You won't even believe me.
There is no way to reason with you in a product review. This is no-contest better than the instant ramen you had in college, and reminiscent enough of what you'd get at a decent restaurant if you weren't so hung up on ramen only being for starving poor college students. That's what they said about pizza in the '80s, tacos in the '90s, and canned beer in the '00s. You should get over it, but you're not listening. If you still think ramen is bad, stop reading. I could tell you the noodles aren't stale, and the flavor packet isn't chalky MSG-feeling, and the savory/spicy mix is just right, but somehow you won't really believe me until you try it. You're just not listening. If you still think ramen is bad, stop reading. I could tell you you don't get a sodium bomb if you stop after the noodles are gone and don't slurp down all the soup, but you're not listening. If you still think ramen is bad, stop reading. I could tell you, it's worth $1/pack vs. the cheap stuff at $0.10/pack on grocery store special, but you're not listening. You think ramen is bad and how can the $1 stuff really be any good. Stop reading. If you're still reading, just buy one measly box and try it. If you are at all interested in quick and easy ramen at home and are fortunate enough not to be cash flow negative any longer, you won't be disappointed. Mix in a couple eggs or even hot dog slices for protein, toss in a couple random vegetables for variety, and get yourself an awesome midnight snack or even super-quick meal when you're in a rush.

Best Noodles Ever
Thank you everyone for reviewing this and explaining how these are the best. How can anyone rave about something like instant noodles? Well, I have to join the crowd. My family LOVES these! These noodles are the best, quick lunch or dinner! We have been eating way more noodles than we probably should do! The noodles are heftier and a little chewy....more substantial than ramen. And they hold up over time! I had made some for lunch one day & had to run an errand. When I got back an hour later, the noodles were not soggy! I just heated it up in the microwave and had my yummy lunch! Tips: 1. These don't really have to be cooked on the stove. We just pour boiling water over them and let them sit for a few minutes. 2. The seasoning is pretty hot. We sometimes use 1/2 or 1/3 of the packet and put in a boullion cube. The rest of the seasoning makes a nice clear soup later in the day. 3. We like to add a dash of toasted sesame oil. mmmm..... 4. We like more vegetables, but that's a little tricky in the office. So I found Amy's natural freeze-dried vegetables (from amazon), and those are perfect. We sprinkle some on before pouring in the hot water.

Simply delicious! And NO MSG!
These noodles are delicious! The flavor is great and if you are a spicy lover, then use the entire spice package! As a long-time instant ramen enthusiast, I would recommend dropping an egg in your soup and let it soft boil for a few minutes so the yolk doesn't fully cook, but if you like your yolk cooked through, then it would be a good idea to just mix up the egg into the soup itself. If you are substituting a meal with this delicious noodle soup, consider adding a chicken drumstick and some green veggies, like romaine lettuce, spinach, and any other leafy green of your choice! The main reason I got this on Amazon is because of the great pricing! Highly recommended! Delicious!Nongshim Shin Noodle Ramyun Gourmet Spicy, 4.2-oz. Packages, 20-Count

Love these to the moon and back
Love these to the moon and back. I'm sure they're incredibly unhealthy for you given the high sodium content, but I don't care. If I get cancer, I might downgrade my rating to 4 stars.

Changed me in ways I can't explain
Shin Ramyun is edible life essence. Last month I made a down payment on a new mansion, met Wiz Khalifa, bought a new Ferrari in cash, earned back-to-back pentakills with Kassadin, won four consecutive lotteries, tied the knot with my girlfriend, uninstalled Vim, helped my best friend deliver his firstborn child, hit my deadlift PR of 9,001 lbs, realized that I am Jeff Bezos's son, and had a bowl of Shin Ramyun. The only thing that brought me any semblance of emotion was the Shin Ramyun. By the way, that's the only thing I ate last month, and I feel better than I've felt in centuries. Shin Ramyun is the only medicine that will save us from the vile haze of chemtrails.

Staple comfort food to keep in stock
I generally try to keep a few packs at home for rainy days when I don't feel like cooking. Whether you cook this by itself, or you beef it up with a few additions, this is by far one of the best "instant" noodles you can get. You definitely have to boil it for a while, but the results are significantly better than microwave or boil-pour instant noodles. You can add scallions/green onion, crack in an egg and stir it in, meats and whatever vegetables into it while they're cooking to really fill it up. I generally use 1/2-3/4" flavor packet, and keep the rest (good with scrambled eggs!). If I have a cold, this helps with my sinuses significantly. I also try to make sure I buy it when it's on sale. Stores around here have 4 packs for $6.50, but Amazon regularly has it on sale for 20 for ~$20 or under. I don't eat it often, so one pack will generally last me most of the year.

Not your average ramen!
Let me start off by saying that these noodles are amazing! I followed the recommendations of other reviews and added eggs. For me this makes a MAJOR difference! Adding eggs gives these noodles such great flavor. I found that adding a bullion cube of either chicken or beef to the boiling water enhances the flavor. Once the noodles are boiling in the broth I gently crack a few eggs into the pot and then turn the heat down to simmer for about 3 minutes. While simmering gently tilt the pot back and forth so that the broth coats the eggs. Cook the eggs to your liking and that’s it! I like to add a little red onion in the end for an extra pop of flavor

A Quick and Easy Budget Food
Packaged Ramen noodle types are foods that I eat when I'm on a tight budget, and not as some expensive gourmet treat right out of the bag. This is a ramen noodle for a not-so-starving college student. Amazon had these at a good price. These are Korean noodles, thick and hearty, and they make a good base for thicker sauces, and would hold up well under a meaty, tomatoey Italian spaghetti sauce. You don't have to use the spice packet, and the dehydrated veggie packet is skimpier than it used to be in my college days. Watch some youtube videos for ramen recipes and hacks to make this into a full meal. But I still also like the thin, "starving college student" Maruchan type noodles that sell for 25-cents at Walmart (unless they raised the price now). And I also recommend the Sapporo Ichiban brand when they are at a good price.

GREAT Ramen!
These are GREAT ramen noodles all things considered. I’m a ramen foodie and nothing beats the authenticity of traditional Ramen. However if you’re on a budget this is definitely the way to go. The noodles taste great, the spices are amazing. I love spicy food and this product definitely doesn’t disappoint! Just beware if you don’t like spicy use less of the seasoning packet. One pack is very filling and that’s coming from me a decent sized guy. I like to add green onions, cilantro, a soft boiled egg, and sautéed pork loin. Takes 20min max to prep with these additions(see pic). You won’t be disappointed with this product.

Better, More Satisfying Noodles
My husband loves these, but it "ruined" any chance of him being satisfied with the cheaper Ramen choices. This is a thicker brick of noodles and comes with a spicier seasoning and some tiny bits of dehydrated veg.(carrot, green onion and mushroom). It's not health food (especially if using the MSG flavor packet), but my husband sees it as a satisfying treat after work. It's an occasional welcome break from me having to cook a full meal. A great way to make it heartier and healthier...add an egg to the water as the noodles cook, a dash of spicy oil and some kimchi and/or another veg.
