Fantastic! Great for snacks and in trail mix.
Wonderfully tart and inanely delicious. I usually prefer the Cherries of Door County, WI, but these are almost indistinguishable so I was very pleased. It's so hard to find these without added sugar, and after eating these real quality cherries you'll wonder why someone would add sugar to these because they are already so sweet. Mix all equal amounts by volume of these cherries, unsalted pistachios, and unsalted cashews and you will have the best trail mix you've ever tasted. I bring bags of it on hikes and on business trips for snacking and it's so good that it's difficult to believe you're eating something healthy. Of course if that's too healthy throw in some dark chocolate chips. Any way you do it, it's cheaper, healthier, and better tasting than pre-packaged trail mixes with raisins.

No sugar added.
These tart cherries just went back on sale on Amazon after being unavailable for a long time. To get the cherries I called Rowley's Red Barn in Utah where the cherries are processed. The gentleman I spoke with was most friendly and helpful. I bought two bags of cherries from him, which arrived at my door a few days later. Now, about the cherries themselves. They are packaged in a plastic bag which is prominently labelled, No Added Sugar. The only ingredients are tart cherries and sunflower oil. We know tart cherries are good for us, which is one of the reasons we go out of our way to buy them, but what about sunflower oil? Not so good. It is high in omega six fatty acids which, unfortunately, we already get too much of in our diet. We want more omega 3 fatty acids and less omega six. The purpose of these oils is to keep the cherries from sticking together and they succeed reasonably well in doing that. I am now looking carefully at a small pile of the cherries on my desk next to the keyboard for this computer. They look exactly like raisins; that is, small, dark, and shriveled up. Now I am chewing them and they taste like a dry, tart cherry, which I like. I put the cherries in my morning cereal and also drop a few in my cup of hot green tea. They don't plump up much in the tea and not at all in the bowl of cold cereal. Added to hot oatmeal and then allowed to sit over night, they do plump up a bit. I would like it better if the producers of these cherries were able to find a healthier oil to us than sunflower oil, but I don't think the little sunflower oil that I am ingesting with these cherries is a problem. Readers of this review who disagree, might leave a comment. The important thing for me is NO SUGAR. Have readers of this review noticed how difficult it is to buy packaged goods that don't have sugar added to them? For the time being, until I find a healthier alternative, I will stick with the Country Spoon tart cherries.

I love these cherries
I love these cherries. Other brands ad sugar, but not these. They are truly tart and that is what I have been searching for. The flavor is wonderful. The only problem for some people might be that they are not as soft as the sugar covered variety. But I love them chewy. I will be ordering more of these when my supply gets low. Thank you amazon.com for making this product available. FOLLOWUP: One sad thing about these wonderful tart cherries is that I found a round metal disc in the cherries. I actually discovered it after placing a handful in my mouth. I immediately spit it out without damaging my teeth. It appears to be a small magnet maybe one inch across. I will be more careful with the remaining cherries.

10 stars if I could
Unquestionably the tastiest dried berries I've ever tried. I was a little concerned the lack of added sugar would make these cherries way too sour. That was not the case at all. They are tart and sweet, and most importantly, very healthy. I stopped taking tart cherry caps, and will stick with these. They are at least as economical because they're maybe 80% smaller than fresh fruit. All the goodness and flavor remain while the water left.

These taste sooooooooooooo good! Love them
These taste sooooooooooooo good! Love them, they are nature's candy. I sprinkle them on my avocado-banana-cocoa powder "chocolate mousse" (nice contrast with the smooth texture of the mousse), mix them into my trailmix with walnuts and popped sorghum, throw them in with steel-cut oatmeal (they swell and are less tart, sweeten the mix create an interesting taste throughout if cooked together), or just eat them as they are. Yumyumyum, perfect combi of sweet and tart. The 1lb bag is half empty already, in less than a week. Addicted ... ;)

My mouth watered watching him enjoy his treat
Wow, those are tart cherries! A friend was eating them every day with his lunch. My mouth watered watching him enjoy his treat. I am glad I didn't wait longer to order. The seller shipped right away. I'm very pleased and have set up a recurring order.

I'll be ordering these again and again. Please don't stop selling them.
Yum yum, I'll be ordering these again. They taste great and there's no guilt about eating added sugar. I like to mix them into plain yogurt with some walnuts and pecans for a healthy snack, free of unnatural sweeteners. My only problem is that the kids like them too so I have to share when they catch me eating them. I'm surprised how long this bag is lasting. Usually I'll go through something like this in a week but there are so many cherries packed into the bag that I haven't run out yet.

Delicious tart & sour dried cherries, no added sugar at all!
These are *awesome* if you're looking for a low sugar, unprocessed version of dried cherries with tons of flavor. I've done sugar content comparisons of a lot of fruit - while sweet cherries are extremely high in sugar like apples and pears (as you'd expect from the name), sour cherries are about as low in sugar as other low-sugar fruits like strawberries, raspberries, etc. They also have a lovely intense flavor. My husband and I eat these straight - him a bit more than me - but I also add them to trail mix and chop them up for meatballs. Kids who love sour foods might enjoy them, they'd make a good replacement for sour patch kids. Adults might like them with pistachios or almonds and dark chocolate.

Very unique and heavenly taste
In the early 1960's my grandmother that lived all her life in southern Italy would send me and my siblings a large jar of sour cherry preserve about once a year. It was delicious and we always looked forward to getting it. She died in the mid 1970's. Since then I search far and wide for these sour cherries with no success. I finally found them on Amazon and they are the same cherries my grandmother would send us. What a delight to enjoy! They are a little pricy but worth it. You don't need to eat a lot to get satisfied. They are great for snacking or for a no sugar added desert. Once you try them you will get hooked. I get a one pound bag delivered automatically every month so I never run out.

Great in muffins!
These are delicious, not too tart at all. They're about like sweetened cranberries. Love them! Tart cherries are supposed to be a great anti-inflammatory food, but if they have sugar, it kind of defeats the purpose. Happy to have found these, have ordered them twice and will continue to order.
