Great first instruments for baby!
We bought these for our 7 month old who loves music and musical instruments. She quickly figured them out and they are now a favorite! Easy to use and hold and the best part, not plastic!

Yes
Small enough for 6 month old hands. Love these and will love even more when he knows how to use them!

Scaled down for toddler size!
This is a great set for tots! It is sturdy, brightly colored with quality finishes, and very appealing. Yes they are small, but they should be scaled down to a young child's world. The children in my class love them and we use them often. The clapper is my personal favorite at it is a rhythm instrument you don't often see. I love that the star is cut into them to provide yet another way to stimulate the tactile sense.

A quality interactive toy that can be enjoyed for years to come.
I bought these to help fill the "music" basket I was making for my 8 month old to explore. As with all other Hape products They are a good quality long lasting toy that my baby can enjoy for years to come. He enjoys shaking the little "rattle" but one of the great things about these toys is that they can grow with the development of the child so that they can be enjoyed for years to come.

Best money spent!
This was the least expensive Christmas gift we got for our daughter. She’s 18 months & absolutely loves it! Zero interest in anything else she got for Christmas! I could’ve saved myself a lot of $$. Ha!

Perfect toys for the age they are intended for!
Yes, they are small, but I think they are the perfect size for my one year olds. The description says they are for 1 - 3 year olds. And, yes, I can still use them too. My kids love the toys and they are much more suitable for younger children than "real" musical instruments of this sort. I am glad I purchased these despite some negative reviews.

Great value! Baby loves it!
My baby loves all his hape toys but seems to love this one the most. It's a little smaller then I expected but absolutely of the great quality that I've come to expect with hape toys and the kiddo carries these little noise makers everywhere and loves them. Also, worth mentioning is that they are noise makers and make enough noise to keep my 18 mo happy without being annoying...they aren't that loud...definitely a plus in my book!

Good quality, good size for baby
I introduced these instruments (and a tambourine) when my son was 7 months old, and he instantly loved them. It didn't take long before he figured out how to use them and I really love that they are made of safe wooden material as they also tend to come up into his mouth.

Quality wooden toys for all ages
My son is 7 months old and he loves to stick the clapper and the stick into his mouth. He can shake the clapper to great effect but he has trouble smacking the güiro with the stick. Like most of Hape's wooden toys, these toys are really well-made and stand up to heavy use (and slamming against the floor, play yard and other toys). My almost 3-year-old niece also enjoys this set---she was greatly suspicious that her cousin suddenly had THE SAME set---and has since I gifted it to her at about the same age as my son. Without a doubt, Hape makes really good quality toys that feel "green." I'm not disappointed by any stretch of the imagination
