It creates a nice uniform grinds and I'm very happy with it
I got this to replace a Cuisinart grinder that I had for years. At first I didn't care for the KitchenAid's round shape, but after using it for a month now, it's very well built and quieter than the Cuisinart. It creates a nice uniform grinds and I'm very happy with it.

I like good coffee
I grew up in San Francisco and lived in Seattle for a long time. In other words, I like good coffee! I know that there are coffee purists who will pooh pooh anything but a burr grinder, but frankly I can't tell the difference between a burr grinder and this one. I had a Cuisinart DCG-12BC that died after a year. Bought another one. Died. Enough of the Cuisinart brand. So I replaced it with this. And I'm super happy with it. It looks nice, but more importantly it does an excellent job of grinding coffee and doesn't spill everywhere when you dump out the grounds, which the Krups F203 does every single time. I've had mine a year, and it seems to be going strong. I'm buying another one for our other house.

A solid product from KitchenAid with an excellent price ($20)
I have only had this for a few weeks but I am very impressed with the quality. The product is very solid with a stainless steel bowl and blades. The top is made of heavy clear acrylic to view grind consistency. The stainless bowl locks in the base with a 1/4 turn. There are graduations on the bowl for 4,8,10 or 12 cups. The bowl and top are dishwasher safe. Dimensions are H: 8 3/4 W: 3 5/16, D; 4 1/4. With a 160 watt motor it has no problem grinding a full bowl of beans. As with my other KA products I expect to get years of service from this unit. For $20 this is a great buy. So far I have no complaints with this grinder.

Easy to use and clean
Easy to use and clean. The detachable cannister makes it easy to dump into a container versus others I've had to scoop it out of, which always makes a mess. Efficient at grinding. Doesn't take long to break down beans or dried herbs. I find the clear top convenient to make sure I don't over or under grind. Pretty satisfied with it so far, im hoping it lasts because I'm a fan.

Great for the price and did buy again after a year
My husband bought me one of these last year as well as a French press and I really like it so I bought my mother one this year. It is easy to use and easy to get the desired fineness depending on if you are using a press or pot. My only minor issue is that the “bowl” or whatever it is called is easy to take off and clean but the machine itself is not really that easy to clean, but it is great for the price. Obviously I would buy again and for my mother.

Incredible, especially for the price.
This grinder is everything I wanted in a blade grinder. The red matches my girlfriend's decor, which was very important to her. The grinder pulverizes coffee (about 7-9 seconds gets the perfect grind size for a french press), and best of all, the stainless steel housing that contains the blade is removable from the base. That was the most important feature to me while looking for a grinder. It is super easy to twist it off, give it a quick rinse, let it air dry for a couple of minutes, and replace. It's not necessary to do after every grind, but after 15-20 or so, I get rid of the old coffee dust. I could not be happier with this purchase. KitchenAid did not disappoint.

Even grind, stylish, and easy to clean!
If you read the reviews closely, you'll find that most of the negative ones are coming from people who for some reason thought that this would be suitable for grinding spices, which is not its purpose. This does great with whole coffee beans. Just a few seconds, and you've got a nice, even grind. Sometimes, depending on how much I'm doing at a time, there will be some whole beans that don't get mixed down toward the blade, but if I pulse the grinder just a couple times, they fall down just fine without having to pick up the grinder and shake it around like I have to with other grinders or blenders I've owned. The longer you run it, obviously some of the beans in the bottom will get a little more finely ground and pack down, but since the cup is removable, it's easy to take it out and tap it against a counter to jar them loose if you find you ran it too long. Easy to clean, and stylish to boot. I highly recommend this product.

A quality grinder
For kitchen items, there are only a handful brands I pick. KitchenAid is one of such brands. It represents quality. And their products are generally well-made. This coffee grinder is substantial in weight, unlike those light-weighted units. A major feature that I like is the removal of the grinding bowl. The last unit that I had did not have this feature, which made cleaning a little awkward. One feature (which I initially deemed was an issue) is the material of the removal bowl: its inside surface is not very smooth to touch. It appears and feels like it is made of aluminum, a metal I don't like. Just checked the product description on Amazon, the bowl is indeed stainless steel. Although the inside feels slightly rough to touch, the outside is smooth. I imagine this is a deliberate design to make the inside rough, thus creating some degree of resistance to stop the materials being grounded from just twirling around inside the bowl. As usual, I’m glad I picked this brand. Highly recommended!

Look no further, you have found your grinder!
Love the grinder! My fiance and I are baristas so coffee is a BIG deal in this household. We love the grind and while loud(shocking a loud grinder?!) the sound does not travel. We can grind coffee in the kitchen of our apartment and barely hear it in the bedroom, our neighbors appreciate this feature at 3am. My only complaint is that the grounds get really packed into the bottom so sometimes you have to mix it up to grind everything evenly. The grinder can do up to 12 cups I believe, but I stay around 8 to get a good grind. Looks nice, so if it gets left out on the counter it is not an eye sore at all! But, do not worry about having to find space for it! Small and easy to put in any cabinet!

Another Awesome KitchenAid Product
I purchased the onyx black grinder to use at work. It's so wonderful having a pot of freshly ground coffee everyday. The grinder itself it a breeze to use and even easier to clean. On the inside of the stainless steel cup (where the grinder blades are located), it has markings to indicate how much whole beans you need to make 4,6,8,10 and 12 cups of coffee. For the couple times I've used it, the markings have been pretty accurate for me (I use 1 tablespoon of finely ground coffee per two cups of water). When you're ready to clean your cup, all you do is twist it slightly and pull it out. Then I quickly rinse it out and place it in our drying rack, along with the rinsed out lid. Too easy! Overall, a really great product that I would recommend to others! I see myself getting many years use out of this product, but that is what you would expect from the Kitchen Aid brand! I store my whole coffee beans in an
