I have been looking for a solution for this circular cabinet for years. It doesn't look pretty but it works and it saves my spices for being dumped all over the kitchen and the cat !

Stands up to the strength of a two-year-old
We were having a terrible time keeping our toddler out of the fridge. He would go in, open drawers, and then leave the door open. It was a perfect game for our little boy. Man, was he mad when he discovered we added one of these locks. It seems to be holding up well so far to the tantrums and angry pulling, as he rages against the machine...door.

Kept the dog out, but he tried hard!
Our dog likes to raid the trash now and then. We were sick of it. I put one of these on a few days ago. Today, I came home to the attached photos. He grabbed a sliver of trash bag that wasn't covered by the lid, dragged it out as much as he could, but he couldn't get the lid open. I call that a success, even if we had to pick up shredded black plastic from the floor after. :)

Great for toilets
- Easy to install - Easy to latch and unlatch one-handed - Very strong and durable - Keeps little hands out of the toilet - Can be used on cabinets, too

Instantly childproof almost anything without drilling
These work on appliances and toilets, but they also work on doors and cabinets. Our doors have egg knobs, and we could not find any knob covers that would work. This keeps the door latched without having to drill into the actual door and damage it. These are good for travel or if you are staying somewhere temporarily and you do not want to damage things by drilling. The only downside is that they are pricey for a pack of two.

Love these!
I love these! I bought them originally for the fridge after my 2 year old got in and smashed a chocolate pudding pie all over the floor and dumped 4 pints of kefir onto the living room carpet. But I used the 2nd one to "lock" the baby gate into the kitchen that he had figured out!

but I love it! Works perfectly
My son hates it, but I love it! Works perfectly, and was super easy to install!

These are just what we needed in our son's room. We are in a rental home and cannot drill holes so these were perfect. They are also not hard to remove and did not cause damage as my husband had to reposition them a few times but our 14 mo is unable to pull them off.

Works well for my 18 month olds! *EDITED*
I purchased these to keep my exploring 18 month old twins out of our entertainment center. We have two glass doors they just loved to open. Applying them was easy, but unfortunately one of my girls tugged on the strap before it was really set and ripped the back latch (the one we don't use) off the wood. It wouldn't stick now so I just pulled out some of my extra command strips and stuck it down. It's mostly out of sight so we don't see the tabs and it works great! The locks are pretty large and unsightly, but they get the job done and they can't figure it out (yet). I'm sure by 3 or so they'll discover they just have to push the buttons and boom! Access to whatever. But they are excellent for now. It would be nice if they supplied extra adhesive just in case (or for reuse). It'd also be nice if they made them in a black, and a brushed and polished silver color too, just to make them look slightly nicer. They accomplish what I wanted at an excellent price, would recommend! Edit: September 7, 2013: My daughters are now over two years old and still cannot get into these. I put them on all cabinets in our kitchen now as well. If I leave one off on accident they try to put it back on but can't. They have very small hand and not much strength in them so I have confidence that these will last for a long time. You really have to push the side buttons and pull it off, my daughters can't do this. To apply the ones in my kitchen I removed the adhesive provided on the lock all together and stuck it on with command strips instead to save the cabinets in our rental house. My daughters pull and pull on them and even using command strips instead of the provided adhesive they haven't been able to pull them off. Still love them! EDIT FEBRUARY 29, 2016: My daughters are now 4.5 years olds and just finally discovered how to undo these locks. Luckily we don't much need them anymore, so I removed them all. I highly recommend these locks over any other type for keeping small children out of drawers, cabinets, fridges, dishwashers, etc etc. They worked excellently for us for a little over 3 years!

They stick and are strong but don't use them on fancy things!
I bought another brand with an adjustable strap and it could not handle my family and so these are the replacements. These Munchkin latches work BEAUTIFULLY. They've held up three weeks to a houseful of kids and two adults who routinely forget the fridge is latched shut and pull on it while closed. No sign of falling apart or coming loose! I love that either side can be unlatched and that once you do unlock it, it swivels down instead of getting caught in the open fridge door while the forgetful 7 year old wanders away thinking the fridge is closed when it's actually propped open. My clever two year old knows what he needs to do to open the lock but he doesn't have the dexterity to actually get it open (minor miracle). As a mother to three kids who's done her fair share of baby-proofing over the last 11 years with all kinds of products: if you can, skip the latches and just put "safe" things in the lower cabinets. Put the cleaning supplies up high. Unless your kid is at risk of lopping off a finger or two from a lazy susan corner cabinet, I would NOT put these on your fancy cabinets or expensive furniture you'd like to keep. If the adhesive works this well, it will DESTROY your fancy cabinets/wood/painted surfaces unless you have 3 hours and all the patience to scrape that crap off when you no longer need these. Save these puppies for the fridge, trash can or toilet - surfaces that are smooth and not porous. Go ahead and put it on the crappy IKEA TV stand that you plan on discarding in a year or three because your 7 year old decided to carve doodles into the top of it with an empty mechanical pencil on the last day of second grade. If you have nice kitchen cabinets or a mean landlord, invest in the fancy magnetic locks.
