Beautiful little table

Beautiful little table! I live in a small 1 bedroom apartment and this is perfect. There are two flaps on the table that fold down to make it smaller. I'm a big girl and the chairs hold my weight... they feel very sturdy and I don't feel like I'm going to break it. Could probably hold up to a 300lb person no problem. Shipping was pretty slow but I knew it would be when I bought it so thats not a problem. Took me about 3 hours to put it together on my own. Solid wood, sturdy, great buy!! Thanks!

Good piece for a small apartment; easy to assemble.

Great little set!

Perfect for 1 or 2 people. Ideal for smaller rooms or apartments. Best off how often do you get to combine real wood, sturdy and budget together! I have a small studio apartment and this set fits in perfect. Even with the 2 leaves down there's plenty of room for 2 to have a meal. Comes with everything you need to put it together except a philips head screwdriver for the seat cushions. Took about 1 hour to put together by myself. First chair was a little tricky and the second was a breeze. Looking at the chairs you might not think they are sturdy but the whole set is! I currently weigh 255 and these chairs have no problem with my weight. I also knew that this would take a bit longer to get delivered. I was pleasantly surprised to have it arrive a little sooner. Even if it didn't it is worth the wait! Like I said it's solid but not heavy. Best $140 I've spent on furniture!

Love this little table!

Great table! Just as it looks in the picture. The table is very sturdy! I'm not a wood expert at all, but I know this this is heavy for its size (it's not a heavy table, it's just not light and "fake" feeling). That tells me it is solid wood and not particle/press board. The chairs, on the other hand, are very light. I like it because when I need to grab a chair to stand on, these are the ones I go for because they're easy to transport and are sturdy and reliable also easy to pull out from the table. I want to repeat that this table is very sturdy and solid. Assembly mainly involved the chairs as the table only required me to attach the legs, but the chairs might as well be in a million pieces (I know, I exaggerate). I think the instructions said to have someone help you when assembling the chairs, because I had to like hold the right side of the chair and hold on to the piece that i was attaching to that right side and I had to hold the screwdriver. It was a little bit of a juggling act, but I got it, and I do love the finished product!

Set is PERFECT for our small NYC apartment! This set is exactly what I was looking for. The color is true to the picture (and matches the wood in the rest of my kitchen). Contrary to other reviews I've read, assembly was a breeze. 30 minutes to assemble both chairs and table legs. Would ABSOLUTELY recommend if you're looking for a nice, small set!

Have been using this for one day now. I can say: -Chairs and Table are sturdy. -Shipping weight was over 50 lbs. It seems to be real wood, not compressed particle stuff. -Bigger than I was expecting. I'm 6'4" and the chairs are small, but not too bad. -Seat is 16.5" tall (to the padded seat part). I couldn't find that dimension anywhere, however it seems to be just fine for me (6'4"). -Packaging took a while to open. No damage to the contents. -Table was easy: attach 4 legs with a washer, lock washer, and nut and you are done. -Chairs were more involved, a second person would have been useful, but nothing too difficult by myself. -Took me about an hour to an hour and a half to open and assemble. Probably about 20 minutes of that was opening the box. -Includes necessary tools, except a Phillips screw driver. The Nuts on the table seem to be a slightly non standard size and were precarious to torque down. -Chairs took more time, but was manageable for anyone who has a moderately mechanically inclined mind. -Finish is probably a little prone to scratching. -I would not recommend for more than 2 people. -Perfect for a small apartment. -GREAT Value. -Time will tell how it holds up. Will update if the table or chairs fail on me.

Nice coffe table for two

We do not have much furniture in our home as we believe in minilamism. We were looking for a coffee table for 2 (no kids yet). After going through a list of coffe tables available on Amazon, we selected this one based on design and reviews. It's been 2 years since we are using it. It was easy to assemble and the instruction were easy to follow. I assembled it fast without any help from my husband :). I have only tightened the screws 2-3 times in two years. We only use it for breakfast. It is still in very good condition. The chairs are very light weight, so I don't know if they will be able to take too much weight. I'm 109lbs and my husband is 130lbs and for us they work just fine. Attached photos are current, after using for 2 years.

Well made table for use as a small table for two

For the price, this is really a nice table set. Takes a while to assemble, but you end up with a very rigid set of chairs and a table. It's relatively small, but perfect for two people to use for coffee, etc, just as the picture shows. Some have complained that the chairs are 'flimsy'. Nope. Very strong, they hold me up and I'm no lightweight. There are also complaints that it's 'tiny'. Nope. It's exactly as big as it says, about 3'. I really wonder about some of the people that write reviews. Negatives: takes a fair amount of assembly, but the instructions are clear. Also, be aware that the table top is made from finger-jointed strips. You can see the joints faintly, but they aren't objectionable for the price. The finish is smooth and well done.

Wonderful & Smart Buy

This table is amazing. I am a 72 year old Widow with a hip problem. I ASSEMBLED the table and chair myself, ALL by myself. Was it difficult? Not really. It took me 4 hours from start to finish. I think that is a great record! I assembled the chairs first. That was a little tricky until I figured out how to hold everything up with my easy chair and pillows. I "thought" I was short 2 crucial bolts and lock things. But I didn't worry about it at the time cause I needed to assemble the table. Low and behold the hardware was there, just loose in the box! Thank goodness. The table was easy to assemble, maybe that's why instructions sorta suggested the table first. Anyway, one of the hardest things to figure out was the removal of black straps that were securely stabled to the underneath part of the table. Once I figured it out, it's easy. Get a pair of vice grips if you have them, otherwise a pair of pliers will do nicely, that's what I used. Vice grips might have made it easier. Anyway, grip both straps with the pliers and start twisting around and around. Eventually the staple will come out. One staple broke but I was able to gently tap the end into the underneath of the table. The table is very secure, doesn't shake. The chairs are also stable, however the chairs are a little short, even for me. I hope to find the things you put on the bottom of chairs to make them scoot easier, thus raising the chair at least 1/2". All in all, for the price, I love this table! So far NO Complaints on the quality. The packing was fantastic, well padded. Not marks, scratches, no dents, only nice looking wood. Oh, I figured out why the chairs appear to be short. You can have the leaf down and eat without the leaf being in your way. I love it! By the way, the chair seat is approx 18" from the floor to the top of the seat.

Fabulous

Easy to assemble, great quality for the price. I really love this table and chairs--and it's actually real wood, even better. It fits my small NYC apartment perfectly. The chairs will fit under either side of the table which was a consideration for me.
