and it worked great. Also, when assembling the roof portion leave the nuts a little loose until the whole thing is assembled. I did this and there was still quite a bit of pressure that needed to be put on the shed in order for some of the roof holes to line up (you do need 2 people for this portion). But in the end, they did and there are absolutely no gaps and it is water tight. The shed is also not a flimsy as I had expected from the other reviews. Would definitely recommend.

very nice shed
the shed arrived in 2 boxes, well packed, instructions could be better but not too bad, suggest Suncast create a video online for quick reference. It took about 7 hours to put together. It took about 3 hours for the pre assembly and unpacking from the shipping boxes. Then another 3 1/2 - 4 hours to put the shed together. Looks nice. It seems like Suncast should have some of the pre-assembly done instead of the customer doing it. Like the window seals and screen.

Great storage shed
Great storage shed that exceeded my expectations. It took several hours to assemble, but I tend to be very slow and methodical, so the time I took is not indicative of any quality or directions problem. It came shipped in two boxes strapped to a pallet. My only complaint is you have to open both boxes in order to begin assembling the shed, and the boxes are HEAVY!

Perfect for us.
Perfect! My husband and I put this together, it took a few hours, but well worth the time. We read and used the directions as guidelines, we modified the order as we progress through the building process to fit your needs. Since it's been up we've had several bad rain storms and there is no water inside the shed. I built the foundation with pavers instead of solid concrete or wood and it worked perfectly because once we got the floor together and started on the walls we needed to be able to move the shed to get to the last three roof pieces installed (which in this picture are the ones on the left side) as that was the side against the house. Had we secured the shed to the foundation as per directions, we would never have been able to secure the middle left roof piece. We've secured the shed with tiedowns and weights as precautionary measures in anticipation of our winter and upcoming tornado season. This too was relatively easy to do in little time. The only negative is that of the doors. No matter what I try I can not get the handles to line up evenly. The doors close securely and tight so it has to be that the drill holes for the handles aren't drilled evenly. But this is minor - I'm probably the only one who notices as I'm the one using it daily.

A sturdy, level base is a MUST however
Although the panels can be somewhat difficult to assemble, (roof panels, especially), I assembled it with no additional help in 6+ hours. A sturdy, level base is a MUST however, since the floors panels are quite flexible. One improvement would be to frame the insect screen for the vents, as the screen tears easily when held in place only by the screws.

Best. Shed. Ever.
This shed is absolutely amazing. Went up with two people in a matter of a few hours and very easy to put together. Very sturdy as well. I live in El Paso and we get some pretty strong wind storms. Last week we had one such storm and no issues whatsoever. And that's without even anchoring. The shed sits on a concrete slab in my back yard. For the price (which is well below that of similar sheds found at Lowe's or Home Depot), you definitely can't beat this one

We Love Our Little Shed!
Well, half a day to build the foundation (YOU REALLY NEED TO INCLUDE IN THE DESCRIPTION OF THIS PRODUCT THAT YOU MIGHT SPEND UP TO $200 FOR A FOUNDATION), half a day for husband to complete "preassembly" in our warm and dry garage, then seven hours in the snow, rain and sunshine (and mud), our shed is done, and we love it! We began with laying concrete blocks in four corners (leveling as we went) then carrying out of the garage and placing our prebuilt foundation (still level, hooray). Due to the snow, then rain, we put our 10x10 awning over the placement site. The shed went together fairly easily. We were very glad that the preassembly was done. There were a few mislabeled screws and we did have to drill out two truss holes, but all in all, for two pretty basic DIYers, we were quite proud of ourselves. Now, our biggest problem was that when we put the doors on, they would not close. Though the foundation was level, apparently the entire shed was slightly askew. We figured out that the she'd needed to be boosted on one side. We were able to slip a hunk of rock under one side, which fixed the problem! Now I'm excited to make it "cute" with pavers around, pots of flowers, etc. We live in the mountains of Oregon where temps dip below zero often, we get snowed in regularly, and the wind howls. It will be interesting to see how our shed holds up!

A good investment
I knew what the dimensions were on paper, but the reality is that this storage shed is Large. Two crates arrived and after opening the two boxes, I realized how well organized it was. The packaging was solid, no damage. The instructions were clear and systematic. I completed the sub-assemblies on day one. The shed came together on day two. Go get some heavy duty plywood to cover the floor. Excellent Quality & materials, everything fit together well, the sky lights are awesome and the doors fit just fine. I'm using the shed for storage and as a little workshop. - Two people on this project would be ideal. It drizzled the first night and it was dry.. Great value & Quality
