Healthy whole grains

I usually purchase the feed but decided to go with this. It is full of whole grains and looks very healthy. Unfortunately my hens don't seem to care much for it. Oh, well. I'll go back to the feed. Great product though.

Chickens love it!

My chickens just love this stuff! As a matter of fact, since I started feeding them this food, they won't eat the organic food I used to feed them! I love feeding my chickens non-gmo food because we eat the eggs from these chickens and who wants franken eggs!

After reading some less favorable reviews here I realized I needed to speak up about my experience. This is not my first bag of organic scratch. I’ve owned chickens, turkeys, ducks and quail for years. This is very high quality “scratch”. All of my grains are sprouted or fermented and this mix is ideal. When the box was opened i got very excite to see all of these Nice intact whole grains. There may be a chunk of corn or a rouge soybean in the mix along with some field debris but all in all this is extremely clean grain. A quick rinse and pick through is all it takes to rid the grains of the debris. It’s still hard to find organic grains in bulk at a reasonable price unless you live near the farm. This company needs support to encourage the continued planting of organic, non gmo crops. Some of this mix is currently soaking for sprouting and fermenting. Review will be updated with details. Update: I posted a new picture of the grains in their sprouting trays. This has been great for my chickens, quail, and even my sons gerbils this winter. After a few trials I confirmed a capful of food grade peroxide in the soaking water keeps the grains from molding too quickly. Still can’t find anything comparable for the price! I’ll be buying a new bag soon!

We have 4 suburban-raised, exclusively organically fed, egg-laying chickens in a tractor coop and they live for their daily dose of Scratch and Peck Organic Soy-free Corn-free Non-GMO Scratch! Seriously, from Day 1 thru today, it is a hit with the girls! If you are what you eat eats then my family couldn't be happier and healthier. It's 3 whole grains - nothing more nothing less - you see 'em as they are, whole grains! Is it worth the freight - ask Shelly, Tink, Coco, and Lola - they say YES in a big way! An absolutely eggsellent treat!!!

Great treat while free roaming the back yard.

My girls love it when I toss handfuls of this throughout the yard. S&P makes excellent products. Make sure to support them and others who stand against the tide of GMO product. I also use the soy and corn free layer from S&P and again, the girls love it!
