Good gasket does not require RTV
Good gasket . Do not use RTV. The gasket will do it’s job if you torque it to spec. By this point you probably watched all sorts of DIY videos on you tube and are confused weather to use RTV or a gasket or both. Like I said just use the gasket and torque it to spec. Note: I use a little lock tight on the bolts so they don’t loosen up after time.

Easy to replace
Good product. Fit exactly like it should. No leaks when used with permatex. 5000 miles + with no issues. You need 2 1/2 quarts to fill it back up.

Good product
Did a Eaton Trutrack installation. I had changed my oil before the differential rebuild and used same gasket. Worked well both previous times. I'm going to use it a 3rd time to change my oil and inspect my differential after recent rebuild. I do not use rtv on my gaskets. Surface is always clean and dry. Never have problem. Always torque bolts in a star pattern to avoid warping the housing cover and prevent leaks.
