Perfect starter block set

Purchased for my almost two year old daughter. She really enjoyed them. Perfect little starter block set. My daughter enjoyed that they were colored. She likes building with them and she used the yellow and green blocks for her Schleich animals as hay. So she saw a use that I hadn't thought of. Great Blocks

Perfect Size for Toddlers :)

Ordered to add some building blocks to my existing ABC blocks and my toddlers LOVE these blocks! PROS: bright fun primary colors (as pictured), perfect handling size for babies and toddlers, sturdy wood construction, easily stackable, good assortment of various shapes and sizes, convenient bag included for storage CONS: If you're looking for larger size blocks, these are quite SMALL (I have included pics of my toddlers playing with them to show scale). I was expecting larger due to the pictures on Amazon (I think the perspective on them may have been off); that being said, I ended up being pleasantly surprised and now LOVE their small size, which allows them to be handled PERFECTLY by small hands of toddlers and allows them to build tall structures - and when they tumble, it's much less painful and not so loud ;)

High quality blocks.

What else would you expect from Hape? Great quality and colors. The bag is a perfect way to store them without taking up too much space. Definitely high quality blocks.

My grandson loved these blocks

My grandson loved these blocks. I got them because I had sets like these and I got them for both of my sons when they were little. Nice to see that they are still nice wood and not some cheap stuff.

High quality, made in the USA, wooden blocks

We were really pleased to find 'made in the USA" wooden toys. We bought these blocks for our grandson who is less than a year old. The quality of the blocks is as good as the picture. The blocks are beautifully painted, with a nice, smooth finish. So far, the paint has done a good job of resisting a teething baby's attentions. I highly recommend these blocks as excellent value. I think they will become a treasured plaything.

These blocks are so well made. I gave these to my 1 1/2 year old grandson at Christmas and he is still playing with them. These blocks are a bit bigger than most on the market today so there is no choking worry with these. The colors are bright and it is easy to stack to create whatever the imagination can think of. I would recommend purchasing two sets so there are lots of blocks to share with grandma and his little friends!

Excellent for open-ended play and great quality

These blocks are really great for a young toddler to preschooler and such a necessary basic to have in the toy bin. The size is completely fine and the quality is great. I am sure that they will look well loved within time but I expect that with toys that are actually heavily in use. My 3 year old and 20 month old love them and both can build with them. My 3 year old can build a tower using every block on our rug. They are great for practicing fine motor and if something isn't stable then try to problem solve what to do different next time. Excellent open-ended toy.

So yes made in China but I wrote to the company and the factory is their own and run by themselves and still had the safe water based paint- safe for baby mouths. I feel fine w that :-) this company is so responsive - been buying their stuff for years

Awesome blocks and the price is great

These are great for the price! They stack well. Some people said they are slick and I guess they are if compared to unpainted would blocks but we haven't had any trouble stacking these. We do have wood floors so we start on a flatter surface than carpet. My kiddo (20 months) loves these and we have used them for sorting and learning colors. They also come with a carrying case if you want to take them to Grandma's. Would buy again!

Love these blocks

I love these blocks! I purchased them because they remind me of the blocks that we used to play with when I was a child. I like that they are just plain blocks and that kids have to use their imagination to build. I would recommend pairing these blocks with the other wooden blocks made by Hape, Qube Blocks, that come in the plastic tubes. There are combinations of animals, cars, sea creatures,
