Easy Replacement

As with most appliances Im not familiar with, it can be intimidating for even simple maintenance. I will say switching this filter was super easy. I recommend turning off your humidifier for 24 hours. This helps in many ways. First is the obvious, you dont want it triggering while your messing with it. Second, you want a dry filter to handle to limit the mess. And third, maybe the most beneficial, when you change it and put it back together, you can turn it on and it should kick in fairly quickly. Allowing you to make sure your water hose and drain are aligned. It will drip where it shouldnt if theres a problem

Perfect for my household humidifier

My furnace technician suggested I buy the replacement water panel on line if I wanted to save some money and I'm glad he did. Easily saved 40% on a product that was identical to what the vendor offered. Well-packaged to secure the contents from possible damage. The filter panel was marked just as described by the technician to facilitate proper, right-side-up installation. Comparing this new one to the one I was replacing, I could not tell any difference between the two in craftsmanship, except of course how this was so much cleaner than the one replaced. Very pleased with my purchase.

Real Aprilaire replacement filter

I have had a heating company taking care of my furnace and humidifier for many years. About 6 years ago they replaced the humidifier. Every year when it came time to check and clean the furnace and humidifier the filters would cost hundreds of dollars. My bill was always $350 or more. I ask why and the HVAC guy told me its the cost of the filters. He told me to buy my own and I would save a lot of money. So I did buy my own and what a savings. My husband installed it and it works like a charm. I will keep using the HVAC company but will now have my own filters to supply them with. Best thing is they are not aftermarket they are the real thing. No problems with this filter at all.

Great product - easy to install

The water pad unit arrived in an Aprilaire branded package and was an exact duplicate of the one being replaced. Clear and complete instructions for installing the pad were printed on the outside of the box. It took me about 20 minutes to remove the old pad, thoroughly clean the inside of the humidifier, insert the new pad, and place the humidifier back in operation. An important detail is to make sure that when you remove the old unit you retain the frame and the water distribution panel that hold the water pad in place. I could see where someone could discard the entire assembly only to be very disappointed when they receive this water pad and discover that it is only the media used to facilitate the flow of water within the humidifier. It must be inserted in the old frame and water distribution panel to be re-installed in the humidifier.

Perfect Fit OEM Evaporator Panels

I ordered the two-pack of panels, and was pleased to see they matched the original OEM panel in my Aprilaire 700 humidifier. They fit perfectly, and were a perfect match down to the clay coating and colored marks to denote the top of the filter. These were a great value to replace the the original panel and get my furnace ready for the upcoming heating season. The panels came complete with installation instructions. I've attached a photo showing what it looks like.

New filter every year!

until recently I did not know April Air needed filter replacement. actually thought my Aprilaire didn't work. had a separate furnace repair ( bad ignitor) and furnace repair man asked me when last time I changed filter... like never. was calcified and crumbling... I am pretty religious about changing the regular furnace air filter too .... oh well - got two new filters and cleaned out the system and now working as intended... much better comfort in winter with some humidity in the house! now will plan on changing once a year! On a side not I bought a small white board to put on entrance to crawl space where I can keep track of when I change my filters ...ie, when changed, when due. keeps the guess work out of when did I change things last and don't have to get in crawl if not necessary.

Change these often

Perfect fit replacement panel for many residential HVAC humidifiers. Installation was easy and LONG overdue at our new (to us) house. Last owners probably NEVER replaced the original as it crumbled into a huge, stinky mess when it was removed. It is nice to be able to get these parts as a consumer because changing the filter is easy and does not require paying a HVAC professional to have it taken care of annually for healthier air quality. Worked in our "Trane" branded furnace humidifier unit.

Received Genuine Authentic OEM Aprilaire Product

I was already ordering a 2 pack of OEM Aprilaire 35 water panels from Amazon, then stumbled on this. I thought surely for only a couple dollars each they must be junk, but decided to order one on a whim in hopes that it might be at least somewhat similar quality to the Aprilaire. Today the package arrived, to my amazement, not only was it similar quality to the OEM ... it WAS an OEM Aprilaire in OEM packaging and identical to the 2 pack of filters I bought for more expensive ... See the picture below, the water panel I received from FiltersNow wasn't a generic knock off or "aftermarket" as the listing said, it was the real deal. I have never been so pleased to have an inaccurate listing. I will absolutely be buying this again

APRILAIRE GENUINE PART

You don't have to be an expert DIYér to replace this - it's really easy - and an HVAC guy will charge you about $80 for the visit and $25 for the pad - do it all yourself for $12! If you have hard water you may have to remove this once or twice in a winter season and soak it in water/vinegar to shake off the deposits. Otherwise it will definitely last a full winter season.

Easy repair

Not much to say about this replacement water panel. This was an easy job. Open the door on the humidifier. Disconnect the water line - just pull it off, it's a rubber hose and is held on by friction. Pull out the the old panel and holder Remove the the original water panel from the holder. Put the replacement panel into the panel holder and reinstall in humidifier. Reconnect water hose, close humidifier door and you're good to go. Took longer to write this then to perform the task. The replacement panel comes with good instructions.
