I waited a few months before reviewing so I could evaluate the iPad better. An iPad is an iPad, but I always wonder what I'll get when I go with a refurbished one. This one was excellently packaged, and as far as I could tell, looked brand new. It performs very well. I am exceedingly happy with this purchase and would readily buy from Electronic Deals again.

Good but limitations

I got this tablet from Electronic Deals and it came looking brand new and works brand new, not a scratch on it. Now the software updates. It’s running on 8 out the box and u can only update it to 9.3.5. With that said I can’t download a lot of new games or apps as this tablet is really old about 6 years? So u can’t dload Netflix which was a surprise and some apps and games don’t even show up in the search Engine in the App Store the battery life is really good the thing is you are limited to older apps but u can download GTA San Andreas. So take that in consideration before you buy. I recently bought a fifth generation 9.7 which runs on 12.2 and it does everything that you want it to do. Sells at $225 again I bought through Electronic Deals through Prime. Now this IPad 2, the only downfall is the limitations. Runs smooth though and for the price and through prime and Electronic Deals I was satisfied with purchase

Perfect gift ever

I love this 2nd generation iPad. It's thin and lightweight so even a toddler could possibly carry it. My husband bought this as a birthday gift for me and I really love it. My favorite bonding time with my kids is watching nursery rhymes on YouTube. Before I was using the laptop but they keep on smashing it. So I decided to use this iPad and they really like it. They really enjoy watching movies and playing some educational games using this product. Highly recommend!

Just like new!

I was rather iffy about purchasing a refurbished product... specially an Apple Product. But all my doubts went away as I opened the box. The Ipad was absolutely beautiful, no scratches, or dents or anything at all. Been playing around with it all day and haven't found a single problem. The screen isn't yellowed or flawed in anyway. Actually I dropped the wall outlet charger on it as soon as I opened it and still looks pristine. I would always highly recommend anything from Amazon. I will update in a few months.

Exceeded Expectations

I was nervous ordering a refurbished device on Amazon, especially with the mixed reviews, but I decided to go for it since I was purchasing the iPad 2 for my 4-year-old so the most important thing to me was it being a reasonable price. There was a shipping delay which was annoying (maybe my fault for telling the 4-year-old when it was initially expected to arrive but I don't usually experience delays with Amazon Prime). When the iPad did arrive, it was in great condition. There are no visible scratches/marks to the screen or the body. As I was setting it up, I had some issues with the home button not functioning but after a few minutes, it was being responsive and have not had any issues with it since. Added a screen protector and a bulky toddler proof protective case and it has been performing well with no issues. I'm very satisfied with the purchase as it suits our needs perfectly. NOTE - Because this is an older model iPad, it will NOT update to iOS 10 or beyond. It still works great for basic web browsing, watching videos etc. but there are definitely some apps that won't function on the iPad 2. I've had good luck with getting the apps we were looking for as the Disney/PBS Kids app etc. allow you to download the compatible version (even though there is a more upgraded version available for later models).

Would buy it again

For 100 bucks, best thing you can get. It does lag a lot on safari and google chrome, and is a bit jumpy there too but plays videos fine. On YouTube to expand a video, you’re supposed to click a button and it takes about 1.5 seconds to respond. Worse case scenario it might take up to four or five seconds for it to respond to a double press. Glass had a couple micro scratches, one of the corners had a slight dent but nothing major. Sorry for putting it in the case, I don’t know how to get it out. This thing has the ability to get really loud, are usually listen to videos at less than 25% volume It is an OG iPad so you can see the pixels unless your 3 feet away or more . Battery life is really good, but Takes equally long time to charge. It is iOS 9. something, So in layman‘s terms about a fifth of the apps you want to download it can’t download because of its age, including any adobe draw app. Sometimes if it’s sleeping and you press the power button it won’t come on, you go to press it twice because of the lag, but I plan on using this to show my portfolio so I don’t particularly care . I downloaded YouTube Google New York Times pixel gun prime video Hulu etc. Overall would buy it again, I do recommend getting a case though and the one above it was 11 bucks

I absolutely recommend this product

I absolutely recommend this product. My daughter will be so happy for Christmas. Came with no scratches or marks. I downloaded all her favorite apps so far no problems.

So far, so good...

I'll be perfectly honest, I was a bit concerned with so many 1 star reviews, but this came to me as a flash deal to my phones app and I figured if the tablet turned out to be too glitch for me to deal with, I'd return it. So, upon arrival, I looked around for dings and scratched. Very few...whew...still worth the price I paid. I fired this thing up and it responded like a new tablet from the factory asking me to set it up as I would a new one. So far I've gone online with no hitches. Youtube, Amazon Prime shows, controlling my Roku TV, etc...all works like a solidly refurbished product should. I'm almost tempted to get another as $150 for an Ipad that responds like new is a no brainer.

GREAT!!!!!

For 99.00 you can't go wrong. This is a ipad 2 which is a 2013 model, but before you stop reading if is well worth it. The only con is you will not be able to use some apps you can use on more up to date models. But there are a lot of apps that will still work on this unit and picture quality is unbelievable. You can still surf the web and check your emails. answer your phone if you have an iphone. this is a great value.

I’m totally happy with my iPad Air

I’m totally happy with my iPad Air, I needed an IPad that would except the IOS 11 update. Happy happy it’s perfect
