My dogs are seniors and are not good candidates to be put under for dentals. Daily use of this in their water keeps tartar at a minimum and their breath fresh. I put half a capful in a big bowl of water. They seem to be drinking it with gusto, so I guess they like the taste. Really a good product for an excellent price.

How good can it be? It’s just mouthwash. Plus it’s not like they swish it around and hold it in their mouth like we do. I picked this up about a year ago in desperation. My dog doesn’t chew bones or toys, and turns his nose up at flavored dental sticks. As a result, his molars were turning black and he had a ton of build up on his canines. In the photo, just imagine everywhere you see slight yellow, instead covered in black and brown gunk, and hard plaque. His gums were beginning to look inflamed. And, of course, his breath could kill a horse. After one week of constant use (a cap full for every bowl of water) you could see an obvious difference in tooth color. I was blown away. (Why can’t human mouthwash do such a good job on our teeth?) After three weeks, his molars were almost completely clean. After a couple months of use, the plaque on his canines was soft enough to brush some of it off, which was totally impossible before. Plaque covered the canine approx 70%. Obviously no longer the case. Idk what insane solvent this is made of, but it keeps his gross mouth clean as a whistle. now I don’t have to worry about my picky princess mutt losing his teeth because he can’t be bothered to chew anything.

This product or a lightly minted liquid you add to your dog's water and they drink it up and it helps keep your fur baby's mouth and teeth clean. I have dogs, bichon mixes and they drink the water like it is going out of style. Their teeth have less tartar and their breath smells good. The price is good too as I compared to local prices and found it was cheaper by a clue dollars, and with auto delivery I don't worry about running out.

I bought this for my dog about 6 weeks ago to counteract tartar buildup since we’re struggling with her letting us brush her teeth. Her vet recommended trying a water additive while we work on brushing. She didn’t have a ton of buildup (she’s only 2.5 yr), but I swear it’s almost gone. And because it’s so concentrated we’ve only used about 1/3 of the bottle so far (for reference she’s a medium sized dog, around 40 lb).

My girls have dog breath, which the gf hates. This additive completely eliminates the problem. I add half the recommended amount to a pitcher of water every couple of days and keep it in the refrigerator. One bottle lasts about two months, maybe more. Their teeth weren't bad before we started using this, probably because both love to chew, but their choppers are an ever brighter white and very clean now. They do not seem to mind the taste, and neither has had diarrhea or gastrointestinal problems we started using this. Great product!

My senior girl is too old for teeth cleaning but she had some serious tartar. I figured I'd try this Nylabone liquid to soften some of the buildup. I have seen a marked difference in her tatar issues--it seems to be dissolving away from her back teeth and her breath is definitely better! Both dogs love the taste, and I haven't had any issues with upset tummies like other reviewers. I'm putting this on auto-renew to keep on hand for my pack!

I have worked in a veterinarian clinic and have seen how gross a dig's teeth can get when their is no or little dental care. I have been using this faithfully for the last three years since my dog's last dental cleaning. He is now 11 years old and between this water additive used daily and scaling his teeth with the scaler approximately once a year he has been spared additional dental cleanings and anesthesia. I must say his teeth look great and his gumline nice and pink. I just scaled his teeth today and it has been at least a year since I have done so. I was impressed by the small amount of plaque compared to when I wasn't using a water additive. I believe by routinely addressing your dogs dental needs through a water additive cleanser, and scaling or brushing, your dog will likely never need a dental cleaning from a vet.

I bought this shortly after one of my dogs had (another) extensive dental cleaning and (more) extractions. It seemed that every time he went in for a cleaning, more teeth came out. I also had a new dog whose teeth looked great, and I wanted to keep them that way. I've now been using this product for about a year, and my newer dog's teeth are still sparkling white - all of them! My other dog's teeth have never been perfectly white, even after a cleaning, but they're looking good too. The only thing I've changed is adding this to their drinking water, so I have to assume it's been helping. The only caveat is that if I add too much to the water, one of my dog seems to get a mildly upset stomach. So my only advice would be not to take the "more is better" approach. One capful per half gallon of water is doing the trick.

My pup was starting to get more plaque and tartar build up so we decided to test out this liquid water bowl additive. I was shocked to start seeing reduced plaque on his teeth after just a weekend. In the past I was pretty inconsistent with brushing his teeth because of the fuss he would make. This has helped tremendously and his breath seems slightly less stinky since we've been using it. I have since also used a finger brush and dog toothpaste which helped whiten his teeth up even more. They say that dental chews are good, rinses are better, and brushing is best. I am good mixing all three but making this rinse a staple!

Our vet wanted to clean both of our dogs' teeth, and we are not nuts about them being anesthetized unless it's really necessary. I tried a couple of other kinds & they did not seem to help much. I saw this and since we already trusted the Nylabone brand name, I decided to give it a try. I have been using this for a couple of years, if not more. I do not use anywhere near the amount they suggest. I put a decent splash in when filling their water container , and there is a noticeable difference since I've been using it. My dogs are 9 1/2 and the tartar on their teeth is negligible. My cats also drink the same water.
