Worth it
This is the second one of these that I bought. Very happy with them. Since I don't actually mount them to a wall like they were intended, I used a hammer & a sharp chisel to cut off the plastic bump that helps to keep the lid closed. Makes it a lot easier to open that lid when you're holding the remote in your hand. The lid still does a good job of staying closed when you want it to. We keep one with the baby stroller and one in the car. Since it requires typing in a code, if it ever gets lost or stolen you don't have to worry about someone else being able to use it to open your garage door. You also don't have to worry about accidentally causing your garage door to open or close when you didn't want it to. Getting it set up to work with my Genie garage door opener was pretty easy. Totally worth the money :D

Prefect replacement!!!!
Perfect replacement for my 8 year old Genie 4260 garage door opener. This replaced the original GWKPD wireless keypad. Lucky I read the revies here and set up was easy as another reviewer figured out how to set this properly for an 8 year old door opener by changing this product from Intellicode 2 to Intellicode 1 . Simply "enter your PIN and press the "Up/Down" button and then hold the "Program" button until it turns red, then close the cover again. I followed the normal directions for syncing it to the opener and it worked right away." When I followed the other reviewers advice it worked right away. This item is slightly smaller than the GWKPD wireless keypad, but it works identical to open two doors. Important since this is how the kids get into the house after school. I also like the lid better on this model, as our old wireless keypad the lid kept falling off. This model has a much more secure lid. Product also included 2 AAA batteries and the screws to mount it. The keypad slides and hangs onto the first screw and you need to remove the batteries to put in the second screw.

A+
Works perfectly. My home was built in 2016 with a Genie garage door system. I wanted a keypad for easier access for my kids, walking the dog, etc. Our prior home had a Liftmaster keyless pad so I purchased a Liftmaster not realizing until later that it will not work with a Genie. I reordered the Genie Wireless and set it up in less than 5 minutes. I'm the most girly, non-handy person ever--I barely can pump my own gas lol. And this was super easy to program. My 3rd grader could do it. It took another 5 minutes for me to mount. I didn't need to use a drill, like the directions instructed, for the 2 included mounting screws. I simple screwed them into my wood garage frame. A few reviews said they didn't like the "30 second rule". I didn't quite understand what that meant until I set it up. Say you're leaving for a walk and enter your code 1234 to close the door and as soon as it closes, you remember you need to grab a water bottle...with the Liftmaster you have to re-enter the entire 1234 code. With the Genie unit, you can press 1 or ANY number on the pad, and the door will stop, then hit any other button and it will begin to go back up again. Maybe it's a safety feature. But keep in mind if you closed your garage door and took off running, someone could come up behind you within 30 seconds and press any key on the pad to gain access. This isn't a big deal for me though. The average person sticks around for that short amount of time. As soon as the backlight shuts off (30 seconds) you're good to go. Awesome product; awesome price.

Works fine
I had an Overhead Door Odessey pad and that thing stunk from day one. I could never open the garage on the first try, I'd have to cup my hands around the unit to see what the lights were doing to even stand a chance of getting it to work. Most times I would be standing there for several minutes typing in the code 10-20-30 times before it would go. Finally decided that I had enough so I picked this up. I was nervous because it looks the exact same as the old one, just has the Genie brand on it. However, it paired easy and worked fine right off the bat. I hope it last awhile, much nicer to be able to open the garage with less hassle

Works great - after deleting the code that was pre-programmed in it when I received it.
NOTICE: These commonly ship with a code already programmed which will need to be cleared before you can enter your personal code. Check the other reviews for instruction on how to clear the code if your first attempt to program doesn't work since sellers are not including instructions. I purchased this keypad from The Genie Company, it arrived quickly and appeared new although in generic packaging, with a code already programmed and no instructions. Excited to use this remote, I spent at least 15 minutes messing around trying to sync it with my Intellecode2 opener although it seemed to be defective. A quick browse through the Amazon reviews revealed there was likely already a code in the unit and it needed to be reset. This could cause a lot of frustration so I sent a note to The Genie Company and they said they will check to ensure these are cleared before shipping them. Once the code was cleared, this remote worked flawless, the instructions to add a code are under the lid. I am very happy with this remote and the price.

So Easy to Install!
It arrived quickly and was super easy to mount. I’m a 58 yr old unhandy gal and even with a wonky, old Genie opener I was able to figure it out. There is a button and LED light on the garage door opener. You press the button to get it to link with the pad and the little LED light blinks on and off to let you know it’s paired. The pin pad instructions were for newer models. The button and light on my model looked different and were in a different location. Once I dug out my garage door opener instruction booklet and located them, I was able set it up very quickly. Anyone slightly more handy than me would have figured it out right away.

As described, plus great customer service!
The remote keypad was exactly as described and the installation and programming instructions were super easy to follow. Because I have an older Genie opener (c. 2000), I especially appreciated them providing programming instructions for a variety of different opener models. A note about Genie's customer service: I noticed that once I programmed the remote keypad, my other remote controls stopped working. And then once I re-programmed the old remote controls, the new keypad stopped working. I emailed Genie's customer service and, BAM!, they got back to me right away. It turned out I had maxed out the number of remotes that my opener could store (7. I told you it was an old unit!). They provided laser-guided directions on how to dump the opener's memory so that all of my remotes would work. Brava!

A handy garage addition
I'm not sure why some people are giving the unit a bad review for it falling off the upper screw when you lift the cover but I suspect it's that they didn't remove the batteries and place the bottom screw behind them to securely fasten the unit to the wall. It was easy to program and yes we have only 1 door but 2 other remotes that were just as easy to program all at the same time. We were able to get it done in about 30 minutes attaching it to the wall and programming it and the other 2 remotes. Just don't forget the second bottom screw UNDER the batteries.

Works fine with older intellicode models
Just make sure you set the remote to intellicode I mode - it's shipped in intellicode II mode. Took me a little while to figure that out. The LED will be green in intellicode II mode, and red in intellicode I one mode

very easy to program this unit
This remote replaced a Genie wireless remote that I used for 22 years. It was made in USA. This unit is made in China. I replaced the 9 volt battery in the previous unit about 6 or 7 times in 22 years. This new unit uses 2 AAA batteries. You will have to clean the contacts in the battery holder about once a year to maintain good contact or you will get a false low battery problem. You will think that the batteries are low but it is simply the contacts that need cleaning. other than that the unit works well and easy to program.
