I love it!

Great product! Looks very cute and well made (every product I've bought from hape is) and makes a nice rattler and drum for baby to bang on. I did get mine for $7.97 and for that price I'm impressed! But I wouldn't spend more then that on it.

Perfect size, not too loud, well constructed, and bright colors

Bought this and the hape wood xylophone for my 8 month old. Perfect size for her little hands and the colors have her very enamored. She loves touching the metal chimes and hasn't fully figured out how to bang it to make noise, but we don't do any electronic, battery operated or plastic toys and hape is awesome. I'm sure as she gets a little older this will continue to amuse and entertain her!

Great for babies & toddlers!

We gave this to my daughter for her first birthday and she still loves this tambourine 6 months later! She was sick in her first year and is quite behind developmentally. We got this in hopes of helping her to develop some of her gross motor skills (shaking, patting, clapping, etc.). It was great for her and she still plays with it!

Simple, Well-Made Toys Are Best!

Gave this to my grand-nephew for his first birthday! I like simple, well-made, quality toys that allow a child to use his imagination and to entertain himself. I refuse to purchase Chinese-produced toys. In fact I research everything I buy to make sure that the toy is safe. Hape makes quality toys and I will pay the price to make certain that my sweet little guy is safe. BTW, Daddy said that this was a 'mean' toy...lolol...I disagree and so does my grand-nephew!

Music time

My 8 month old loves this tambourine. She loves to pat it and shake wildly. Occasionally she'll finger the little metal plates. They're smooth so no cuts to little fingers. Of course she tries to put it in her mouth, but it's hard to do that with a circular object. The sound makes her laugh and smile. She makes music with her daddy with this toy

Granddaughter loves it

My granddaughter is 1 1/2 years old, and loves to make music. This tambourine allows that expression, and she has a lot of fun making music with it. A well-made, sturdy item well worth the price of $14.86.
