A saving grace for emptying our tank
We have had some trouble with our tank not emptying and decided to spend the few bucks on this... SO worth it! It is gross to watch the black tank empty, but it has SERIOUSLY helped us see when the tank needs to be filled with water and dumped again until the water comes out clean and our sensors read 1/4 (before we started using this new "system" of watching the black water - it ALWAYS reads 3/4 full). It also lets you clearly see when you have finished dumping (instead of listening for it), which is really convenient and easy. We also starting adding a capful of laundry detergent before dumping or in the clean rinse fill and that seems to be helping tremendously. ONE TIP: might seem very simple, but we didn't notice the gasket had come off in the box and it would not properly seal and leak all over the first time we used it. I suspected the gasket and rummaged through the box to find it, put it on and POOF! no more leaks!

Rhino 'Transparent' Fittings The Best
I love these 'transparent' black & waist water Rhinoflex fittings, I agree with a quote made by a video website, "if one can't stand the color and/or smell of black water as it flows through the drainage fittings and hose system one shouldn't own an RV!" Actually being able to see when the drainage system is clean is important, these new clear fittings make this a whole lot easier. I'm a snowbird here in southern Utah, this year my set up hasn't leaked one drop, I've sensed only the faintest of smells, my hat is off to the design, molding and manufacturing folks at RhinoFlex, I say "Thank You to you all."

A must for the RV traveler
We used to have a 90 degree clear sewer connector to assist in emptying the black and grey water tanks in our travel trailer. The idea was great, but the function was not so great because the 90 degree angle made some connections very difficult. We bought this 45 degree swiveling version and all our sewer hook-up problems went away. It's importand to be able to see what's comming out of your tanks and to know when they are truly empty when you can see for yourself that the flow has stopped and it's time to disconnect.

Should be in everyone’s starter kit
I did a lot of research on how the waste dumping works because that was my worst fear was how burdensome and gross the process would be. I learned best practice is to have this piece so you can see when the black tank flushing runs clear before you stop. So convenient and practical, but had I not done so much research then I wouldn’t have known and instead just used the standard solid one that came in my starter kit. I highly recommend this item and Camco products. I have the Camco RhinoFlex hose kit and just used it for the first time all by myself. Not that this is a negative on the product because it’s more rookie user error, but be very careful to check that all of the hooks are securely attached so the seal is completely on. I failed to notice one hook was not completely on so imagine my surprise when liquid came gushing out. Luckily, there was only liquid waste and I acted quickly to close the drain and didn’t end up with too much of a mess.

quality, very helpful accessory
this elbow is a great add on to my camper. It gives the hose a better alignment and less strain, and I can easily tell when I'm done emptying my tanks. It's very well built as are all the rhinoflex products and locks very positively, and is easy to rinse clean. the low cost means its a good value. It's also helpful when using my black tank flush system because I can run it until the water goes clear, indicating the flush is completed. Without the clear connector, I had to guess whether it was done or not.

I really love the clear plastic so I can see what's going ...
I bought this for my RV, because the hoses needed to fit through the hole where the tanks drain and I did not have the room to bend the hose, get it through the hole in the compartment and shut the door while at the RV park. This works really well for my situation. I have 2 RVs and bought one of these for each of them. I really love the clear plastic so I can see what's going on with the flow. I used this in an RV park that only had electric and water hookups at the campsite. I was able to bucket the gray water during the week so I didn't have to move the RV to the dump station. Being able to see the flow rate and when the gray water tank was getting close to empty was a real nice thing. I highly recommend this product.

"Clearly" allows you to better manage your work
Got this fitting to use between the dump on the camper and my Rhinoflex hose to allow me to better monitor what might still be draining. The swivel feature is nice because you can rotate to best match your direction to the drains. During a recent outing we had a bit of a clog in the tank and this adapter was essential to helping us figure out when the problem was fixed, AND more importantly continue to use the flush feature until the water was clear enough to be sure there wasn't anything left in the tank. Other reviewers posted concerns about leakage - based on our experience I think an extra twist on the fittings to ensure the o-rings are seated could help, and it may be necessary to periodically use the Camco Seal Conditioner. Also, if you're using Rhinoflex hoses, be sure that the fitting is tightly attached to the hose - give it a couple extra clicks preferably until you can click no more!

YeSSS, a true luxury.
This is not a must have, but a luxury item. That's right, luxury...and it saves your beer. No more frustration of having to go around the camper to bend over in order to see if the tanks are done emptying, only to notice that your tanks are still slowly draining and that you have spilled your beer while leaning over. This typically leads to a situation where you have to go and get another beer. Then you have to p. By the time you get a beer and go p, you remember to go check the hose again, only to spill your beer again and start the whole downward spiral again. Now, I can just stand there and drink my beer while enjoying the satisfaction of seeing those tanks empty out. Indeed, it is a luxury and this simple item is one of my faves.

A must have for any RV owner
This ranks right at the top of absolute must haves for an RV owner. A friend suggested that I get one for tank dumping and it makes sense as to why. It really helps with the process of dumping when you can monitor the progress. For as gross as it sounds, it helps to see what’s coming out of the tank. Really helps to keep a disgusting tank as clean as possible.

Wish i bought sooner.
After purchasing my camper this year and learning the ropes a little I wish I purchased this while we were actively camping to have a better idea what my black tank looks like. Saw some good videos on YouTube when researching how to properly winterize and immediately came over to amazon (my forever go to source for almost everything) and found this clear elbow. Definitely gives you an idea on what's going on in there. If you can't stomach what's inside your tank then you should probably just use your campground facilities. For the rest of us this is a great product. No leaking whatsoever and I just leave it hooked up with the sewer hose cap on the end of it for clean storage.
