Great control and rugged but light
This cart is very useful and rugged. In a few short weeks I have used it to haul dozens of loads around my property. It holds up well and is easy to steer and control. The handle/steering wheels turn completely around limited only by the handle being stopped by the rear wheels. This makes turning around in tight spaces easy. My kids are able to use it much easier than a wheelbarrow. It is light compared to what you'd expect, but this also means it is easy to tip. When you are going on hills it can tip over depending on how your load is situated. This isn't a design flaw, but I have lots of hills so I have to be extra watchful for this. The assembly instructions weren't the best, but it is so simple that it wasn't hard to get through them. The tires came properly inflated and I was able to put it together in less than 20 minutes.

Great cart, solid, easy assembly and excellent value
I had prepared myself to be disappointed, some Chinese cheapies are really crap and not worth the savings. But, this cart is excellent. Yes, maybe the instructions could be improved, but honestly the instructions were not necessary. There were only two nuts and bolts that were not pre-inserted where they belonged, and it everything was super obvious how it went together. Considering the price, I would say it is very well designed and built. How they can manufacture it, ship it from China to a reseller, and then have it sent Prime shipping to my house for only $61 is unbelievable. I really like the green color - very much like Chevrolets from the 1940's. It went together quickly and I honestly spent more time peeling the labels off of the wheels than assembling it. I added a few washers on the axles and there was one bolt that holds the wheel halves together that was stripped. Easy to replace, and otherwise a very solid cart. An 8 year old could assemble it (at least I could have when I was 8)

Life improving purchase
After reading reviews, I was nervous that I would receive a crappy quality wagon that would be too hard to put together. ....I dont know what the fuss is about. It took me longer to yell at my husband to find the tools that he didnt put away then it did for me to put this wagon together. Less than 2 mins to put everything on, and 10 mins to find two wrenches. While it is not the heaviest duty wagon, it'll be fine for my use. It's worth the price. If you need a wagon for frequent heavy loads- spend the money on a real one.

The comments about the poor instructions are spot on
I bought it and think it will serve me well. The comments about the poor instructions are spot on, but the reality is there are very few pieces that need to be put together and I figured it out. The key thing is to have a 7/8th inch wrench or a good adjustable wrench for the bottom parts. No tools come with the package, and that's fine. It was $62 for me. I ordered it on Sunday and got it on Wednesday for and with Amazon Prime I didn't pay anything more to ship a 40-pound package to my house.

We should have gotten this YEARS ago!!!!!
We do a lot of gardening and for years I dismissed the idea of some sort of garden cart because I knew how much those radio flyer ones with the big all terrain wheels cost and just never looked further. But this year in the middle of hauling rock around for redoing our garden beds, hubby tore a tendon in his wrist and we had to do something to allow me to pick up the slack - and I can't carry 50 lb bags of rock long distances! So I investigated options for a garden cart and was pleasantly surprised when I found one like this - so similar to the ones at the nursery, but with sides!! Drop down and removable sides - yay!!! I actually picked this one because it was available the fastest with 2 day prime shipping so we could continue our gardening before the real heat arrives. Design I LOVE the option for the drop down sides. It helped me a lot to unload bags after I had loaded and carted them to the proper place in the yard. They are so easy to use and also very easy to remove! They do clank on the wheels a bit if you just drop them down so if you need the cart as a flatbed, I would just take them off. The wheels are great on all terrain! Our yard is a bit of a mess while we work so it had to go over hoses, piles of pulled weeds - all sorts of uneven ground. Weight capacity I did not test the upper limits of the weight capacity. We loaded 250 lbs of bags of rock in it, but they likely weighed much more because they were also wet. No issues at all with the cart not being able to hold it so I know it could do more. The problem was - I can't pull more so that was as much as we tried. Assembly The instructions could use some work on this one. They did it in only a couple pictures with written steps below - but not a true step by step with photos. That would be OK except the pictures are way to small. And we are not older with any sort of eye issues - and we were still squinting to try to figure out what went where and with what parts. But we did manage it - just took a little longer than it could have. Smell - tires I've read some reviews that talk about the smell of the tires and I can attest - that is accurate. They really stink! Even when inside the box there was a smell - once we opened it, the smell was very strong! But once we assembled it, we took it outside and let it air out. Since we keep it outside the house and the smell dissipated after a couple days outdoors, I didn't have an issue. Overall, very pleased with this purchase! Wish we had researched and found this a few years ago! It will definitely get a lot of use in our household every year as we continue to improve on our garden beds!

Definitely worth the money
I'm sure it'll give me good service but the one shipped is not the one pictured. It didn't take any time at all to assemble. The wheels are wide apart, which is what I was looking for, for stability across grass and around turns. The mesh floor has a little bit of give to it but there are steel support strips underneath and a bit of a lip all the way around that would support adding a floor, if the need arose. I don't plan to haul anything more than groceries in it, anyway. I'm 62 with end stage cancer so I'm not a work horse anymore. This cart allows me to get the groceries from the car, through a gate and to the deck (about 25') with minimal effort. I would highly recommend one of these carts to save yourself strain and effort.

Great for yard work
I purchased this cart to use for outdoor gardening and yard work. The directions for assembly were not very clear - and the 3 main lock nuts are very large (too large for a standard ratchet set), so I had to tighten them by hand with a wrench*. The wheels stay on with a cotter pin and it would have been very helpful if the directions told you how to insert them because I did it the wrong way which caused the tires to come off immediately. Luckily my friend Dave knew the proper way to insert the cotter pins and then split them (see diagram B in attached photo)**. They need to include this simple diagram in the instructions! Overall the cart seems sturdy and I was able to use it to unload heavy garden stones out of my car across the yard to place around a tree. Also, Murphy approves which is an added bonus. *Dave actually did all of the tightening of the nuts **Dave is smarter than me

Really glad I bought this
So far I am very happy with this wagon, especially with the extremely reasonable price. I have to say that I am appreciative of all the people who have given such thoughtful and detailed reviews . Their reviews helped me decide to buy this thing, and what to expect. I know, I know, that's the whole point of the reviews, but still I appreciate the help. From the reviews I knew to expect it to smell bad at first-it really does! And I also knew that the smell would go away .It is diminishing . Because a couple of people said the box made a mess when they opened it, I was cautious and peeked inside first; I was prepared to put down a tarp to catch the detritus but it wasn't necessary. Maybe I was lucky, or maybe the manufacturer is responding to criticism . There were two thin sheets of styrofoam inside, one at each end of the box . They had crumbled a little so there were a few crumbs, but that was all . The side panels were separated by bubble wrap , and the handle and axles were sheathed in plastic . Any small parts that were not already attached were on a single shrink-wrapped cardboard. There was no loose metal or dust or anything of that nature. The assembly instructions are brief pictograms . It was helpful to me that the inside back page is a parts list , with pictures identifying each part. When I was puzzled by the pictogram I referred to the images on the parts list to identify the parts which are indicated in the pictograms by their numbers .I was able to figure it out, and assembled it without problems . I appreciated the people who mentioned that you have to bend the cotter pins. The instructions don't say or illustrate that, and I haven't had cause to install a cotter pin in maybe 30 years. it was helpful to be reminded .I appreciate the people who said that I should paint it with rust preventative, and I will . I found a socket wrench & a crescent wrench to be helpful in the assembly , but with a little more difficulty I could have done it with just an adjustable wrench, or I suppose large pliers and a screwdriver. The wagon is a little bit out-of-true; All four wheels do not touch the ground at once. It is possible that it will straighten out with weight & time, or it won't! It doesn't matter . If it bothers me, maybe I will try to put in a shim or something to even it out. I'm certainly not sending it back! The wagon seems sturdy . It moves and goes over obstacles such as curbs with ease , unlike my old wheelbarrow & the dolly I have used to move big potted plants. I am pleased that the sides are easy to let down or remove entirely . All in all, a sturdy and useful little vessel for my pots & bags of mulch.

Solid, Sturdy and Easy to Assemble
I’ve found an increasing need for a cart to move heavy/bulky items around the house and yard. The Sandusky Steel Garden Wagon really satisfies my needs. Although the cart has those dreaded three words, “Some assembly required”, it was not nearly as bad as I expected. It took less than 20 minutes to unpack and complete the assembly. You will need a couple of adjustable wrenches. But there are very few bolts to be tightened. The wheels and sides are held on by cotter pins. The construction/design is well thought out. The steel frame is solid and coated with a nice paint job. I am sure that with use it will suffer some dents and scratches, but it looks great out of the box. The pneumatic rubber tires are large and make for easy traveling in the garage and the yard. The handle has a nice rubber grip making it is easy on the hands to pull. The sides can be lowered or completely removed for handling over-sized items. Removal/reattachment is quick and easy. It will hold up to 400 pounds, so it should handle your tough jobs. The price was very attractive, much less than some very similar wagons/carts.

GOOD CART FOR THE MONEY
This is JUST what I needed! The reviews were right about the tires, they stink at first, all the way through the box! So I kept it outside until I put it together. After a few days the smell seems to have dissipated. I really was worried at first because come winter I'll be using this to carry wood in to the house. Seems pretty well made, good enough for around the homestead anyway. Those big (stinky) tires roll over EVERYTHING with ease. I like that the sides & ends can drop down to load/unload stuff. All in all I'd say THIS one is a keeper!
